  • I made a few of these as stocking stuffers this Christmas. They make great gifts and look good too. Hope you like the video.

Really cool. I came across this video because I just learned that these Page Holder exist. I was looking on Amazon for something to make my reading experience a little better and I think this is it. Thanks!

You definitely won't save time or money doing it this way. But you get a WAY nicer looking product then the plastic ones.

I'm trying to do this by hand with a coping saw right now and, well, it isn't going well.
Also, my 1" paddle bit isn't big enough for the 1" coupling for some reason :'(

+Sean Kane I'm sorry you're having trouble with this. Here's an idea you could try. Cut out the wi he the best you can, and then wrap the copper with sand paper and use it like a contoured sanding block. That should help bring your two wing pieces into shape. Best of luck, keep it up.

      Thanks for the reply!
I actually just bought a 1 1/4" paddle bit. Since I have to use a coping saw, I hot glued the two "wings" on top of one another to cut and sand them to shape.
Right now, I've boiled my purple heart veneer, clamped then around a spare copper coupling, and am waiting for them to set to shape.
How long did you let the veneer dry?

+Sean Kane awesome! Usually 24h. Water can act as a kicker for some superglue. And it will turn it white, so better safe than sorry. I HOPE IT TURNS OUT GREAT!

Thanks. I like to try and keep my ideas fresh. They sell them in simple plastic, but I like the wood. Looks a lot more classy and clean.

+U&I DIY yeah I hate when I'm selecting through the hundred and fifty thousand UA-cam songs that they have because I use the UA-cam editor and I got the radio playing then it says that there will be no sound in my video or it will be blocked and like 100 different countries because of copyright I hate that
