It was a metaphor for those who judge biracial or same sex parents. Sesame Street did this to. Sure she's petty and cruel, but affective as a threat. Also the fact Sherman bit Penny. Not defending her but she was in the right to investigate that. She should have let her dog prejudice go.
Tbh with Shrek the Third it just seems like the writers thought "what if the king died and Shrek didn't want to take the throne?" And they needed a villain so they brought Charming back
Well in the Second Movie Charming wanted Become King cuz Mostly Fairy Godmother wanted Him to be Anyways He was supposed to Married Fiona but didn't cuz We literally don't know what on Earth,He been Doing While Shrek went to Save her.
With the bit about Makunga being similar to Scar makes me think back to that Brian Hull video of the Ethical Bug interviewing some of the DreamWorks villains. “Quick question. (Holds up a poster of The Lion King) Have you ever heard of copyright infringements?” (Holds up an image of Jiminy Cricket from Disney’s Pinocchio) “Have you?” “Fair point.”
Vincent The Bear is my favorite DreamWorks villain, and I'm glad to see he wasn't included on this list. He may have been the main antagonist of the film Over The Hedge, but he isn't as evil as many think that he is, and nobody really seems to get if RJ hadn't of tried to steal all of the bear's food. Then he wouldn't have tried to kill him in the first place. Though he was happy RJ was willing to backstab the other animals, and when they did absolutely nothing to him he tried to kill them too. There's plenty of villains who've done worse than him like Lord Shen from Kung Fu Panda 2, and Bowser from Illumination's The Super Mario Bros Movie.🖤🤎🐻
Imagine you are living alone in the country with no law and no government above you. You have stockpiled a bunch of food for winter that you need to have to survive. Then some holligan shows up and tries to steal all of it. You'd be pissed too and probably want to make sure it never happens again. If you ask me Vincent was being very forgiving with RJ. The team had to purposely include some lines of villainous dialogue to help convince us he is a bad guy.
Vincent is very evil as he did attempt mass murder on RJ’s friends, who had nothing to do with him and Vincent merely did so because they were affiliated with RJ. But yeah, I can at least understand where he’s coming from in the beginning.
Also, the fact that when he revealed he was the bad guy, he just acted like a jerk to everyone after that, when nobody else knew of his evil intentions, yeah, I’m not gonna watch this movie anytime soon, I would rather watch Shark Tale, I am not joking
Yeah Prince Charming is one of the worst villains I’ve ever seen. He’s not intimidating, he’s not interesting, he’s not pure evil, and he’s not an active threat. Instead, he’s Whinny, he’s annoying, he’s a complete joke, and he’s motive and plan are both stupid. He’s much better as a side antagonist like in Shrek 2. He should’ve been a side villain in Shrek the Third, not the main villain. And this is why you never have a side antagonist become a main one.
Bee Movie is essentially a meme pretending to be a film, so I can’t really say that I think Layton is too terrible of a villain. Plus, his line delivery is hilarious.
Considering I'm 98% sure I did watch Turbo as a kid, but I don't even remember the villan being a character in the movie to begin with until he was brought up in this video, I think that should tell you something.
I actually love both Prince Charming and Big Bad Wolf/Death from *Shrek the Third and Puss in Boots: The Last Wish.* Those two are the Perfect Worthy Adversaries to both Shrek and Puss in Boots.
When you consider the original motivation behind Shrek, it's honestly no surprise why they made Charming bland. It's kind of highlighting how some of Disney's original Prince Charming characters, i.e. Snow White and Cinderella, were very one-note, virtually characterless, and with those two the movie doesn't even name them (not counting if they only show up in credits or wiki fandoms).
I think the Reason why DreamWorks pick Charming as an Villain in the Third because in the Second Movie,Fairy Godmother wanted Him to be King and He was supposed to Married Fiona but didn't cuz We literally don't know what he been doing while Shrek went to save her
Makunga wasn’t the main focus of the movie, it was supposed to be about Alex not knowing where he belongs and where is his home. Gallaxhar is hilarious and you can’t convince me otherwise. I honestly forgot who Layton was tho.
The only thing that makes Layton T. Montgomery even mildly interesting is the fact that he was kind of right in the end; he warns Barry that his actions would disrupt the balance of nature, which is what happens.

I’ve never seen Antz and I think I like him. Even though he’s a bit bland character, to his defence, he was the very first main antagonist DreamWorks made.

Kai was really boring. We went from the sheer insanity and malice that was Shen to basically just a power hungry brute that knew Oogway but otherwise has no emotional connection to any of the characters. Kung Fu Panda 3 was the worst of the trilogy in general and Kai didn’t do that movie Amy favors.
Here’s another difference between Makunga and Scar that makes Scar the superior villain: Scar wasn’t afraid to get his paws dirty, since he actively killed Mufasa, and during his final duel with Simba, for most of it, the two were pretty evenly matched. Makunga, by contrast, just had everything fall into place and was a horrible fighter. Even Zuba made it pretty obvious that he’s beaten Makunga in fights before, and did so again from what we saw.
Or Lego Ninjago Villains evil to most evil Least Evil: Captain Soto, I mean he isn't that evil besides property destruction and he did good thing s too like trapping Nadakhan or helping Jay. Middle Evil: Morro I mean he did try to curse the whole world but at least he redeemed himself and has motivation Most Evil Overlord, need I say more?
I never found Charming intimidating, funny or smart. He can't dance or sing well, he's not that evil compare to his mother. He never tried to kill Donkey's kids or the dragon; his final plan was ridiculous. A stage play, really? That's not cruel, it's entertaining! If Charming tortured Shrek in front of Fiona; that would be impactful. What he did was a bit lame plus the prince was defeated by a kid who had a speech about dreams. That's so embarassing! His mother won't be proud of him if she was still alive 😂
I think Mrs. Grunion should be a little lower, only because she does pose a great threat. She has the power to take adopted kids away from their adopted parent(s). That’s scary, and her goal maybe bc she doesn’t like the idea of a dog raising a child. And I think Lola should have been in 2nd place for bland characters, only bc without her the movie would go on the exact same way without her.
I ENJOY DreamWorks villains a whole lot, but of course, not everything is perfect. Every thing has their highs and lows and I agree with most of what you said. Edit: ALSO, what you said about Guy Gagne was well said. The first time I rewatched Turbo, and my opinions of the film changing, I found Guy to be a weak antagonist. Like, seriously, DW is better off making ACTUAL villains instead of twist ones bcs they're certainly not Disney.
Well… at least with Gallaxar, his memorable design likely served as a basis for a great Dreamworks character… he really looks like the same species as Megamind.
I'm surprised that Chelsea Van Der Zee isn't on the list, and this is coming from somebody who liked Ruby Gillman: Teenage Kraken, which is one of the most surprising plot twist.
Why her, actually? She’s a pretty good antagonist. (Ok, not as good as someone like Kai, but at least, she’s interesting. I know her plan is weird, but you have to remember the music is *very* important to the Trolls franchise.)
I'm glad Pitch Black isn't on this list I know some people hated him cuz he looks bland and has horrible design but he was very manipulative even he tries to convinces Jack Frost to join him and simple motives, Jude Law really nailed it voicing him such an intimidating boogeyman And also Eris too she's much like Pitch Black but more seductive and extremely destructive, I know her character kinda looks bland but she's a perfect villain from a flawed 2D movie

Okay Wickedbinge, I watched Monsters vs Aliens again, and I see why you find Gallaxhar pathetic as a villain. His voice is flat, he burns his ear with tea (by accident, which is just funny), his clones are idiots, and he cowers when his ship is about to be blown up. You are right Wickedbinge, Gallaxhar is a giant example of "Wasted Potential", as I don't find him too scary. It seems like Gallaxhar only managed to have been able to destroy virtually everyone on his home planet because his species didn't see him as much of a threat, which made them think that nothing bad was going to happen
My bottom 5 is(Unranked): Lola Prince Charming Hendrix(the alleged villain) Francis E. Francis Queen Barb If i could defend someone on your list it would be Gallaxhar becuase Monsters vs Aliens is supposed to be somewhat of a parody of monster and alien movies.Hes supposed to be a parody of Alien invader stereotypes and the way it was done was quite funny like how they subverted the typical villain monolog and the i come in peace subverion with him which was hilarious and original and how hes laughably morbid and evil in a good way.And while he might not be all that serious he is a true threat and danger and taken seriously by everyone as he has a giant spaceship hundreds of giant robots and countless clones(Which he more likely created for himself rather than his species). Not a great villain but he does fit the type of villain for this film he is a decent-good villain in a pretty good movie.Hes not among the best but not among the worst hes just pretty ok!(Also megaminds desings took cues from him so there!)
To be fair to Leyton a bee suing humanity over honey is the most ridiculous thing so it's less he's a corrupt CEO villain and more wondering why tf he's arguing with a literal insect over something that ended up being moot anyway

Some of these DreamWorks Villains are very iconic and unforgettable like Lord Farquaad, Chef, Professor Poopypants, Chelsea, Lord Shen, and even Death the Wolf plus there are so much more fun villains in DreamWorks Movies. But who is the most annoying and unlikeable DreamWorks Villains that no one wants? The only one on this list I'm okay with is Lola, I think she's pretty attractive and cool.

Say what you will about the third, but it did show that Charming is more than a pretty face... To a degree. Death was not even a villain, he was just doing his job.
Prince Charming isn’t terrible he’s just grievously over shadowed in his franchise he could of been a redemption villain where upon taking over far far away he realises how wrong it is to do this and begins to spiral into anger at himself for not doing what his mother wants; but he could of very well of become a ruthless villain when realising that villains in fairy tales share a common goal for revenge he could of just decided on that no play just straight revenge becoming more unstable with each atrocious act he would commit all while still being charming and charismatic to his underlings

Least Evil: Captain Soto, I mean he isn't that evil besides property destruction and he did good thing s too like trapping Nadakhan or helping Jay.
Middle Evil: Morro I mean he did try to curse the whole world but at least he redeemed himself and has motivation
Most Evil Overlord, need I say more?
@@darthmaul4773 That could work.

Make the DreamWorks movies worst to best films
I ENJOY DreamWorks villains a whole lot, but of course, not everything is perfect. Every thing has their highs and lows and I agree with most of what you said.
Edit: ALSO, what you said about Guy Gagne was well said. The first time I rewatched Turbo, and my opinions of the film changing, I found Guy to be a weak antagonist. Like, seriously, DW is better off making ACTUAL villains instead of twist ones bcs they're certainly not Disney.
So mandable is an ant version of senator Armstrong
Sentencing main and / or side Loud House Characters for their crimes.
Lola is a lion fish?! Well what do you, I just learned something new today
Nope she's too predictable and the trailer already spoiled it
Antz was dreamworks 1st movie, not second.
Ik, but Mandable is the second antagonist of DreamWorks, the first one being Colonel Cutter. (Sorry if I spelled it wrong.)
I actually like Lola from Shark Tale she complimented what Oscar wanted for himself at the beginning of the movie
Same here 👍
Can you do Legendary Godzilla Vs Mei and her Mom and grandma and Aunties in their panda form
No wonder why Brad Gilliam never mentioned him in dreamworks villains evil to most evil
Mr Montgomery is a hilarious villain and he’s voiced by John Goodman too come on
You forgot Queen barb
Why Queen Barb?
Why her, actually? She’s a pretty good antagonist. (Ok, not as good as someone like Kai, but at least, she’s interesting. I know her plan is weird, but you have to remember the music is *very* important to the Trolls franchise.)
@@Superemie401 Yeah, I even have a toy of her.
I'm glad Pitch Black isn't on this list I know some people hated him cuz he looks bland and has horrible design but he was very manipulative even he tries to convinces Jack Frost to join him and simple motives, Jude Law really nailed it voicing him such an intimidating boogeyman
And also Eris too she's much like Pitch Black but more seductive and extremely destructive, I know her character kinda looks bland but she's a perfect villain from a flawed 2D movie
But at the same time for Lola Oscar's a horrible protagonist.
But at the same time, Shark Tale is one of the worst, if not the worst, DreamWorks movie. So…

I’ve commented about you doing the worst dream works characters, but this works too
The newest character never usually says "you suck"
My bottom 5 is(Unranked):
Lola
Prince Charming
Hendrix(the alleged villain)
Francis E. Francis
Queen Barb
If i could defend someone on your list it would be Gallaxhar becuase Monsters vs Aliens is supposed to be somewhat of a parody of monster and alien movies.Hes supposed to be a parody of Alien invader stereotypes and the way it was done was quite funny like how they subverted the typical villain monolog and the i come in peace subverion with him which was hilarious and original and how hes laughably morbid and evil in a good way.And while he might not be all that serious he is a true threat and danger and taken seriously by everyone as he has a giant spaceship hundreds of giant robots and countless clones(Which he more likely created for himself rather than his species). Not a great villain but he does fit the type of villain for this film he is a decent-good villain in a pretty good movie.Hes not among the best but not among the worst hes just pretty ok!(Also megaminds desings took cues from him so there!)
Do Paramount Plus Animated Villians:Least Evil To Most Evil
As shao kahn would say, "You suck!"
There was one good thing with miss Grunion, her wedding with Agamemnon who kidnappes her at the end was funny.
To be fair to Leyton a bee suing humanity over honey is the most ridiculous thing so it's less he's a corrupt CEO villain and more wondering why tf he's arguing with a literal insect over something that ended up being moot anyway

Makunga Is just a Walmart version of scar
Yes.
I actually really like both the galaxar and Layton Montgomery those two villains are some of my favourite DreamWorks villains actually they’re both funny and yes one of them may not be very evil but they have to be some of the most funny villains I have ever seen in animation in my opinion 😂😂😂😂
Monsters vs Aliens is something else
Some of these DreamWorks Villains are very iconic and unforgettable like Lord Farquaad, Chef, Professor Poopypants, Chelsea, Lord Shen, and even Death the Wolf plus there are so much more fun villains in DreamWorks Movies. But who is the most annoying and unlikeable DreamWorks Villains that no one wants? The only one on this list I'm okay with is Lola, I think she's pretty attractive and cool.
I like the 🤓 kid from captain underpants because I can make fun of him. Isn't his name Melmon or something?
@@darkXwolf_15 Melvin Sneedly and I never liked him.😅😑

6:38, Wait, if she's a lionfish, why she look like that instead of an actual lionfish?
Can you do sonic prime season 2 weak to powerful
Shark Tale is the WORST Dreamworks film ever made and Lola is one of the WORST Dreamworks villains.
I actually like Makunga, Gallaxhar, and General Mandible.
Like the video next time do the best Best DreamWorks villains And Do DreamWorks villains Sidekick Evil to Most Evil 😈
Please do Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Mutant Mayhem good to evil & weak to powerful
General Mandible is easily one of Dreamworks's most underrated villains.
He's good become a starter dreamworks villain but he's also one of most evil villains
I love Gallaxhar and his personality, same for the monsters. They all have distinct and colorful personalities. The only bland character I remember from the film is Insectosaurus. I do agree Gallaxhar could've had more depth to his character, though.
Future DreamWorks villians can learn from the past films; especially from Puss in Boots 2, how that film did their villians
Worst pixar villains: cid, darla, johnny worthington, mor'du,
Hi WickedBinge I love this and I hope you have a good day
Say what you will about the third, but it did show that Charming is more than a pretty face... To a degree.
Death was not even a villain, he was just doing his job.
Lola=Little Mermaid victim💀
And they say “Dreamworks has the best villains” we’ll think again!
The DreamWorks villains are very incredible.
Please do the Disney villains next
Day 90 of asking for Miraculous ladybug relationships healthy to toxic.
Wait a minute, where’s Chelsea?
Prince Charming isn’t terrible he’s just grievously over shadowed in his franchise he could of been a redemption villain where upon taking over far far away he realises how wrong it is to do this and begins to spiral into anger at himself for not doing what his mother wants; but he could of very well of become a ruthless villain when realising that villains in fairy tales share a common goal for revenge he could of just decided on that no play just straight revenge becoming more unstable with each atrocious act he would commit all while still being charming and charismatic to his underlings
