i recommend turning the background color to transparent. its a lot easier than trying to color match the exact color of your garment especially if its a difficult or rare color.
This was precise. I just scrapped my entire store, even my page design. I had zero idea about graphic design and realized all of my designs were low res so I’m taking the liberty to teach myself before putting out product.
Thank you very much for this, I want to start POD Soon, but I have this question which color mode do you use for your design. If it is CMYK then it will change color if you are uploading it IG or web since they use sRGB color mode
Hey, i have a question. I make my designs in GIMP because Adobe is not available in my country. Should i also set the image size and resolution the same as you set it in Adobe for the same results, or do different setting apply for GIMP?
So... when we are handing off the designs, do we tell the client they need to send the outlined EPS or AI file to the printer? Also what about working in pantone colours, and do we need to separate things into layers with specific names? Do we also need to provide the specific Pantone codes or will they be fine with just the file that's sent? You mentioned that something was 11inches. Was 11inches the width of the shirt or the width that you wanted the design?
Hey I've tried these settings, but when I open after making new documents settings it/canvas becomes very tiny in size and when I zoom in it shows small boxes and when I drag image in it, image gets blurry and it like new documents inside it . can you please helo me
Yes. But lot of the final prints have both illustration as well as text. So how to manage dpi and resolution of these two different layers . And how to manage dpi & resolution of final when we export
When I tried to do inches instead of pixels, it makes up so much space in my computer that it says scratch disks are full.....is it vital for it to be in inches?
Do you recommend turning off text anti aliasing when designing text based tshirts with photoshop? What happens to the semitransparent pixels created in the process during printing?
would't RGB colors look different from CMYK? I always read that for printing you are supposed to use CMYK? Also is it okay to sue transparent instead of solid color background?
Is 8.5 x 11 inches a really good size for bigger and smaller prints? This is the size that I draw my artwork on, and it seems to be a great size, but I haven't uploading to any print on demand yet, so I was just wondering...SBN RESONATE
Ali Stoica I design shirts for my friend's business, using a DTG (direct to garment) printer, and I do this for exporting PNG files, for when I am doing a one-color design. I create the design for print in CMYK in illustrator, and then export it as RGB from photoshop, to preserve the transparency.
Since you're my teacher how could you advise me to be successful on merch by amazon what's the secret behind merch by Amazon 7 month on merch by Amazon and only sold 115 t shirts whilst others people sold thousands of tshirts so you recommend me any courses??
I don't know if you're still looking for this but Wholesale Ted's UA-cam channel have videos on how to make money with POD. Just substitute purchasing designs with your own work :)

Affinity tips too! Thank you!
I think you can apply these same concepts to Affinity. Document size in inches and 300 dpi.
Just started following your channel. I like the quick design tips. Thank you for sharing.
Are there other T-shirt designers that you follow on UA-cam?
Detour Shirts thank you. I don’t know of any other t-shirt designers unfortunately.
Thanks for the tips! Just curious why you don't use a transparent background?

Why do you use RGB, instead of CMYK for printing? Will not mess up the colors?

I like the new intro &tips are🔥 I usually do everything in 300 res. Oops.
Hi, how to convert a design for screen shooting
like multi-color screen printing? you might need to ask your printer how they want the document set up.
ISN'T CMYK REQUIRED FOR PRINT ?
This is my 3rd time watching this video.
What about procreate?
The fact that i watched this video on a Monday 4 years later

Me watching this 4 years later and smiling when you say "if yours is outdated." Haha, yours is outdated now. 🤪
You shouldn't use a background color, make the background transparent png
