As a modeler, I have no issue with anyone creating their own files to 3d print. It's no different than finding pre-made parts for a kit bash. Making a model with found pieces versus making a model from scratch using your imagination is always going to be more interesting. The beauty of a build comes from the overall design, and not the parts it is sourced from. The only limit is imagination.
Thanks. I know 3D printing isn't for everyone, and I don't enjoy it nearly as much as scratch building and kit bashing, but I feel it's so useful in supplementing the builds, especially with smaller, specialized pieces.
@@gameyybuilds Thanks. My build video was supposed to go up this weekend but there was a massive fire around the corner from my photo studio and we were evacuated and didn't have access for almost 3 days. So, that put be behind. BTW, watched the video and great as usual.
I personally think the resin turned out great! The murky water helps add to the darker themes of the world. But of course amazing video! Every upload radiates with passion.
Perhaps one of your best yet, you certainly have a flair for walking machines. Excellent use of found items, kit parts and 3D bits, a multimedia triumph. Love the lore and the world you are crafting that gets more vivid with every creation
Hands down one of my favourite worldbuilding projects! The run-down futuristic technology combined with the unique concepts and writing and the way they all fit into a setting that very much feels alive is real special, especially when telling it through model making. I look forward to learning more about the cultures and peoples of this world! And reading the book too, of course 👀 really glad to hear you'll be doing the audiobook yourself!
It's always a sad moment when, after The Algorithm has tossed me a new talented, funny. and inspired scratch builder with a pleasing voice, I eventually have binged it all and will have to wait for more.
I wish you could love a video instead of just liking it. Your stories have captivated me I only just discovered your channel last week and When I heard you were writing a novel about this Nation of Aegis I almost jumped out of my chair. Very inspiring and wonderful work.
With the amount of skills that you have improved over this series I think that we can comfortably call you a Master Crafter, a Bard of Grand Tales, a Sterling Inventor, and, soon, a well loved Author.

The kitbashed, grungy, scavanged look is what defines star wars and it's one of my favourite aesthetics to look at. But especially this one you're using, where the in-universe builders tried to create something reasonably straight lined and symmetrical, not not toally wonky. And shear rather than rotate for adjusting those angles with constant width!!
Love it. super glue in a reef aquarium you glue the rocks with superglue by mixing sand and glue surprisingly a small area can hold alot of weight also puting plastic spurs in your plastic thin cement creates a liquid plastic that helps with thin parts. You probably know that . I just want to help anyway i can so you can get more videos ❤ Awesome job
Another triumph! I like how you change your story style some. You will end on a mystery, or some poetic tragedy, but this was almost just slice of life and was just pleasant. Good change up. Looking forward to thr next and intterested in your novel
I’ll give you a great piece of advice that I learned from somewhere in this interconnected universe of video that has helped me out in my current situation of kitbashing a Boss miniature for a game that I’m currently working on. I also have some cheap toys with the same ‘rubbery’ plastic that is difficult to glue together but the solution is quite easy and you only need two ingredients, superglue and baking soda. Something happens when you add these two together which creates an instant bond and on the plus side it can also look like a welding effect if applied carefully. I love this world you have created and am going to continue watching this video. Hopefully this tip will help you in future projects if need be 👍
Yes, I use superglue and baking soda, but my meaning was more that it is difficult to get a good finish on those rubbery plastic pieces. Gluing it to stuff is usually ok though!

Honestly the Resin coming out more opaque than what you wanted makes me think the Drone is taking them through a blighted area to a unspoiled fishing hole or something
Don't take my comment the wrong way, you're creativity is top notch, as in there's no one better, but the feet are a bit unrealistic to be able to hold such weight. What comes to mind are German WWII Tanks and their suspension; granted severely over engineered and ahead of its time and at the same time the only possible solution to hold such weight. Yes the Camel is an unusual concept to draw inspiration from as their feet seem too small to hold the weight but I digress... The Star Wars AT AT Walkers had a much larger foot print, on purpose, because of the overall weight of the machine itself. Overall the kit is wonderful, very creative and imaginative, but it's the feet that makes is seem undoable. You can use the feet as they are, just add a circle plate at the bottom to spread out the load hence the reason I mentioned WWII German Tanks as they faced the same issue as those tanks became larger... Keep up the great work...
I am speechless, just absolutely incredible story telling and model also just the entire world you have been working on. I love it, keep up the beautiful work. God this is amazing.
I am fairly new here. So I haven’t dug through most of your previous videos. But I enjoy your storytelling as well as your crafting. So I’m very excited about your novel.
Excellent work; both the model and the story it represents! You bring up an interesting point at 11:20, about the nature of scratch building. I just turned 64, and have been model building for over half a century. I'm definitely a product of the Shep Paine school of "Creative Gizmology," and was also very influenced by the professional modelers at Industrial Light and Magic, who famously mined commercially available model kits for their detail "greeblies" when creating the "Star Wars" universe. It occurs to me that what you are doing is yet another iteration of this tradition. But instead of combing the model railroad detail parts section and plastic model kits from the armor section of your local hobby shop, you are doing this process digitally from a wide range of shapes available online that you then adapt and combine before printing them out to make what you want for your projects. And you are not completely abandoning the "old ways" - your technique (and the techniques of many UA-cam craftspeople) is to take the best of these model building methods to produce the best, most imaginative model / diorama possible. This latest entry in your "Beyond the Blight" series is case and point. Keep building, and Happy Modeling!
Nice. I went ahead and picked up a Tshirt because they look pretty awesome. Maybe once your book is done you'd consider making an RPG setting book? Id love to take my players through a world like this.
Would you ever consider putting a cameo of yourself into your world? If so, what region do you think you would reside in or what job do you think you would hold? Love the videos!

I feel that as long as only specific unique parts are 3D printed, then it doesn’t “ruin” the spirit of the project
As a modeler, I have no issue with anyone creating their own files to 3d print. It's no different than finding pre-made parts for a kit bash. Making a model with found pieces versus making a model from scratch using your imagination is always going to be more interesting.
Thanks for the support! Not too sure about doing an RPG book for my world, but we'll see!
What an absolutely beautiful video
Glad you enjoyed it
Would you ever consider putting a cameo of yourself into your world? If so, what region do you think you would reside in or what job do you think you would hold? Love the videos!
