- Today we shall start the special journey across the North Atlantic from the Azores back home to mainland Europe.
Or as Ilja says: Cold. Wet. Gusty. High Seas. Home of shit weather. That pretty much sums it up.
This passage was HARD! Depressions hunting us, Thula not able to flee as the systems just move too fast. Had we maybe not chosen the right weather window?
Once again we pinned down all our hope and trust in Thula with her just recently improved rigg. What would break this time on our little floating home? Hopefully not again our back shroud...
Then suddenly - 300nm off the coast of mainland Europe. Whales everywhere! Fascination, Panic. Especially when the water in front us turns red. What on earth had happened?
Enjoy! Thanks for following :)
Единственото място в Света, където човекът е истински свободен , там където животът му зависи само от неговите умения, хладнокръвие и огромна доза КЪСМЕТ !
It's so beautiful that blue and the abyss
Thanks for taking us along with beautifull footage on your journey!
Safe sail!
Brilliant footage. Thank you for sharing your journey.
Thank you so much for sharing your progress home.
Best whale scene ever!
Love hearing you explaining the weather, subscribing
Amazing! Very touching summary of your trip around the world. Looking forward to you seeing you navigating around the arctic circle.
Super-tolles Video von super-tollen Seglern - Danke ❤️
I have seldom commented but loved watching this episode, so full of lovely chatty talk, and great filming of the sea, your boat, its gear, and its buoyancy in those seas. Nice to hear your talk and understanding if weather fronts. I always feel kind of graced when dolphins visit me but I have never encountered Wales as you did.
Thank you for posting.

Excelente, lindo, lindo, lindo. A CNN ou Discovry vão querer comprar esse vídeo. PARABÉNS.
Just amazing!!! Thank you for sharing this journey!!!
I am happy too see you again. I have been following you a long time. Much in the pacific. I hope you come back to Kiel safely.
Thanks!
Que placer ver vuestros videos. Gracias por compartir. Congratulations from Spain.
Well done.
I & j, I have enjoyed your short films so much, thank you. I was pure disappointed when I caught up with you, having delighted in accompanying your travels daily for a few months. I hope all is well with you and your new family. Good luck…….Ray in Dublin
Thanks for these personal sweet words, Ray. We are doing very well and were blessed with a little sunshine that has already had his first sails 🙂 A few films are still coming and then we‘ll see as I (Janna) really enjoy making these episodes. Much love to Dublin, Ilja&Janna
Crossing the Gulf of Biscay during winter is never fun. 0 knot of wind for 24h, then 35-40 knots, then 0 knots, freezing cold, always wet, etc. It's really HARD indeed und nicht viel Spaß. I guess you must have been very glad to reach a harbour ;)
As we‘re a bit behind with the videos the season for the crossing was in late summer(August). It was quite hard anyways😉
Ich liebe Euch!😘Ihr verdient so viel mehr Folower!
Love your videos.
Thanks guys another great video ,did you ever find the need for a inner forestay and staysail?
We would have wished for it at times…!
BIIIIEEEEEW!
😄
Can u put your yacht specs on the introduction.

Outstanding video and amazing editing skills. By the way "trough" is one of those funnily spelled English words that gives you little clue about pronunciation. It rhymes with the German word "Hoff" if that is a help.
Trough is the word sounds like Hoff, through is a different word sounds like throoooo
@@sailingandrunning you are correct. My auto correct got me thanks
