I used to buy terro which would never fully get rid of problem, Taurus SC around outside perimeter of home, doors, windows, garage if they crawl anywhere around my home its over! Just less bugs around home in general, and nothing comes inside. Great product been using same bottle two years.

Hey Ryan, pest control guys want $1000 - $2000 for an exterior termite control job called a trench-and-drench! 4 gallons of fipronil mixture every10 feet in a 6" W x 6" D trench the entire house perimeter. They drill 1/2" holes every 12" on all concrete slabs that touch your house like the garage interior and flood each hole. Termites are serious! So for $1700 you get a real job and not just a homeowner attempt. You will need a serious drill to drill concrete holes. You can rent one at Home Depot. BTW, don't trust me. You don't know me. Look it up on the web and on youtube. I did and I did it myself. Its not a quick 2-4 hour job what with all the digging and drilling and mixing. But you can save yourself some serious money and still do it right. The Princess Cut guy is great for a quickie ant solution. I loved his video. But the termite guys do not do his quickie spray technique. NOT AT ALL!

So this stuff sounds legit! Is it safe after drying for dogs to be in yard etc.? You think it’s ok to put in sprayer and just shake it up if a guy doesn’t have the mixer blade?
This stuff is the real deal jack, but it’s not for broadcasting in your yard.. only perimeter spraying. As long as it’s fully dry you will have no issues w your dogs. Mix it up very well in a water bottle half way filled w water before you add it to your sprayer and you’ll be good... no need for a mixer
Most useful tool in my gararge is that 105EX sprayer. Thanks for yet another useful tip I can get from my favorite sprayer!

I haven’t had a problem with ants yet that I’m aware of, but I’ll definitely keep this product in mind. Love those squeeze bottles, especially for products like this you don’t want spilled.

I normally use like organic alternatives to try to keep bugs away as I don’t like to use harsh chemicals but, I purchased this bottle like 1-2 years ago just in case, and I had to use this week to get rid of carpenter ants. Only use it when needed. Thanks for the video!

I deal with carpenter ants multiple times in SoCal. I’ve often sprayed the same spots and still ants so I’m not sure how spraying this stuff twice a year only will do the trick. More so after it dries or it rains and washes away. Also I’ve found this is much more effective at killing ant populations with a light spray along the ant trail sometimes in 5-10 minute intervals for maximum ant death.
I used this product in April before I saw this video. I have not seen an ant inside since!

I see you mixed the pesticide with the 1gal of water. If you don’t have a mixing tool can you put pesticide in before the water? Will it mix that way?
You can mix by hand, just be sure to shake well

My carpenter ants seem to be 100% indoors, and they tend to avoid ant baits. Short of tearing out walls to find the nest(s), do you have any suggestions? Thanks

Exterminator here, yes, once it dries it's safe.
Will termidor SC help with mosquitoes as well? Also I thought this stuff was highly poisonous.. how long after treatment can pets and kids play outside?
Exterminator here, no, it won't unfortunately. You need another product for them.

I have a backpack sprayer that I use for lawn application should I use a separate sprayer for pest control? Or can I wash it out?

What if I’m in a mobile home that had dirt under neath will this still help if put around the home? I believe they are coming in from under the home
Thats not a problem, all is takes are a few ants to make contact and it will kill the rest of the colony. This stuff will completely cure your ant problem in days, like completely get rid of them all. Try it out and comment back on this post, you'll be very happy.

I'm a dummy I wasnt squeezing I tilted to try and get the right amount to the top. For years I been doing it this way. Learn something new. I trenched for termites this took care or my carpenter, fire, and crazy ants around the house as well 2xs a year all it takes. Some mornings I find tiny ant swarmers dead near light sources but they never get a hold.
Hi. I applied the Taurus this morning. I noticed in the afternoon the ants were moving and more aggressive - is this normal?
The ants can not smell it but perhaps it started killing them already. But this stuff is so good, by the time your reading this im sure your problem will be fixed:)
Hi Stephanie, yes that is absolutely normal. Products like Termidor SC or Taurus SC are designed to work slowly so the ants have time to bring it back to the nest where the transfer effect kicks in. What is very important that everyone should know is that you should NEVER mix anything with these products as they are non-repellent. Mixing anything with it will completely screw things up. If you are using it in a hand can or back pack sprayer that has been used before with other products make sure to rinse it out at least three times and pump the water through the hose as much as possible.
Also, patience is also vital. When you see them still moving around like nothing has been sprayed on them, the natural temptation for a lot of people is to get out a quick kill like Raid. DO NOT do that!!! Just spray the trail or target areas and forget about the ants until the next day. They will be completely gone and the ones you don't see in the nest will also be 100% eliminated as well. Other repellent insecticides will quickly kill surface ants but the ones in the nests will sense those chemicals and relocate the nest.
If you will read the label, Termidor SC requires 15 mil gloves. Anything less, and you risk exposure. Also, long sleeve shirt and pants with socks and shoes are required. A respirator is only needed in a non-ventilated area. Eye and face protection is required if wind is blowing which a face shield is sufficient. I'm in the pest business, so I should know.
Do you know the difference in how effective termidor is compared to Taurus? I can't seem to find anyone that used both. Everyone o know just goes straight to termidor because they know it works already

Can i spray this inside my home. Ants everywhere. At first they were in the kitchen i tried Terro and they came out like crazy for it. Then all gone for two days and after that they are coming out scouting everywhere in the house.
No you cannot but no worries, spray the foundation of your house and it will get carried into the house and they will be gone fast!

It’s labeled for golf course use so do with that as you will.

What we do is apply taurus sc around the perimeter of the house and bifen xts to the lawn. flawless results. no ants at all.

I'm thinking I'll hit 'em with 0.8 oz in a gallon/1,000 sq ft. I rarely use pesticides... kinna hate to honestly. But the ants are pushing their luck this year!

What if I added too much of the solution (on accident)

@@PrincessCutLawnCare maybe .4 ounces. I was pouring the .8 and then it accidentally tipped a little and more poured in. I added more water to create two gallons of solution (but I might have needed to make it 3 gallons) and it completely took care of my ant problem within 12 hours but I was wondering if it was safe for my kids to run around it that next day.

I used Termidor SC I think that’s what it’s called and I used in very small bottle with 2 oz I think but just regular spray bottle, we had great huge red ants in the kitchen HORRIBLE, one night we had steak the next we almost had ants
This stuff is devestating to ants. I don't see ants for a couple years if I spray around my house.

The instructions indicated that we spray away from the foundation for ants. Just saying.
Proper PPE for a Taurus SC application includes long sleeved shirt. Possible fine if authorities see this video before you take it down.

@@PrincessCutLawnCare The PPE is for pest control technicians only. Although it's always a good idea to wear long sleeves, pants, shoes, socks and rubber gloves, a home owner can spray it or any pesticide in shorts and flip flops and there's nothing the local AG Department can do about it.
@Rob Smith The label for home owners would only come into question if the used the pesticide was used in an illegal manner like using it for something other than it’s intended use. It has absolutely NOTHING to do with the PPE. That is for employees of pest control companies only. The PPE recommendations for home owners is just that, recommendations. If the county ag department stops at a homeowners residence even if it’s to inspect a pest control employee the homeowner has the right to not allow them on their property. I know that for a fact because even in heavy-handed California I had a customer tell the county ag representative to leave his property when he was standing out front to inspect me and he did. Very quickly.

Wearing all that PPE like you actually care about your health. Meanwhile your eating habits prove otherwise. You didn't even read the directions. Exterior/foundation spraying should be one foot up, and one foot out.
