I've been watching you guys for almost a year now. I have enjoyed your shows a lot. look forward to meeting you in the next year or two. I am looking for a bigger boat and planning on moving to the Caribbean myself. thanks for the entertaining shows.
Thank you, Chrisdennis, for being with us for so long! It would be great if we met sometime. Living in the Caribbean sounds great; we actually lived in Grenada for a while many years ago. Very fond memories. What kind of boat are you on now and what are you looking for? 😘❤️
Thank you, William! You know I love reading your comments. Steve and I have been together for quite sometime and we find it easy to work, live and enjoy life together. Have a wonderful day and you, too, stay safe and healthy. 😘❤️🥰
Hello, and thanks again for this video. But for ten minutes, I see way too much mechanics, and not enough of the beautiful Karen ... 😇❤❤ Continue this life for a long time, and thank you for making us dream !
It would be great to find out how the water is getting in the fuel to begin with . Wondering if you took a graduated cylinder and do a sample before filling the tank. Water should settle out pretty quickly. The lake I live on has several gas stations around the lake . Many have been known to have water in their gas . I imagine diesel is the same . A vice is one of the first things I install when I build a new house. Nothing handier. If I think of a way to mount one solidly but easily detachable Illlet you know. I admire you both for your tenacity and sticktoitness. Your boat is beautiful.
Thank you for your great comment, Garyvanvoorhis7026! We'd love to completely solve the question of how water is getting in the fuel. Hopefully the things that we and the boatyard have done will cure the issue. Isabella is a boat of many mysteries. She had no documentation and we're still getting to know her. Take care and thank you again for your comment and for watching. ❤️😘
Hello there, Doug. I hope you are doing well and that 2025 has treated you well so far and continues to do so. And you know, I love that you've been with us so long. Take care. 😘❤️😘❤️
Thank you both for another great video. Sorry to hear all the problems you have had with your engine hope it will be fine once you have changed the fuel. Take care your friend accross the pond 😊xx
Hello there, Grant, from the other side of the pond. Thank you and as the saying goes, "This to shall pass." I just hope it's soon. We seem to be making some progress and I am enjoying being at the boatyard and not anchoring; although, the anchorage was more private and it was very nice. Take care and stay warm and safe. 😘❤️😘❤️
Really hope the fuel line problem gets solved soon Steve is like Captain America of the sailing season keeping his trusted partner happy and safe through their sailing adventures And Karen - Captain America would not be possible without you
Hey Yall !! I know all that fuel will run into money , I was goin to say , they make stuff , & cant think of what its called , like a paste or something you can stick your fuel & it will change colors if water is in there . I see yall run off road fuel , which i never give any thought on boats , which is cheaper but still 170 gallons add up quick . Just a thought , do yall have a water filter or separator inline ?? I think last off road fuel i bought was around 2.65 gallon . Good Luck , You two take care , wish Yall well on fuel problems . Im not an expert, just some thoughts .
Hi, Jamesconn. Thanks for the information on the paste stuff. I'll check into that. Our Racor dual filter systems separates water from the fuel. We just had more than it could handle. You are absolutely correct, the fuel bill will not be cheap, especially since with the old fuel there will also be a disposal fee. I'm a little scared to see our final bill; holding my breath. 🤞❤️😘
@@sailingintermission I wonder if it was water in the fuel when purchased ? How else would it get in there ?? I would think the fuel & water would separate , not sure whether water should settle to bottom , but thought so. I just hope someone isnt trying to get in Ya billfold . I would not think all of the old fuel is bad , what i mean , But Yall maybe at their mercy . I know they make a product for fuel that will show water by changing colors , just a thought on checking the old fuel I thought yall had like 4 drums . I mean well , not to upset anybody . Good Luck !!
@ No worries, Jamesconn. The water does sink to the bottom as it is heavier than diesel. One problem has been when we leave this area it is quite choppy. We believe that it is enough to mix the water and diesel again, the Racors filter out some of the water and Steve drains this off while we're out. But then the engine dies. They found some gunk in one filter which would cause the fuel to not flow freely and could have introduced air into the system. Thank you for your concern regarding us not being taken. I think the first folks we had just might have done that. However, when they took out the fuel here we could definitely see more water. Hopefully, it will be all good. I really want to be in our slip up north. Take care and again, thank you for your kind thoughts. 😘❤
@@sailingintermission You are welcome I did mean well , there are so many that will take advantage , if they see the oppurtunity, which is sad . Air will give ya trouble too, from my own experiences, with my diesel tractor . Well you two be safe , wish Yall the best , Take Care !! Thanks for the Videos , always enjoy them !!
I always look to see if I can get a view of the beautiful mouse tattoo, you are such a beautiful lady Miss Karen. I know Steve must be singing a song to you every day, like this classic song. Going out of my head over you, out of my head over you. Out of my head day and night, night and day and night, there must be some way to get you out of my mind. Love the play on words, like cleaning the cockpit. The two of you always make my day, a better day. Just Saying

Hi there, Robin! Steve says thanks. I thought the gear puller kinda looked like a small creature from outer space, LOL. It certainly did the trick and made that part of the DIY easier. You know I'm thrilled you liked my bikini! 😘❤️😘❤️

Love your attitude Steve. Less clothes the better for the admiral’s uniform on board lol. Cheers in 2025 from Canada.
