Many congrats. I just got back from the Factory Tour at Bowling Green this past Friday. Right now they are building about 95-97 cars per shift, and 1 in every 12 cars on the line is a Z06. I got to hear a beautiful white Z06 come to life, and get driven off the line for the first time. This was my 3rd time doing the factory tour, first time for my son. First time I did it was back in 1999 with the C5, then in 2016 for the C7, now for the C8. What a car the current Z06 is. For now, I'll stick to, and enjoy my 2004 CE Z06.
Cool to know that the factory tour is back in swing. Might have to look into that for a summer road trip with my son! We had planned on doing it in 2020....yeah. My son is actually waiting on his own order, a 2023 ZL1 1LE. Should be fun!

@@theonlybucko if you watch the video, the dealer guy states they sold 3 of them with a $50k markup. They say they held the 4th for a special occasion. When hoovie inquires about the markup, they say "oh that's not for you". IE they waived the markup because of Hoovie's celebrity status. Any Joe off the street who tried to buy that car would have paid $200k.

Good for you! I'm proud of recently getting a 2012 Honda Accord coupe V6. That car made me so happy to have 271 HP and felt like I was king! Obviously my dreams are limited to my financial situation, but I'm happy still so Happy for you. Beautiful cars, Beautiful wife, and kids, great friends! @nimaside just work hard my dude. When I started out my pop bought my first Honda Accord in-line 4. Next I bought and paid for my 2009 V6 accord with 270hp cost me 28000. Great car had a couple issues.. but overall good car and it’s pretty nice especially with leather. In 2016 I bought a 392 Hemi charger. 2018 I traded it in for a 2019 hellcat charger. A year later I bought another car. Now I own a 2019 Hellcat Charger and a 2019 Redeye Widebody Challenger. Just stay focused you’ll get there my dude! 🎄✌️

I'm sure Tyler will give him the tour and take him for a ride, but I don't see the need for the whole 9 yards on this particular car right now (even though Tyler bringing hoopties into the Car Wizard to inspect are my favorite content on this channel).

@@derekgardin1512 eh, there are too many reasons not to have a manual.. its faster automatic with the DCT. Its 8 gears and rowing 8 gears is not what most people want. Then the biggest issue, nobody buys manuals. Everyone says they want it and then the people buying the cars leave the manuals on the lot. Just for measure not having a manual gearbox option they can save on development costs and ultimately the sticker price.
@@brianm.595 Dumb reasons... No one cares about the ms the DCT has on a manual. The manual doesnt need to have 8 speeds, WTF?? DO you even know what youre speaking about? As for sells. Were talking about sport cars, not camrys. Manual Porsches sell like hot cakes. It wouldnt be a problem. This is just GM being cheap in development. Same reason they used these ridiculous push rod engines, heavy frames, etc... As long as they can stick big tyres and lots of screens on their cars, they never improve nor refine them. well its called being a man who is touch with his chi, his Karma, and he really is the karma youtuber, as by trying to be a good sport and keep his friend employed while trying to be a good person in regards to everything else regardless of his wealth and status, which can get to be abit much at times as you just go oh come on with what he buys lol that being said as soon as he said he sold the shelby, which I and alot of people went dont do its a shelby, a real one at that I immediately went to the website and checked to see what it was going for and its already gone, like god damn it lol as if he didnt want it I'd certainly take it and put a 30K deposit down and get that thing for a trade in of my car and 35K lol like if that was 65K for limited miles and garage kept, that was a fair price for a proper shelby, which even the old man would have been proud of and props to ford for making it, and keeping his name alive.

@@Tracert-mc1hu I have a targa C7 Z51 - its no where near as nice as being able to push a button. I'd be more then happy to have a C8 'vert next. Never been a fan of floppy fabric top cars but hard folding tops especially like this look great.
@@johnmoore3504 I like the retractable hard tops better, but I'm scared of the mechanism breaking. I'd rather fool with the top for the 10 times a year or so I'd take it off rather than risk it breaking. The Cadillac XLRs were notoriously bad about that. Personally, I'd probably just get the coupe.

Unfortunately I was taken off this project earlier on and switched to the Silverado EV. Everytime I had to go to Milford and hear these screaming from across Sloan lake a single tear ran down my check. Anyway, it's an incredible machine, and probably one of the last great pure ICE vettes.

so basically what we learned from CT9 was; buy a C8 Z06 with a "lifetime warranty" on a first gen, new flat plane engine platform.. but it comes with a free tank of gas. (With a new engine that will NOT get the correct milage until after a few tanks)

Is it just me or does this vette's front bumper appear to be slightly different color than the rest of the car? The fit seems to be a little off on the front right as well. Maybe the camera is just doing weird things but the color definitely looks slightly different.
My wife and I had a 2017 and 2019 Stingray, each with a 6.2L V8 and 460 horsepower. We sold hers in 2021 and mine last May. I cannot even imagine what 670 hp would be like AND having an 8,600 rpm redline! Lucky man you are, Hoovie.
Beautiful! Congrats, Tyler! I love that spec and the base wheels look SOOOOO much nicer than the optional carbon fiber wheels. The only thing I'd change is having the black finish stripped from the wheels and then get them highly polished and clear coated.

I think the only bummer for me is that so often these dealer allocations are spec'd out by the sales manager who (understandably) is looking to maximize profit. It would be infinitely better if the 4 buyers of these cars got to spec them themselves from the factory. I think this would lead to more unique cars

I believe his dad had a dealership and his grandma gifted him an expensive mercedes as his first car. His family seems to buy a lot of cars, i dont think he started from scratch I think he grew up around a lot of automotive transactions and hes made a youtube channel out of it. If your first car wasnt $20k-$25k mercedes at 16 i dont think the "from scratch" process is quite the same

Nicest color combo I have seen Hoovie. Congratulations! Convertible spec on that car aka no carbon wheels is superb. Pretty upsetting Chevy has permitted such outrageous mark ups aka allowing their dealers to do it...and so glad because of your standing you were able to get one at a fairer value which happens to be the nicest one I have seen.
Manufacturers actually have no control over the actual price that dealers set. They can only give a suggested retail price or MSRP and the dealer can do whatever they want with that information. Most of the time the dealers just stick with that price because they know the number has a ton of calculations, cost to build, transport, warranty, market demand, etc, that go into it, but when it comes to a crazy in demand car they can jack the price to the moon and still sell it. Basically Chevy doesn't want to permit this, but it doesn't have much of a choice. The only thing manufacturers can do is to allocate less cars in the future to incentivize the dealer to stop mark ups, but it rarely works. Terrible situation, and it's a big reason why Ford is trying to buy out a ton of its dealers.

C8 prices, independent of the Z06 are already starting to plummet. There are now 2LT C8's used with low miles sitting at dealers for $80K and with increased supply and economy going to into a recession you will see MSRP more the norm than the exception.

We have friends that roll up in their new cars or on their new bikes just to show us the new features. @@jonathonsanders2508 I mean as far as doing the full inspection, lifting it, checking under the car, etc. Don't get me wrong, when I get a new car, I tell everyone all about, and if we're meeting up I always give them the tour and maybe take a ride. I'm sure Tyler will give him the tour and take him for a ride, but I don't see the need for the whole 9 yards on this particular car right now (even though Tyler bringing hoopties into the Car Wizard to inspect are my favorite content on this channel).

@@derekgardin1512 eh, there are too many reasons not to have a manual.. its faster automatic with the DCT. Its 8 gears and rowing 8 gears is not what most people want. Then the biggest issue, nobody buys manuals. Everyone says they want it and then the people buying the cars leave the manuals on the lot. Just for measure not having a manual gearbox option they can save on development costs and ultimately the sticker price.

& all you gotta do to get a Z06 is sell ur soul by shilling the GM product and the dealership who ya got it from. I'm glad he got rid if the GT500. Now it can go to someone who will actually drive it and enjoy it. The Shelby is the last real American muscle car, that will still go around a corner. Wonder why you don't have to overfill the Ford DCT tranny when ya track it? & why isn't everyone crying foul over the transmission not being a manual on the Z06 yet? Cuz that's all the cry baby's did, when the Shelby GT500 got the same type Trans??

@@Tracert-mc1hu I have a targa C7 Z51 - its no where near as nice as being able to push a button. I'd be more then happy to have a C8 'vert next. Never been a fan of floppy fabric top cars but hard folding tops especially like this look great.
@@johnmoore3504 I like the retractable hard tops better, but I'm scared of the mechanism breaking. I'd rather fool with the top for the 10 times a year or so I'd take it off rather than risk it breaking. The Cadillac XLRs were notoriously bad about that. Personally, I'd probably just get the coupe.

Unfortunately I was taken off this project earlier on and switched to the Silverado EV. Everytime I had to go to Milford and hear these screaming from across Sloan lake a single tear ran down my check. Anyway, it's an incredible machine, and probably one of the last great pure ICE vettes.

so basically what we learned from CT9 was; buy a C8 Z06 with a "lifetime warranty" on a first gen, new flat plane engine platform.. but it comes with a free tank of gas. (With a new engine that will NOT get the correct milage until after a few tanks)

Is it just me or does this vette's front bumper appear to be slightly different color than the rest of the car? The fit seems to be a little off on the front right as well. Maybe the camera is just doing weird things but the color definitely looks slightly different.

My wife and I had a 2017 and 2019 Stingray, each with a 6.2L V8 and 460 horsepower. We sold hers in 2021 and mine last May.
I cannot even imagine what 670 hp would be like AND having an 8,600 rpm redline! Lucky man you are, Hoovie.
Beautiful! Congrats, Tyler! I love that spec and the base wheels look SOOOOO much nicer than the optional carbon fiber wheels. The only thing I'd change is having the black finish stripped from the wheels and then get them highly polished and clear coated.

I think the only bummer for me is that so often these dealer allocations are spec'd out by the sales manager who (understandably) is looking to maximize profit. It would be infinitely better if the 4 buyers of these cars got to spec them themselves from the factory. I think this would lead to more unique cars

I believe his dad had a dealership and his grandma gifted him an expensive mercedes as his first car. His family seems to buy a lot of cars, i dont think he started from scratch I think he grew up around a lot of automotive transactions and hes made a youtube channel out of it. If your first car wasnt $20k-$25k mercedes at 16 i dont think the "from scratch" process is quite the same

This is the 3rd or 4th delivery of a Z06 I've seen on UA-cam, but I really appreciate how you mentioned the warranty. That was the first time I've heard that info.

Convertible spec on that car aka no carbon wheels is superb.
Pretty upsetting Chevy has permitted such outrageous mark ups aka allowing their dealers to do it...and so glad because of your standing you were able to get one at a fairer value which happens to be the nicest one I have seen.
Manufacturers actually have no control over the actual price that dealers set. They can only give a suggested retail price or MSRP and the dealer can do whatever they want with that information. Most of the time the dealers just stick with that price because they know the number has a ton of calculations, cost to build, transport, warranty, market demand, etc, that go into it, but when it comes to a crazy in demand car they can jack the price to the moon and still sell it. Basically Chevy doesn't want to permit this, but it doesn't have much of a choice. The only thing manufacturers can do is to allocate less cars in the future to incentivize the dealer to stop mark ups, but it rarely works. Terrible situation, and it's a big reason why Ford is trying to buy out a ton of its dealers.

C8 prices, independent of the Z06 are already starting to plummet.
There are now 2LT C8's used with low miles sitting at dealers for $80K and with increased supply and economy going to into a recession you will see MSRP more the norm than the exception.
