Two videos today! Thanks. The daily swish and swipe has made a huge difference for me. I feel like there's nothing to do in my bathroom now, so I just mopped the floor. I keep a squeegee in the shower to do the walls after showering. It prevents soap buildup and mineral deposits from water drops drying, and mould can't grow when everything is dryed. I wipe the chrome dry with a hand towel, as I want to put a fresh one out anyway. The shower is in our tub, so once in a while, when everything, including me, is still wet I take a cloth and clean the tub with baking soda, sometimes the grout too. I used to be all-or-nothing with cleaning, so I've been amazed to see what difference little daily routines make.
Dearest Diane, happy Mother's Day! I hope you had a wonderful day!!! I had a great weekend!!! I also needed to sort my jewelry because I needed a special pin to wear this weekend and couldn't find it!!! I have 4 double sided hanging jewelry holders that I decluttered down to 1 1/2 jewelry holders. I know I spent much more than 15 minutes (like all day) but the difference was that I chose to do this as fun(?). I got so much done and got rid of SO much. Incredible!!! PS I found my pin!!! I did get dressed to shoes although I spent most of the day sitting on the floor sorting stuff into piles. And LABELING so that everything has its place. I did get out of the house to get more labels from the office supply store + fill up gas tank for next week so that's done!!! I didn't "shop" as per usual at Staples, I went in for labels, got labels, paid for labels & left!!! 😁😁😁. Have a great week and it's Day 15 for me!!!
Happy Mother's Day Diane. My mom and I had a picnic on Saturday. Everybody else had the same idea. Lots of families and couples at the park, one was celebrating a birthday. Mom made hummus sandwiches, and I brought Buffalo Cauliflower Bites (we're vegetarian). I got together with my dad and stepmom on Sunday, we had pizza (Boboli).
Love your videos and have been following you religiously for a few weeks now. You give me a lot of motivation. I was wondering if you can tell us what your "Sea Swim" is all about? We don't have them here in the States, not that I know of. Thank you so much and keep on keeping on.

+Shelly's Morning Great question! If you are feeling comfortable with the Babysteps, are being consistent with your Routines (dressing to shoes etc) and if you have the energy...then feel free to join in!
This is off the subject but it does have to do with running a household and family. You seem so smart so I wanted to ask you what you think of family living together? Like my older son, my mom elderly and I are thinking of living together? I just don't want it to be to much for my mom, or me or my son. I'm disabled so I won't be able to do things that I've always done. I think my son thinks I can. I'm just scared it might be a mistake.
Hi Yvonne! Perhaps you could have a family pow wow...sit down together and each make a list of pros and cons, and discuss any concerns you have. Good luck!
Yvonne Jeanette Maybe you could print off flylady's detailed cleaning lists for your family pow-wow and include your daily and weekly routines as well. Honestly look at them and decide who would do what given their various challenges, and if everyone seems happy with the way it divides up that's a great start. Often the biggest challenge in living together is making sure everyone pulls their weight and no one feels put-upon. If you have the chores sorted going in, half the battle is over 😉 Good luck

I need more help if you don't mind, Diane. Now, my son has given his 30 day notice to his landlord and put first and last month's rent and a cleaning deposit down on the house for all three of us. When he came up he bought me a lot of boxes and tape and wrapping paper. We all looked at color samples for the wall and choose them. So my mom and I each gave our 30 day notice. Now, my mom is having second thoughts because my brother keeps calling her and talking about negative things! It makes me so upset! He is not thinking of my son and all he is doing for my mom! It should be him taking care of her! He has done it quite a few times on the subject! Now she wants to cancel her 30 day notice and then that will change the date that my son has planned to pick us up! I don't know what to do. I really would like to crawl in a hole!
Are you on instagram Diane? I wondered if you wanted to see pictures of areas we've 'flown' in? My pantry has wanted a deep clean for a loooong time and finally I got it done last week in Zone 2! so proud of myself I wanted to share it with you!

that's the problem. My mom and I can't do much so a lot of everything will fall on my son and he is a Pastor so his job is hardly ever done
