I'm a Flames fan but SO hyped for these playoffs for the Oilers. I really want them to win the cup but I think they are going to struggle against the Panthers, between Bobrovsky being dialed in most of the time and how aggressive they are, I can see them holding the oilers zone more often. But then again the Oilers have a really crazy defence, PK and game sense as a team so I think it's going to be very exciting every game.
We started in the bottom and moved up to 10th spot beat the Dallas Stars who were second place who took out two defending cup champions in a row never been done. And if you think that McDavid and Leon are going to lay down after finally making it here you Americans are totally wrong. It’ll go six and oil will win.
I'm glad both teams are coming to the final with equal rest. Florida had a ridiculously long time off before the finals in 2023 while Vegas came in on short rest and still cooking. Florida never looked the same to me. I expect them to be more focused and Cup-ready come Saturday night.
Edmonton destroyed San Jose 5-0 in San Jose. You only mention the beginning of the season. Which obviously proves the beginning of the season has no merit in this regard. Plus Florida is the dirtiest team making Boston the 2nd
Because that's the context of what is being talked about. The lowest of lows at the beginning of the season. The destroying of San Jose is irrelevant. It's what should've happened from the beginning but didn't and was just another thing going wrong to start the season. To lose to a team that lost 11 straight to open the season, to lose 9 out of your first 11.. the point is to show how far they've come in the season. From a very, very low. To the highest the Oilers have been since 2006. And potentially the 80s if this series finishes how they'd like it to.

In no world do I see Edmonton beating Florida in this Stanley Cup. McDavid isn't going to be able to feast like he did with every other team on their run. Florida is way too stacked from head to toe. He is going to need the other players to seriously step up if they want to win this.
