Thanks Jeff for honoring Phil with that tribute! Everyone has been so thoughtful! Your prime rib looked awesome! One of my favorites! We appreciate you taking the time to remember Phil. He would be so humbled by all the great comments and attention. Take care.❤
Hi Janet, I am so sorry for your and your children's loss. Although Phil and I hadn't met in person, I felt so connected to him. He and I chatted about me and Tami coming to meet you guys this summer before this whole COVID-19 thing started. I genuinely enjoyed the banter between Phil and myself. I pray for comfort to you and your children.
Definitely was sad. You just never know. I'm going to do the May 9 video that everybody is doing in his honor. Go watch Phil's huli hulu chicken video and you will have no doubt what I'm doing on May 9. It is how he and I got started as UA-cam friends.
He seemed really nice, I know you were looking forward to meeting him in person this summer, as was I. Thank you for the sweet remembrance, and the delicious dinner.
Very nice, and heart felt intro. I really enjoyed watching Phil and communicating with him, he will be missed and our community now has a void. Jeff the Prime rib looked stellar as always.
I'm still in shock over Phil. Very nice intro Jeff. I lost a good friend in Phil, as you did. He was like family....he related to us...and visa versa. Delicious video bud. Y'all take care!
Hats off to you Jeff in recognizing Phil. He was a geniune guy and great sharer of advice. Affectionately I called him Professor - always instructional. That's a great cook and thae color just popped! I'm sure the flavor also matched it! Great Au jus too!!
I do not know Phil or his channel but I appreciate his friends paying some Homage as they saw fit. Thanks for this as a long time subscriber. God Bless Phil!
Right On... Another great vid....RIP PHIL ….love his Vid on growing collard greens...This year we are going to grow some collards and dedicate it to him....UA-cam has of way of saying your gone but never forgotten….God is great God is good... and one day we will all be in heaven and I have a source that the BBQ is cooked perfect and we all will enjoy....Love everyone everyday all the time...
@@Armadillopepper well, everyone managed to choke it down, so we can say it was a success. Served with smoked potatoes and grilled brussel sprouts with red onion. Andy did up your aus jus recipe, quite nice.
Hey Jeff, so sorry to hear about Phil I was really just getting to know him better. He was a really good fella.....Awesome cook on that prime rib buddy. You take care and stay well my friend
Sorry to hear about Phil. He seemed to be a pretty good guy. He would be humbled by your honoring him, I'm sure. Nice video, Jeff, and, I wish I had a slab of that prime rib in front of me. Take care, and have a great week.
@@Armadillopepper I went two days ago. Fishing was a little tough, but I wound up with 23 gills and crappies; mostly on a fly rod and all on my flies. The water seemed colder than it was a couple weeks before, but that is not surprising since we had a week of 30 to 40-ish high temps and one day with 8"+ snow in between. I'm glad your son has been out getting after the fish; you should loan him one of those spinnerbaits to try. Or; better yet, go with him. A day on the water is generally a day well spent.
I usually have my groceries delivered, but got lucky. We had to go to the pharmacy inside the grocery and there it was, Prime Rib, on sale for $5.99/lb.
Hi brother. .. sorry to hear about phil... im new creator and talking to other youtubers has made my life better in so many ways .... Thank you sir ! (For the black garlic video especially^_^ )
Sorry to hear about your friend Jeff............ hey, he's probably looking down drooling just like I am watching those prime meat juices run all over the top of that cutting board. You guys stay safe. = )
Looks YUM! I'am crazy about Roast beef sandwiches. or on the grill, even bakes with potatos ect. YUM any thing but a dam brisket I'AM DONE WITH BRISKETS! > IT'S ROAST BEEF FOR ME! Good question. I've not tried brining, but I have seasoned with salt and pepper the day before. Rib roast sat in the frig overnight and it turned out great.
I guess that's what I'm going to attempt to do. Salt today, fridge 24 hrs, then bovine bold tomorrow morning and a smoke on the pit boss!!! I'll let ya know what the fam damly thinks 🤔
Heaven has a New Pitmaster. RIP Phil.
Yes indeed.
