FYI Colson is 8 TD passes away from tying the Bulls single season record. If this team can play for the MAC title he should get it done. Even if they don't it's still possible in 3 games.
Couldn't help but notice Cane never showed the offense with a QB under center… curious to see how that perpetual quagmire gets addressed. (At the very least, we know it's not Westbrook because an earlier teaser implied he'd been traded - I know he sucked in and of himself, but y'all hated him from the outset and I still feel like he was done dirty despite all evidence to the contrary, so RIP him and RIP me, I guess.) In any case, looking forward to seeing the Saints come marching in again! Hopefully this time they'll finally live up to the offseason hype and stop being the greatest disappointment since 1844. :P
@@nicholasbuffone175 Oh MAN...I'd totally forgotten about all the Westbrook SJWs! Like every other SJW movement IRL it was a colossal failure on every level.
This was a fun one, non-stop action with the defence coming in clutch. But gotta do something about this defense overall...(Also for realism sake, if you experience another one of those "turnovers" that's clearly not a turnover, you're able to challenge it yourself for some reason and keep your timeout)
Play of the game, Roche laying out with that catch. Out of FG range at the time, and was looking like it could be headed for a heartbreak if he doesn't get that.
Exciting game! It's really wonderful to see Burch, Roche, and Cajuste making key catches; they've come a long way from where they started. Kent State and Akron games at home are very winnable, and both Sperling and Staley are within striking distance of 1,000 yards rushing and receiving, respectively, so don't take your foot off the gas. Recruiting Maier is a major coup, and I'm honestly surprised that battle wasn't more competitive-- he was the number one prospect in Iowa, and neither the Hawkeyes nor the Cyclones could be bothered to offer him a scholarship?-- but everyone else's loss is Buffalo's gain. I expect that with Burch and Sperling graduating, we'll see quite a bit of him as a true freshman behind Leon Dingle, unless Ojinnaka takes a big step in off-season training or someone else (Babineaux, Pacheco, Proche) gets moved to RB in the offseason. Can't wait for the Saints franchise to return, and the "halftime show" had me hyped. I'll start the conversation early: Barry Skelton needs more touches.
Love this! Just got to year 4 of my own Ball State dynasty and I've been playing the past few seasons with Davis & Semonza myself. Love to see them make a guest appearance here after getting me my first MAC title last season!
Completely random, but this game reminded me you need to change Kevin Babineaux or Eric Pacheco to RB this off-season. With Colson set to come back next year, Elway still here, and Ogbonna coming in, I’d definitely move Babineaux or Pacheco to RB with it being a more shallow position.
Yeah, definitely need to thin out the QB room and reinforce the RB corps. My personal preference is Babineaux to WR, Pacheco to RB/FB (to play the Taysom role), and possibly Sean Proche to RB as well-- he's capped pretty badly as a WR, but his size (5'7"), hands, and reasonably good shiftiness make him an intriguing possibility as a change-of-pace receiving back.
Dallas Roche has to be one of the better development stories of the series so far dude has become a key part of the offense despite being a 52 or something when he was recruited
Let’s gooooo!!! Offense did great. The defense stepped up well to the end even with the issues still being prominent. A hard fought game win. And I’m looking forward to the Saints series returning in a few days.
You gotta be more than a 1-star program after this season. You are gonna be in another bowl game, and will have 5 4-star players on the team next year.
Yeah, being a one star team still would mean this game is broken in yet another area. There's certainly no way more than 2 other MAC teams should have a better star rating.
Sending a blitz every now and then would help your run defense tremendously. Your backers are always in zone coverage. Use them to stop the run a little bit
After that 4th-and-3 broken tackle on Ball State's final drive kept their hopes alive, I honestly thought this game was gonna go to OT too. These episodes' protracted recruitment epilogues keep throwing me for a loop (not that I mind - having all that runtime left helps keep up the suspense, I'd reckon!)
Huh, looks like I tricked myself into thinking he was a senior too- Wait a minute, we're getting a SECOND season of the Colson-Staley connection!? HECK YEAH!!!
So I booted up my CFB25 dynasty and was working the ball down the field… found myself on the 1 yard line and called an inside zone… When I broke the huddle somehow Buffalo’s very own Leon Dingle checked in as my running back and proceeded to score. He disappeared as soon as we kicked the PAT. Weird.
Hey cane just for realism sake, i like to challenge plays that the CPU doesn't even when they should. You don't lose a timeout and it keeps it realistic.
@ yea i figured that out a little ago bc it would be situations where the cpu doesn’t challenge and it felt unfair so i always go back into instant replay and then challenge for them.
Hey Cane hope you see this before you play the next game but for the recruiting battle for Carden, doing hard and soft sell does not work too well anymore, especially with the lower grades. They changed the weight to favor higher grades much more than before and more penalties for wrong picks
The only thing missing from this game was playing in the dark under the lights on a Tuesday airing at 11pm on the East coast. The definition of MACtion.
Cane woulda dropped 60 if he would read inside/ outside leverage pre snap. Also, with a guy like Staley, if you see single high. You just run streaks on both sidelines and make the safety make a choice. He tried it once, but he didn't step into the throw. He rolled away from it and his QB under threw it.
This game settled the dispute once and for all about whether having a good O and bad D or bad O and good D is better. At the end of the day the team with the most points wins, period.
The running game will be fire with De'Angelo Maier, Cane setting his sights even higher. He's gonna slash opposing Ds like barbed wire, that's the truth 'cause I'm no liar.
Next video, could you look at braleon Staley’s dealbreaker? With how much better the passing game is this year, I’m really interested in how much of a factor the dealbreaker will be this offseason
Teams like Miami with a turnover chain, Colorado has the throne, etc. Not sure what triggers it to happen because he’s obviously gotten turnovers before and I didn’t get it until the 2nd or 3rd year of my Wisconsin dynasty as well
The Cane vs MaxPlaysCFB crossover I’ve been hoping for. But it is kinda weird seeing 2 creators I watch use teams in the same conference. Have me looking for certain players and they don’t exist
I have an issue of when I look at team stats and I try to look up the National team stats is not there I can only look up team stats by conference and it’s been like this since the last update (or maybe I’m the only one experiencing this game issue)

De’Aneglo Maier. A 4-Star Running Back out of Goose Lake, Iowa that has a population of 251 people. What a story this is going to be!
I live in Iowa. Didn’t know Goose Lake was a thing. lol
That can def lean into the fact he chose buffalo, wanted that small school, small town feel
Cane’s putting out teaser trailers now. My guy is really in his bag.
Really? I still think he's got a ton of room to improve. He don't do enough pre snap imo, and it makes him play to fast post snap.

Just got to halftime of this game. It's reminding of the Buffalo vs Ball State game from last night
That was an insane game and a perfect example of why weekday MACtion can be the best
17:28 what a route + block from Austin Harris
Harris was a beast at blocking today
Opening the second half with an onside kick? That's a bold strategy, Cotton.
The fact that you can’t audible out of is so dumb
13:10 *CAJOOOOOST!!! HE FINALLY DID SOMETHING!!!* 🤘🤘🤘
Colson was the right move coach Cane!!
It's really sad that some people who I call the ACC (Anti-Colson Crowd) hate him 'cause they ain't him.

For all the routine plays we haven't hit on with him, it felt good to get that one. Very different finish without it.
buffalo looking like the MAC version of the 2024 Baltimore Ravens. bad defense and an offense that can put up 40 like its nothing lmao
Even have a Lamar and a Staley!
Can we just say that this has been canes best season throwing the ball!?!? Like the touchdown to interception ratio is great!!
I don't think it's ever been 4 to 1 in any other series he's ever played 😳 Colson was the perfect QB at the perfect time.
@DolFan316 right! I wonder what's clicked
