Please pray for me. I deliberately rejected Christ for so long, almost a year. I was a professing Christian, and I walked away with the intention to get saved later, and to just enjoy sin for a little while. I was an apostate and now I am scared I might commit the unforgivable sin. My issue is that I don't want to give up my sin. I know I can't do it without God but I dont want God. I wish I wanted God, but I'm not sure if that feeling is genuine or not. I still love my sin and i wish I didn't love my sin, I'm not sure if this feeling is sincere or genuine. I've been praying for God to make me hate my sin, but I'm not sure if those prayers are sincere or genuine. Please pray that my desire for salvation becomes genuine and sincere and that God saves me. Please pray for me.
I prayed for you! May the Lord help you, give you strength, and draw you near! To give you some context I think I have wrestled with discerning my heart. Sometimes I think it's been difficult to know, sometimes there is just blatantly sin in me. We don't need to know everything. Jesus is the truth. Hold on to him not to your heart. And please know I care. I don't know you, but by God's grace I love you. Please speak with people you trust or with a pastor. Please reach out to me if you would like. I'm not good about checking my inbox, but please reach out and I'll try to check for a reply.
Sin is almost always vanity. If you are greedy, you will die and all the money/materialism you had in this life will mean nothing in eternity. If you struggle with lust you can have sexual experiences but you will desire them again and will not be satisfied, same with gluttony and food, you can satisfy your flesh but you will be hungry again. Instead, we should desire God/holiness which can satisfy our souls. I would say just keep coming to God and talking to him. Be as genuine as you can possibly be because you can't fake him out anyway lol. Plead with him constantly, acknowledge him in all your ways and keep an active line of communication trusting that he will hear you and help you. I hope this advice helps.
That's the problem here, you "trying", if you try to live holy by your own efforts,in this corrupted flesh you will constantly fail. You can't do it bu yourself. Paul by The Holy Spirit said that every sin that is done by us is not of our own accord but the it's b'cus the act of the flesh in which is filled with sin, what we don't wanna do we do(Rom 7:17-20) Sometimes it's not about being a lukewarm but it's because we're pure spirits born of God in Christ filled with The Holy Spirit and living in a corrupted flesh like this one, The Word of God b'cus of that we're in constant battle with the flesh, the flesh is against the Holy Spirit and and The Holy Spirit is against the flesh(Gal 5:17). So as you can see it's a struggle.Trying hard to live righteously with your own efforts is impossible,it's only with Christ can we do it(Philip 4:13).It's only through faith that we were crucified with Jesus on the cross and His Amazing Love which compels are we able to live righteously in the flesh(Gal 2:20, 1Cor 5:14).If you feel your drifting away from Him, first thing is to accept the fact that you've been too focused and distracted with the world so much that you barely notice Him, you may feel a little bad and uncomfortable but it's a good thing, that means it's the conviction of The Holy Spirit working in you(John 16:8).Then ask God to help you in your walk with Him through His Holy Spirit in you.He should strengthen you in faith in Him. Believe that you've received(Mark 11:24) and step out in faith, challenge yourself to doing something(praying, fasting, preaching to yourself, reading the Word etc).. just challenge yourself. It may see a bit hard at first cus your flesh will try to get in the way with mixed thoughts to get you not to do it, but stand your ground and be steadfast in faith, let it know that "the Love of Christ compels you to live for Him, and His Love is much stronger that your flesh", confess it with your believe and say it(2Cor 4:13). It's only through faith are we saved not by works of yourself,it's the Gift of God(Eph 1:17). Everything I've told you are not works used to sustain your salvation no, for salvation is not earned. But all the things I told are good works produced from having faith in Jesus.Prayer is a convo between us and God, we talk to our friends b'cus we trust them right, same with God, we talk to Him b'cus we have faith in Him. If you continue to have the mindset of living up to the expectations of God by your own efforts, it's not gonna work, but if you believe that the Love of Christ compels you to live righteously for Him and through faith in Him you're righteous and have peace with God(1Cor 5:14, Philip 3:9,Rom 5:1). You will see the Glory of God in your life.MAY GOD STRENGTHEN YOU TO LIVE FOR HIM IN JESUS NAME.AMEN🙏🏽
Yes sir and amen. Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and the ends of the Earth. And nobody is exempt. I wrote a book on this called do work because it is the one office in the five full ministry that everybody is called to carry. Thank you for your faithfulness to the gospel
I thought this was true for my life honestly. I don’t think missions is necessarily what I’m called to, at but I know there are communities I can evangelize to that are associated with the talents I’ve been given. I guess it just depends on what “unreached people” means, and what the passion mentioned in the video looks like.
Unreached people meaning those that haven't heard the gospel? Like Paul explains in romans 10 14How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? 15And how shall they preach unless they are sent?

Piper must be reacting to the common pushback against overseas missions which is to say that we have more than enough people near us that need saved. However, "missions" is not a Scriptural term. Consequently, one can define it pretty much however they want to. You can't provide Scripture which supports the claim that missions is this or missions is that. You can, as Piper, define it how it has been traditionally defined, but these ways of trying to distinguish it from evangelism are by and large arbitrary, at least speaking of the issue from a technical theological standpoint.
Pauls life was a missionary life as well as many of the apostles, there’s not arguing against that. Gaza Philip preached of Christ and baptized an Ethiopian eunuch on his way to Gaza (Acts 8:26-39). Jerusalem See map 12 for events in Jerusalem. Joppa Peter received a vision that God grants the gift of repentance to the Gentiles (Acts 10; 11:5-18). Peter raised Tabitha from the dead (Acts 9:36-42). Samaria Philip ministered in Samaria (Acts 8:5-13), and Peter and John later taught here (Acts 8:14-25). After they conferred the gift of the Holy Ghost, Simon the sorcerer sought to buy this gift from them (Acts 8:9-24). Caesarea Here, after an angel ministered to a centurion named Cornelius, Peter allowed him to be baptized (Acts 10). Here Paul made his defense before Agrippa (Acts 25-26; see also JS-H 1:24-25). Damascus Jesus appeared to Saul (Acts 9:1-7). After Ananias restored Saul’s sight, Saul was baptized and began his ministry (Acts 9:10-27). Antioch (in Syria) Here disciples were first called Christians (Acts 11:26). Agabus prophesied famine (Acts 11:27-28). Great dissension arose at Antioch concerning circumcision (Acts 14:26-28; 15:1-9). In Antioch Paul began his second mission with Silas, Barnabas, and Judas Barsabas (Acts 15:22, 30, 35). Tarsus Paul’s hometown; Paul was sent here by the Brethren to protect his life (Acts 9:29-30). Cyprus After being persecuted, some Saints fled to this island (Acts 11:19). Paul traveled through Cyprus on his first missionary journey (Acts 13:4-5), as did Barnabas and Mark later (Acts 15:39). Paphos Paul cursed a sorcerer here (Acts 13:6-11). Derbe Paul and Barnabas preached the gospel in this city (Acts 14:6-7, 20-21). Lystra When Paul healed a cripple, he and Barnabas were hailed as gods. Paul was stoned and presumed dead but revived and continued preaching (Acts 14:6-21). Home of Timothy (Acts 16:1-3). Iconium On their first mission, Paul and Barnabas preached here and were threatened with stoning (Acts 13:51-14:7). Laodicea and Colosse Laodicea is one of the branches of the Church that Paul visited and received letters from (Col. 4:16). It is also one of the seven cities listed in the book of Revelation (the others are Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamos, Thyatira, Sardis, and Philadelphia; see Rev. 1:11). Colosse lies 11 miles (18 kilometers) to the east of Laodicea. Paul wrote to the Saints who lived here. Antioch (in Pisidia) On their first mission, Paul and Barnabas taught the Jews that Christ came of the seed of David. Paul offered the gospel to Israel, then to the Gentiles. Paul and Barnabas were persecuted and expelled (Acts 13:14-50). Miletus While here on his third mission, Paul warned the elders of the Church that “grievous wolves” would enter the flock (Acts 20:29-31). Patmos John was a prisoner on this island when he received the visions now contained in the book of Revelation (Rev. 1:9). Ephesus Apollos preached here with power (Acts 18:24-28). Paul, on his third mission, taught in Ephesus for two years, converting many people (Acts 19:10, 18). Here he conferred the gift of the Holy Ghost by the laying on of hands (Acts 19:1-7) and performed many miracles, including casting out evil spirits (Acts 19:8-21). Here worshippers of Diana raised a tumult against Paul (Acts 19:22-41). Part of the book of Revelation was addressed to the Church at Ephesus (Rev. 1:11).
Christ died for your sins, so you can live in freedom. Romans 3:23-26 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus. Ephesians 1:13-14 KJV 13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, 14 Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory. Piper, since pride is so very fatal, how about organizing an anti-pride march? We’ve been barking up the wrong tree. Maybe we could search the texts of scripture for what certainly must be the first commandment, Thou Shalt Not Do Pride. (Why hasn’t anyone thought of this before? I feel like giving myself a pat on my back.) You can convince the in-place prolife infrastructure to recalibrate to pride, something that they will surely be wiling to do.
