This guy is really special. He has unbelievable touch and energy!
Bellucci has been playing so well in this tournament. I hope he has a great year, he’s so entertaining to watch!
Exactly! Really entertaining indeed :D
My predictions is Rublev & Belluchi in the Finals screw Carlos Alcaraz lol 😂
Bellucci had a career win-loss record of 9-10 coming into this tournament; now he's won 5 matches in a row. Impressive stuff.
Shalom Marcél
Je suis d'accord avec vous, je trouve que vous avez bien résumé la situation
And defeated 2 top 10. That's even more impressive :-O
@@Airfabio Tsitsipas is only ranked 12 at the moment, but at least two former top 3.
incredible play, he made tsitsipas look like a top 200 player instead of top 15. Two wins in a week against two former top 3 players? Just out of this world. I love his style of play. Also, shout out to Italy bc so many of their players are making big waves!!
@@corgeousgeorge
Je suis totalement d'accord avec vous monsieur George
Am I the only one who thinks that Mattia Bellucci looks a lot like Dolgopolov? A little physically but especially in the way he runs, in his gestures and in his style of play. Amazing, bravo Bellucci!
I didn't until you said it, but now I can't unsee it haha
Right you are.
Exactly the same, Dolgo was a genius!!
Take a look at Altmier - another Dominic Thiem
And with the ponytail and white headband, like a young Federer. 😂
These HL's don't reflect at all how entertaining this match was - Bellucci's skilful covering of the net, unexpected anticipations and returns of serve, constant change of his serve's hitting spots, unique way of holding position before hitting the ball (with an odd backhand), some well disguised dropshots, and lots of jumping here and there - certainly unorthodox but lots of fun to watch!
He is very fun to watch trying different stuff, not a baseline hitting machine like the usual suspects
@@NM-ty3yi I don t want be unrectfull but I ve seen .....some Agassi flavour in his style....don't he?
@@southmanhattan you're right! I appreciate Sinner but....his tennis is boring. A lot of bad comments will rain now.....😂
@@unodivoi2023
I tell you something so you don't forget..take from me who played tennis for many years. Sinner style of tennis 🎾 is NOT boring!
It's actually very strategical ..it's his patience and tenacity that wins him game after game .
So you are obviously not a Jannik Sinner 's fan. So don't watch his games so you won't jinx the World number one Tennis player
Millions of people love his style..except you and a couple of other "Jealous"
Individuals 😄
@@romeoriossi7419 I m not a jealous guy....someone just said it....🤣 I just say Sinner wins his matches because is strong and patient. But his force stay in a racket that hits a ball like a rocket.... in Bellucci we all se the elegant style of a dancer like Feder. For Nadal Djokovic Sinner Hewyett or Courrier....maybe you are right!!!
This guy has a really fun playstyle to watch! Hope to see a lot more of him !
I’ve been admiring belluccis style for a while now excited to see his match tomorrow!!!!
finally! A breath of fresh air in your nontypical player. His backhand is like Jimmy Connors and he can drive it through the court. topspin forehand, tricky serve and good volleyer. A new favorite player to watch. Goodluck young man. make some splashes in the pond!
Fantastico Mattia, semplicemente fantastico.
We're talking about Bellucci beating two top 10 players this week, Meddy and now Tsitsipas? It's crazy!
Tsitsipas is not top 10
To be fair both of them are in the worst form of their lives. But yeah still crazy
Neither of them are top 10 level players now
Grande Mattia 👏👏👏
@JanTennis Tsitsipas is not a tennis player from long time
Everything worked really well for Bellucci this week. His backhand fully dialed in, that net coverage and net play totally tuned in and I think the excitement for surviving Daniil really gave him the confidence booster to crack to Top 50 within no time after a slow yet steady rise to the Top 100s
That guy made two real statements in a row. 😮
Great to see Bellucci back at a high level.
This guy is what ATP tour need, a non-typical player.
Respect for Bellucci
for, not from
@ 👌🏻
Bellucci another young player showing up in the scenes. Quite a performance in this tournament beating Medvedev and Tsitsipas.
Fantastic! I don't now any player who takes the ball earlier than Bellucci! That's the tennis of the future!
A breath of fresh air 👊🇮🇹👏
Bellucci , i like your style of play ! keep going shock eveyone !
is born a new star
Such a breath of fresh air. Bellucci combines baselines and dropshots, and powerful forehand too
He gives me Dogopolov vibes. Love it!
3:17 Amazing BACKHAND by Bellucci !
For a guy 1,78 /5'10 he is an amazing server.
Really hard to break with such unpredictable serve directions.
Happy to see such physical underdog thriving.
175cm
This was a good quality match in the first set. I think Bellucci is a very smart and slightly unorthodox player. He is very unpredictable and that makes him a dangerous opponent. It will be interesting how he plays against De Minaur and if he can make the final.
Another Italian star 🇮🇹
I think the past year gave Tsitsipas a much needed dose of humility. I hope he can keep pushing forward and find his way back to the player he once was.
Until that backhand stops being such a liability, he’s basically leveled off here.
He actually said he's a better player than he was, that his shots have better pace etc. He said that last month. You cannot get back to your best when you are so much delusional. He currently has the worst defensive backhand in the top 100, it's the primary reason for the majority of his losses, and there are no signs of improvement (he completely lost his backhand after the shoulder surgery in 2021). He just seems washed up.
His defensive game in general is weak. He likes to impose his game and boss players around with his forehand but has no real other options.
He should try hiring Ljubicic as a coach, maybe he can work some magic 😄
Bellucci is such an unorthodox player. Excessive body movements during ball hits and while running to balls, technically weird backhand and like medvedev, really hard to read and being able to change directions out of nowhere. Welcome to the top 50 soonish!
You basically described Dolgopolov in a few sentences. The ukranian was a blast to watch, could blast winners with his insane backhand and had just a weird but very flashy style of play.
never seen 5'9 player with such powerful strokes
Amazing talent..... Mattia Bellucci ....Bravo
WOW WONDERFUL !!!!!
Spettacolo ❤ 🔥 ❤ 🔥 ❤ 🔥
I Love Bellucci
Italians are having their golden era in Tennis now. At least on the ATP tour. WTA maybe a decade ago with Schiavone, Vinci, Penneta and Errani.
Sinner Berrettini Sonego Bellucci Cobolli Arnaldi Musetti
The Roman Empire of tennis 🇮🇹🙌🏻🤌
This is the Sinner's effect. Young italian players are thinking: "if he did it, we can do it too". Emulation.
This is the result of the amazing work of the Italian tennis federation in the last 15 years and now is finally bearing the deserved fruits. It’s not just because of a single player.
@@RavenARPG Yes, you're right, Berrettini and Sinner were just the first to emerge.
Bellucci numero 1👍
crazy il bellu nazionale, mi fa cagare come gioca ma vince ahah

He has worked his ass off on the Challenger tour in the past 3 years, it was about time to be paid off. Griekspoor did it in the same manner. Amazing work!!!
Amazing to see a leftie which is tall like be playing such a high level! What a hope for short people who wanna play tennis!!! And the fluo racket is so cool!
What a difference in atmosphere compared to Dallas..
Me gusto como le jugó a stefanos, sin miedo y de tu a tu como tiene que ser, si querés le victoria, tienes que tener carácter y ambición.
Young federer 2004. Identical... he's on 🔥🔥🔥
More like Young Zverev, with the double handed backhand, just a shorter version.
Nah, Dolgopolov
@@pauljohnson6019 Bellucci seems to have more skills in his hands/ beautiful dropshots and others/. And haircut really like young Federer.
@@pauljohnson6019Yeah if Zverev knew how to go forward.
@ He is better volleyer than Zverev, but groundstrokes on backhand are similar.
Didn't see the match but judging from these highlights, Bellucci's backhand is deadly.
Yeah it's very flat and goes through the court, contrary to his topspin forehand. Similar to Arnaldi they also play the same racket i believe.
Tremendous tennis!
Dolgopolov, you were missed. Good to have him back on tour.
Soooo true. I was thinking the same 😂😅
Omg, that's a great one! So true!!😂
"Alexander Dolgopolov" was the very first thing i thought watching Bellucci in Rotterdam
That form of Bellucci 👏👍
Bravissimo Mattia ! Orgoglio italiano ❤🇮🇹
A really good leftie , always has a slight advantage in tennis
Mattia reminds me of Dolgopolov! Both look and style of play
I expected this to be difficult for Stefanos because a lefty makes it much harder for him to employ his runaround forehand. But to my surprise Mattia didn't really pepper his backhand all that much, instead he mixed it up really well and kept Stefanos guessing. Always difficult to play someone for the first time, especially if it's such an unorthodox player. Once he missed those break chances and got broken himself, it was pretty much one way traffic.
Bellucci reminds me sooooo much of Dolgopolov. Unorthodox playing style, could just blast winners out of nowhere with an insane touch. Hopefully Bellucci stays Injury free for a long time, unlike the ukranian.
He is Italian Federer
Doesn‘t Mattia‘s backhand remind Connors‘ backhand?
It does! I don't remember Connors using the slice though
that’s what I was wondering… He reminds me Connor’s backhand a lot. 👏🏼
@@fulvioverdecchia6546 maybe Agassi too!!!
What a win !
Tsitsipas can't do anything outside of clay right now. If he doesn't defend his Monte Carlo points this year, he's gonna drop outside the top 30 probably.
Such a nice start of the season for Mattia, cmon keep playing with heart and cleverness.
Bravo Mattia sei fantasticoooooo!!!!!!! Andiamo!!!!!!❤🇮🇹
Belluci completely outclassed Tsitsipas in this match. Stefanos had no answers for him.
golden age for Italy...
GRANDE BELLUCCI 🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹
A star is born!
Belluci played really well. . Though Tsitsipas lost.... i am happy with his mental upgradation during this tournament..... i see a big thing happening to him soon... very positive indeed.
@@ArunKumar-gm8kp
BELLUCCI with 2 CC 😄
Yeah that's true. He even said so, that he wasn't fresh mentally and physically and had brain fog.
Son of Dolgopolov
ahahhaha
Who is Dolgopolov?
The previous Pope? LoL 😂
Dolgopolov and Monica 😂
I was thinking the same, specially for the backhand
Dolgopolov and Ons Jabeaur
Love his net game! really refreshing
Bellucci has a great game for indoor tennis. He’s taking the ball early, crowding the baseline on every shot and he’s closing points at the net.
Medvedev and Tsitsipas Are so far back and take so much time to get to the ball, its a tough matchup if Bellucci is “on” with his timing
Bellucci vs Minaur, 2 dynamite movers, should be fun !
Grande .
Grande.
Grande.
Ons is playing really well !!
Tsitsipas was top 5 for 5 years. 1 set away from a grand slam, another GS final and numerous other GS semi's. He has always had this backhand. The backhand is not the issue. There are other problems at play here- all mental. Total lack of belief right now , indecisive, disinterest. He needs a very experienced former player to re-motivate him. If not Federer, then hire Djokovic when he retires. Pay him $1M per year.
Bro is becoming special with that drop shot
Another talent 🇮🇹
In certi movimenti ricorda tantissimo Dolgopolov !
Habemus un mancinus
Bellucci reminds me vaguely of Guillermo Vilas ..😊
Grande Mattia!!!
Bellucci is on fire...good for him winning convincingly against Stef
Wow how did Monica Belucci beat Stefanos Tsitsipas?
JK - congrats Mattia - amazing play. Keep it up
We have almost 10 players in the 60 positions. Like usa and spain in the past. Now we are the school for the new years to come. ITALIANS DO IT BETTER 🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤
all getting the juice from the same italian mafia
To be honest, I was always surprised why Italy wouldn't do better, just a decade ago, every time I visit Italy - it's a nice country with nice warm climate, similar to Spain, so for tennis - conditions are perfect. So yes, Italy is now in charge as was Spain and Argentina just a decade ago.
Congratulations!!!
Cierto. Enhorabuena, aunque espero que pronto volvamos a dominar el tenis. Hasta entonces me alegro mucho por Italia.
Gna gna gna... need a tissue to dry your salty tears? 😊@@racephase
Yes, good for Italy. USA has dominated World Tennis for years and now Italy is doing a great job
Is he the new Sinner....?? I hope so.... 💪
Tsitsipas and his 1hand BH... It doesn't cut it anymore. You are putting yourself in disadvantage from the get-go
Complimenti mattia Bellucci. 😊
Bellucci is really coming around.
Beating back-to-back Medvedev Tsitsipas not too bad I would say !
This kid came out of nowhere!
you can see that tsitsipas played morethan 60 percent of the match with his forehand. He barely won winners with his single handed backhand. The single handed backhand is nothing but weakness.
His single handed backhand. One of the greatest tragedies in the history of the sport is that people now equate his backhand (one of the weirdest and most problematic one-handers ever) with the one-handed backhand in general. Which is extremely misleading (there are still players who show how great the shot can be), damages the reputation of the shot and discourages future generations from using it. Anyway, Stefanos' biggest problem is not that he cannot hit winners with it, but that he cannot defend with it. The return of serve, the defence in rallies, it's clearly the worst defensive backhand in the top 100. That's his number one problem that keeps losing him matches. Potential winners off that wing are not nearly as important.
Sinner is really the man to beat , reminds of Federer and Sampras in their absolute Prime , Another Level of Greatness
CONGRATULATIONS FOR LETTING US SEE MORE POINTS THAN THE PLAYER WHO MISSED, EXCELLENT JOB.
Grande Mattia orgoglio bustocco!💪
To note, tsistsipas played 3 hours the day before, i think it was the night session. While Bellucci, even though he also played a 3 hours match, had a day off. Tsitsipas probably didn't had enough rest from his match before. They could at least scheduled it the night session, to give Tsitsipas some few hours more rest.
Bad and unfair scheduling. Specially given the fact Tsitsipas played 3 hours (night session i think, or late afternoon). And his opponent had a day rest.
Mattia had to play 2 qualifying rounds though so the rest day was well deserved after the Medwedew match. But i agree they should have scheduled him later.
Tsitsipas from 5 years ago would have never stayed back at 0:30
Why is he not moving forward anymore?
Bandana, Navy Blue is the best.
Good job Bellucci! So happy that you SMASHED this Greek
The regression in Tsitsipas' game is astonishing; sad to see.
Connors gave his backhand to Bellucci?!!!
Bravo Mattia 💪🏻
Mattia has such an unusual DH backhand motion, very distinctive
EXCITING !!!!!
Wow.
Amazing ballucy, go on, tipas stucks
M Belucci not Monica, Proved it again vs Meddy+ Tsitsipas, he Showed us All he is Tough Customer🌬💪🏽
Mattia Belluci played extremely well against world no. 12 Stefanos Tsitsipas. He made no mistake and played aggressively against the hot favourite Tsitsipas. It's a well deserved win.
