Résumé de la première journée du Défi Wind 2019 à Gruissan où 1200 compétiteurs ont affronté la tramontane. Il s'agit du record du monde de participants sur une compétition de Windsurf.

It looked amazing and I would love to participate. One thing to mention is the course makes sailers cross each others paths which is pretty knarly...also the starter speed boat, almost took out a couple sailers. Other than that, it looked awesome.
Impressionnant. Les planches à voiles m'ont toujours attirés. Il faudrait faire une vidéo pour montrer comment cela fonctionne, en particulier au niveau de la voile (comment faire pour naviguer, tourner etc ...) Sinon, c'est parfait. Merci

Where is that. The government must integrate support. It's hard to find windsurfer groups or any big open water sports in Australia due to risk and the shark epidemic. Nice to see some big sponsor names too. Everyone pumped and smiling. "not aloud here. we're sorry".
That boat at the start is recklessly close to sailors and at 02:05 the helicopter flies low and flattens a few sails, very stupid. The sailing looks great though.
It's a "rabbit start" - The speedboat is basically the starting line. The windsurfers are allowed to start as the speedboat passes, which is why they get as close to the speedboat as possible, not the opposite way.
@@zEnIS1337 Thanks for clearing that up. It seems though some racers are destined to start late as others are able to start sooner as the boat passes by them first? Doesn't seem like a fair start.
Not sure if you are a free sole....get yourself over to Europe for the summer, there's always work and great beaches from where this video was shot in South of France to Croatia and beyond to the Greek islands. Great women, great food and an experience you will always cherish.

Maybe the boat is marking out the start line, might not be though.

That guy in the speedboat is playing fast and loose with the racers safety. Why does he charge by in front of the racers so closely?

This was filmed in Gruissan. It's a beautifull place in the south of France (near Narbonne)
there's wind here in edmonton alberta ::: ::: ::: but it's from the garbage dump and the sewage recycler
