    Great review, I just got my first bike and it was a 2001 Vulcan 800 classic.
    The decision was made with your review in mind along with a lot of other factors, don’t get me wrong.
    But I am very glad of the decision !!!

      +Alpha Angler The V800 is still my favorite bike out of all that I've owned or ridden. Perfect choice for a first bike and still absolutely fun for seasoned riders. Have fun with it Alpha Angler! And thanks for watching!

    Very nice review, different from so many, "hey what's up guys" videos.
    Very similar thoughts to me regarding the motorcycle, brakes, what brakes?
    However I'm old and grey and like to take my time.
    Lovely to work on, very simple and well made.
    I grew up with old Nortons, Triumphs and BSAs and this motorcycle gives me the same, "old school" feeling.

      I agree. I've had many opportunities to buy a fancy Harley but for the size, simplicity, weight, I'll stick with the 800.

    I have this exact bike and I am 5'10 ish! Little small for me but whatever its fun. Your review is spot on..........and an honest review I might add! I left the stock pipes on cause my wife didn't like the noise from aftermarket pipes. I think these bikes are a bargain and there are plenty of them. $1500-$4000 and you get a pretty nice bike. Mine has many aftermarket add on's. I like the bike and its fun to ride. My wife likes it to because its nimble and not frightening. Great review! Peace.

      Mizzuz Moto......my wife and I live in a place that has 5 huge lakes that all can be driven to in less than 2 hours.....and an amazing ride to each of them. We often ride to each of them and have a swim, we call it puddle jumping. I had sport bikes, enduro's, and several cruisers but at this point I really like the Vulcan its been good to me and one day I may go to the 1500 but for now it's just a lot of fun. Peace.

    I don't know if you still have her but the lowers will stop the buffeting with the windshield. I am 6 feet tall and I am fine on it. She is a good girl and has been a fine machine . Great review I know this is old but I felt like commenting because I am still riding mine.

      Hi Jeff, I replaced her with a 2005 with lower miles and yes, I still have it. It's in mint condition and my Sunday ride :-). Glad to know you still have yours - these are getting harder to find in good condition. Happy Holidays@

    How long do bikes last. Like I probably wont try to race with them but as a daily commuter how many miles or years do they last. I seen bikes for sale but miles are always low so I was wondering if perhaps the motors are not build to threat them the same as you would a commuter car. Please explain, thanks

    • @MizzuzMoto
      @MizzuzMoto  9 років тому +2

      +Jonathan Villalba Hi Jonathan, bike motors will last a very long time as long as the owner takes good care of them. With regular maintenance and proper storing in the winter, it's not unheard of for engines to get over 100,000 miles. But since most bikes are only used on the weekends and primarily in the warmer months, you don't see many high mileage bikes. Bikes will last decades and will run just fine as long as they are taken care of...just like anything else really. Hope that helps.

    I had 01 800 Vulcan for 5 years, now 6 years later I tried to buy it back. He wont budge. Anyway, 6' tall 250 lbs and I used handle bar 3 inch rise and forward controls. Enjoyed the bike. Might go look at a 2004 800 listed locally. Looks like belt drive verses chain. I believe you said chain drive in your review?!? Now its 6 years later whats the update?

    • @MizzuzMoto
      @MizzuzMoto  4 роки тому +1

      I actually sold the one in the video, missed it so much that I bought another stock one and rebuilt it back to look like this one :-). When I sold the one in the video, she had over 50,000 miles on her. This new one has 6,000 miles and is only ridden on sunny days. My other bike is a BMW GS which is my all-rounder :-).

      @@MizzuzMoto In the works to pick up a 2004 800 classic, blue like my other one, cobra pipes, mustang seat, windshield, bags, crash bar plus the original pipes and seat. Right at KBB value. I'll just have to swap crash bar and get the forward controls and some handle bar risers (Im 6' tall), KN air filter then Grampsize the bike as I did before..... Crossing fingers I can work this out in the next few days....

So I went a few miles further and put my money on a 99 Vulcan Nomad 1500, with corbin seat, and under 27K miles on it....I'll get the rest of the $ together Wed and go pick it up. And he is throwing in a bike lift as well.....I'll be the 3rd owner...........
