For having been made in 1896 and used in God knows how many wars, that rifle looks to be in really good shape. Totally agree about the brass clips; I have a couple that were very hard to find but work well in my Carcanos. The dark metal (steel?) repros are close to useless.
Surprised to see it took this long to get a real 1891 on the channel but just glad we eventually got a video , did you guys plan on doing videos for the lebel and 1907/15 berthier eventually ?
Had a few models of Carcanos over the years but once the old milsurp correct size ammo was gone I looked into getting correct projectiles but could never find them :-( I did however cast my own but that got old after a while thus didn't jump on any Carcanos .... If I can't shoot them I don't want them.... be well.
I have an M41 and its a great shooter. The long rifles are the best of the Caranos in my opinion.

PPU makes the correct diameter projectiles but doesn’t put them into the live ammo for some reason. We get all our components from graf & sons website
@@jebclark3988 , my go to place too.... but been slim pickens for last 3 years.. and everything is expensive since Brandon was placed..
