I had the Koh Gen Do foundation for almost a year before reviewing it, it has to be my favorite foundation ever, and I’ve tried over 50 foundations. So yea…favorite foundation, you’re going to love it.

I’m so happy that you are talking about addiction!! They are such an underrated brand in the western beauty community. I LOVE their liquid lipsticks. Super lightweight but not liquidy upon application…super long wearing but doesn’t feel heavy and does not dry my lips out throughout the day. And the applicator is so precise! I’m also such a huge fan of the KGD foundation and their powder even though I have combo oily skin. I did find their shade range very confusing to navigate online and far from inclusive. I struggle to find a medium neutral olive shade in their range (143 is way too dark)..so I always go for 123. Would LOVE to see a review on KGD first😊

ADDICTION is a little bit cheaper side of all brands carried in a department store, so it is so popular among Japanese beauty lovers. Mariage, one of the shades you bought, is an OG sparkly shadow in Japan(which oddly I haven't tried lol)! And you can't go wrong with CANMAKE, which is the king of drugstore brands and loved by everyone🙌 I hope many people come to Japan, now that Japan Yen is so weak!! Maybe that is why you felt about the prices of SUQQU. For me, I hesitate to buy US/UK products right now😂😂

I'm still waiting on my Koh Gen Do foundation that I ordered from LovelySkin, so I'm hoping I got a good shade match. I picked 143, which might be deeper than the one you got(?). I've been so tempted to order Suquu by Alicia's videos, but always stop myself, so that's the brand I'm most interested in your thoughts. I don't wanna have to email someone (some YTers provide the contact info of their SA's) to order stuff and I certainly don't wanna pay a lot of shipping charges! I'd love to know how it compares to PMG, which is my top-quality standard. Oh, I was just reminded of my experience in a department store when they were showing the Nespresso system. It was very much a sales demo/sit down and get the full spiel kind of thing. I would have loved to experience that with makeup! But I wasn't into it then. :) Sounds fun. 💞
The trip was fun! I always love visiting Japan. The service and attention to detail is so impeccable! Would love to hear how you like the foundation! I’ve been enjoying it so far, though I do with I picked it up in one shade deeper. For Suqqu, I think it you place a big order, it’s actually worth the shipping (buying in person, I ended up spending way more than the shipping cost on the price difference surprisingly). But if you just want one item, it’s not worth it. Since filming this video, I’ve tried the Suqqu products, and they are very nice, but quite different from PMG. Addiction is actually much more similar to PMG in terms of having pigmented, sparkly shadows. Suqqu is more subtle, muted, and ethereal, so it’s been quite a change for me. I’m still developing my opinion about their eyeshadows, but it definitely adds a different kind of formula to my collection.
