Took me about 4 hours to transfer and organize everything. 128k messages, 14.3k pictures and 300 videos. Along with a bunch of notes and pdf files. I was both impressed and depressed at the same time lmao.
You can hold down the flashlight icon and set the brightness of the flashlight. Note: It's not at the brightest setting by default.

I just bought the S24 Ultra after using the 15 Pro Max and I'm realizing just like you how crazy of a device it is at being an all-in-one machine from being a phone, to handling work with meetings and emails and docs, to gaming, to being a photo beast. I would love to see a 'workflow' video of the S24 Ultra or ways you've organized your device from storage, files, and apps - since I'm still fairly new to Samsung OS. Thank you so much! I'm as hyped as you Dad (in your unboxing, best accessories, and two weeks later videos)!
No one is talking about screen capture, and the option to highlight the text on the image, I guess the phones before that could do it, but I'm coming from a note 10, so it was so cool when I found this out.

The connected devices feature doesn't need to be in Dex mode. I just tried it in tablet mode with my Tab S7+ ans S23 Ultra.

How do you add mobile Hotspot to the quick settings? I looked and opened the edit function to add more. I don't see it.
When I switch over all the info from my iPhone to the S24 Ultra do I need to transfer app data? When I download the apps and login all of my game progress, financial info, etc will already be there from the app servers, right?
Does it have a bypass charging when playing games like ROG phones?
For the writing AI features can you use another keyboard (such as Gboard) instead of Samsung keyboard? Or is Samsung keyboard required??

Interested in s24 ultras ability to handle multiple spreadsheets, say 6 different hefty ones, so I won't need a laptop. Can you please test it's abilities and is there a lag?
I have used protect battery fearure since s22 ultra, and 85% lasted me all day.
We shall see about the new 80%
Oh nice, I hope it works out just as well. I assume with that gigantic battery it should easily make it a full day on 80%. But we'll have to find out for sure in a follow up.
I use the routine feature to enable battery protect from 10:00 pm until 6:15 am. It then switches off and my phone reaches 100% charge right at the time my alarm goes off. So it's fully charged but it hasn't been sitting on the charger at 100% for hours.
How do I do that?
Hey Gary, as someone who has went from iPhone,iPad,Apple Watch to the Samsung equivalent. Which do you prefer. I’m debating making the same switch but just looking for other opinions from people who did the same. Great videos.
I'm going back and forth myself right now. I like the hardware from Samsung better, but I have A LOT tied up in my apple accounts (wallet, family account, etc) where its really tough to swap between the two.

The ecosystem is pretty solid from Apple my down for apple is the apple watch can't be used or even activated unless you have a iPhone earlier generations could be done on an iPad or ipod touch.. Last iPhone I had was I believe the 5s if I remember right that was a long time ago :/ @@TheEverydayDad
I work in tech, so I'm also constantly switching back and forth, too. I also had too many ties to the Apple ecosystem, but it's getting easier to overcome. Apple Music coming to Android was a huge help, and when Apple starts to support RCS soon, I'm hoping it breaks down the SMS vs iMessage barriers a little bit (holding my breath on that one). I switched from the iPhone 14 PM to a Google Pixel 7, and recently pre-ordered the S24U, so I'm not looking back now. In the past I've had alot of switcher regret, but that's gotten a lot easier to overcome, and haven't had any impulses to switch back this past year.
@@TheEverydayDadim in the exact same boat. I’m so tied in it’s unbelievable but so damn intrigued to try the s24 ultra. Researching thing that can be done to still be able to control and find my kids iPhones, maybe try beeper mini for iMessage, etc.
Download good lock for even more customisations. For those coming from an iphone this can also do split screen multitasking
How does one set a custom “notification sound” for google messenger? Was able to do that for my Note 20 ultra, seems to have lost that ability on the new 24ultra

Hi Gary. Thank you so much for the very helpful video. I'm thinking of switching from iPhone 14 Pro to S24 Ultra and I want to ask about the cable you used to transfer your data. So the cable should have on the one end lighting and on the other end usb c. Correct? And the other question I have is about the esim card. When you transfered you data you transfer th esim too? Or this is a separate process?
No it was the included USB-C cable for the S24 ultra. The 15 pro max also has USB-C. You'd probably need the 14 PM cable that has lightning and USB-C to do the same thing. I didn't transfer an E-SIM so I don't know if that would happen at the same time, but you should be able to work with your carrier to get the E-SIM swapped.

Just went from a 14 pro max to the s24ultra. They sent a sim in my box. Was kinda a hassle to get it activated but I'm digging it so far.

Hi Gary, if you know you want the full menu without having to view the Notifications, when you swipe down from the top, use two fingers at the same time, it will give you the full menu without having to re swipe a second time. Just a thought... All of the Samsung phones that I've owned have been that way.

Can you transfer all texts from iphone to s24 ultra?
I have a problem with videos we play from internet sites. With iPhone you can fit those videos on full screen but how can we do on samsung device? Plz
when you used the device as a dual screen with the tablet, can you do the same with the device and laptop?
Have you gone into developer mode and adjust the animation scale? Change it to .5

I just got the S24Ultra a few days ago. So far so good but I haven't learned much. LOL! I'm 65 yrs old and technically challenged. Thats why I came to UA-cam to learn more about it. So thanks for your video.

Samsung is king of mobile phones. And I'm a guy that is completely in the Apple Ecosystem. The S24 Ultra is SO GOOD! It makes iPhone look like a baby. The S24 does everything better and customized to my exact specs.

Mine is not acting correctly. Most of my calls are going to voice mail. My text messages will not show on lock screen even though it is setup to do so. I am not sure how to fix it. AT&T cannot figure it out either
The organization of the notes into categories is insane. My notes on my old S21 got out of hand with things without titles, no logical theme or order. Now they have colour themes so I can better organize my work notes and personal notes
All my life i had galaxy Notes and my last phone just died 😢. So i end up getting this one and little disappointed. A lots of minus's compare to my old phone. I wish I did more research before buying 🤧

Yes, with magsafe case. I bought a few, but will probably return them. Magsafe charging technology is so slow.
Be careful as well with magnets on the back of the phone, as it effects the writing of the spen.

I switched everything over as you did. My messaging looked just like yours i woke up this morning and my messages are different. All the cool things are gone its a blank bar 😢 i did not change anything

I had to do it wirelessly because if you go low batt you can't charge and transfer at the same time. Also, you'll need to restart the whole process if you go low batt.

Is there a dual sim tray please? I have dual SIM tray in my s10+ and I'm worried there isn't one in the ultra that's coming for me
I believe its a single sim tray but can also take an E-Sim at the same time for two sim capability.
Yes it's a dual Sim tray the new s24 ultra when I take my Sim out u put your first Sim on top then flip the tray over and put second one on the back.

Can you not do the dual screen technology with the galaxy S23 ultra and the tab? Also, isn't the AI feature which allow you to circle-search things in the S23 ultra too? The only thing I don't like about the 24 ultra is the corners which look very sharp because they have taken the curvature so I am thinking of going for the S23 ultra. What do you think?
Yes you can do it the S23 also. The AI staff only with the 6.1 update. But the S23 will receive that too.
My S24 Ultra came in Saturday, which I upgraded from the S21 Ultra. It's worth it in my opinion. I only paid around 700 for the phone after doing the trade in program and got a bunch of samsung stuff like a case for free.

What's the best charger to use for an S24 ultra? I'm switching to Samsung & it drives me nuts when phone companies never tell you what charger to buy.
ugreen 45W if you wanna go branded, or any other 25W or 45W brick from amazon with over4 star reviews, 45W is faster
I brought the 45w Samsung charger, yesterday it charged my phone from 15% to 90% in 20 mins

The pen will take a group pic. Just hold it in your hand and push the button. I used it alot with my note 10+

I would. Because you never know. I just all my cases and screen protectors and camera protectos in today. And quickly put them on my phone. S24Ultra.
Even got a case that has a window that slides or flip open that covers the camera

Mine won't recognize any usb mics. Colors are washed out and Vivid mode doesn't do anything. Samsung REALLY needs to get this stuff under control
That's weird, after seeing this comment I plugged in my Hollyland Lark M2 and my DJI wireless mic's via USB-C and both worked. I have noticed there is no difference between natural and vivid modes, but its a pretty saturated screen to start off with.
@TheEverydayDad crazy. It shows the usb detection when I plug the mic in. But then it goes away, and doesn't show "recording using USB mic" like my s21 ultra and s22 ultra did
The colours will be fixed in the first update, seems the vivid mode is broken, and it's one of the biggest complaints.

It literally took me 5 minutes to clone my old phone to this s25 ultra.... he was wrong when he said it would be faster via cable.... i had 1 plus nord 2 5g did clone phone onto my s24 ultra and within 5 to 7 minutes it was like looking at my oneplus menu all apps photos emails ect exactly the same i was mind blown 😂
The "clicker" doesn't do anything. Just for stress relief. I use it constantly on my Note 10.

Not everyone is a big fan of AI. Samsung said they are going to add on AI feature on S24 some of those maybe exclusive and some of them you may even pay to use on monthly basis or to unlock over the life of the phone. If you read the fine print AI feature will end in 2025 from then samsung will make you pay in order to use these AI feature. So think twice before buying S24 unless you don't mind paying all these stuff monthly.😊😅😮

Ai is trash and everyone selling you ai features fails to tell you the functions works only with a couple of pre set apps, translator and all that shit works with a couple of languages its basic and unnecessary unless it they make it more accessible for all apps

i wanted to upgrade for faster performance and flat screen to s24 ultra but that display is huge error if they dont fix. Samsung we love becouse of rich VIVID option if they dont fix they loose milons of costumers.allso they say from some angle there was some lines ect.

Notice when new galaxy comes out they drop test it within waist height and front screen cracks and no one flinch., and when iPhone drop test from a flight of steps to hard concrete the “back” glass breaks and suddenly the whole world claims to be the most fragile iPhone release 🤣 now with the screen washout/vibrance and dull display issue is out every fanboi be like sweeping it under the rug
