If I could do it all again I'd do a lot differently. Luckily I was on my parents health insurance still, so all in all cost around 10k out of pocket

After carrying chains, bar oil, a chainsaw, an axe and a shorty shovel in one side for over 3 years. I wiped them out and they where literally perfect again! Living in WNY I know road salt, and vehicle cancer well. There was no rust on that bed at all! I've never seen one of those with rust infact. Theres a tonneau cover that locks and holds 500 lbs, and the new ones are on the remote locks too! Those "hips" I called em where literally so handy and well built they never once leaked, and I was NEVER nice to them!

Its a great truck! I've had one for 9 days. I owned a 2005 TJ Rubicon Unlimited. A beat up 2000 TJ before that and they always lacked storage space but great otherwise. This has the ability to roll no doors, no roof, cargo space, and down a trail. Also comes with a manual transmission. I'm happy I bought one. It's as good as I though it would be.
I hope you don't have any troubles towing your work trailer or personal trailer, TFL did a towing test and it did horribly. It doesn't have a trailer brake controller and the trailer they used was pushing them down the hill while the brakes smoked.
And it's the ugliest thing I've ever seen. I see zero reasons to buy one other than to blow money. Might as well shoot 63k dollar bills out of a cannon.

Ive been on forums for years and dealers always get random models delivered before customer custom orders get delivered even if they are customer #1 and paid whatever for a "launch edition". As a former car dealer I thought you of all people would have known this.
I just put a 2.5" spacer lift, some 295/70/17 (just bigger than a 33" tire) and some spacers on my JL. If you want to do the lift yourself, I could come down and assist (I'm about 3 hours away). For all that stuff I was at $1300, and now it looks just right. Seems like a good deal for such a huge change in appearance.
Double check the weather forecast before leaving home with the top off. Based upon the time to remove it, you'll get drenched before you get it back on.

Before you go out romping do yourself a favor and install an axle truss for the front axle. For some reason they are brittle and crack. There are no unbent used ones available and new housings are pricey. If you lift it do the AEV lift kit it is the best one out. I did a Wrangler unlimited Rubicon for my brother worked great except for the axle issue-

Mine is a 1999 and has 175,800.1 miles don't use oil never had any engine work done family since new. Gas Mileage gets 20 MPG city/24 Highway on 93 octane and runs like a champ. Properly maintained they will due you right .

Mine is a 1999 and has 175,800.1 miles don't use oil never had any engine work done family since new. Gas Mileage gets 20 MPG city/24 Highway on 93 octane and runs like a champ. Properly maintained they will due you right .
The straight six small Cherokee was a real workin' class dog. Tough as nails but rides like a buckboard. The new jeeps are just too shiny and expensive to ever see dirt. Too bad.
