And now, my question for 2 years: which is the strongest weapon (not type, weapon) in all history of monster hunter main series games? Which have the Highest damage (probably a MHRS weapon)?
Wasn’t the chernobog’s scythe one of the most op weapons in 4U? The high sharpness, 45% affinity, on top of sleep element meant every other second the monster was either stunned or sleeping?
I remember tri aleatreon kicking our teams arse like crazy. There were 3 of us, and we always got our butt kicked. Then one day a guy in our lobby asked to join, first time I learned of the power of sleep bombing.
Even though the Sunbreak Dual Blades were less cheesy than everything mentioned before them, they were still the only ones to get sarcastic commentary... Chat this is sus ain't it? 🧐
BDS in MH1 was one of if not the most used weapon in 5-6 star hunts. Lance was not the least used weapon IMO. That goes to the bowguns. I only saw those on Fatalis and Lao missions consistently
You skipped MHP3 in 3rd gen 😭 P3 has the overpowered bowguns where pellet automatically gathers on certain monster's head (very good against alatreon, amatsu, and zinogre) and elemental attack boost (alatreon armor skill) fully stacks with X element attack boost (specific elements), making elemental bowgun damage skyrocket.
I found a 2nd hand copy of MH1. I struggled SUUPER hard with Kut-Ku. I had no clue about the game what so ever due to my English not being as good as it is now and good lord, I was finally able to go online on the game at a friends house and we saw a player in some crazy black armor with a lance. Ofcourse it was Fatalis, happened to get in a Rathalos quest with one of those players and I was in awe when I saw that player headlock Rathalos. I Guess it was around 2007, because I remember the servers closing
Just wanted to share that this game you're being sponsored by (LIGHT OF MOTIRAM) actually looks really cool, nice job with the ad... oh, and the whole video of course, as always.
Can I ask what the source of the weapon usage stats at 0:34 for MH1jp is? I didn't even know this type of data was ever available anywhere, because it seems farfetched to me that the same Lance that had the Black Dragon Spear and could headlock monsters to death was somehow the least used type in that game.
Started at Freedom Unite and man I don't even know what I'm doing, my brother just let me play to get me occuppied. Used lunastra dual blades and fatalis armor just because it looks edgy and cool af. Good old Days 😂😂
Ah, I was so confused when you said Slashing in gen 5. I'm PC so I guess I never got to experience it. Anyways unless I'm deaf and just didn't hear it, I'm pretty shocked there was no mention of Spread/Shield mod HBG. The epitome of comfy braindead gameplay in Iceborne. I "learned" how to speedrun so many quests like the Seliana Teostra/Kushala hunts with spread HBG just to grind faster. I would finish those hunts in 2-3 minutes tops. I put quotes around "learned" because really after like 3-4 practice runs, you should have it down pretty consistently with spread HBG. It's just so strong and if you screw up, just aim at the monster and let the auto guard do it's thing. There's a few things I hope Wilds guts just because while they're fun to abuse, they're just unhealthy for the game imo and HBG with auto shield is one of them. I know it already has it in Wilds as a base kit feature now, but I hope you at least have to invest in it with skills to make it good or make you take more chip damage, just something.
Aww shame you didn't mention tge BOLAC in Gen, Kelbi 2.0. I think the Akantor HBG was another strong choice? Regardless, this was such a fun retrospect! Great video! Edit: I think it was Daora HBG. I gotta boot up the game again man

I love this type of videos. It's so nostalgic
Light of motiram seems like a mix of monster hunter, horizon zero dawn, and ark survival
Capcom: *Released new feature
Developers: *nerf WanWan/Crystal Maiden
Came here for Awakened Kelbi Bow bullying monsters so hard it might be a warcrime.
Was not disappointed.
Greatsword, my beloved.
I think it’s good to say what is also the most broken after final patches
Heavy Bowgun? They're indeed uniting in freedom.
That Palw- I mean Motiram sure works fast, already sponsoring one of the most influential MonHun channel to advertise their game. LOL
Have you always been the Boss in TDS Chris? Have Played with you a few times when tri was new.
BDS in MH1 was one of if not the most used weapon in 5-6 star hunts.
Lance was not the least used weapon IMO. That goes to the bowguns. I only saw those on Fatalis and Lao missions consistently
I used lance for most headlockable content in mh1. When the online hub had "claw day" we would bust out the heavy bowgun and do fatalis runs!
Here's hoping Gunlance becomes one of the Better weapons in Wilds when that Drops I seen how great that performed from the Beta
MHR dual blade is me vibing my LIFE as a DB main and DB main only
All I remember:
MH3: blast kelbi bow
MH4: blast element insect glaive (crimson fatalis)
shit was op in my friend's circles
Slime was OP, I remember *_blasting_* my way through G Rank with Brachy's Hammer
I totally forgot how insanely broken slash ammo was because I never used it.
Ark had a baby with Horizon zero dawn. Bruh from me.
That ad transition was funny as all hell lmao
You skipped MHP3 in 3rd gen 😭
P3 has the overpowered bowguns where pellet automatically gathers on certain monster's head (very good against alatreon, amatsu, and zinogre) and elemental attack boost (alatreon armor skill) fully stacks with X element attack boost (specific elements), making elemental bowgun damage skyrocket.
so much nostalgia in one video
I found a 2nd hand copy of MH1. I struggled SUUPER hard with Kut-Ku. I had no clue about the game what so ever due to my English not being as good as it is now and good lord, I was finally able to go online on the game at a friends house and we saw a player in some crazy black armor with a lance. Ofcourse it was Fatalis, happened to get in a Rathalos quest with one of those players and I was in awe when I saw that player headlock Rathalos. I Guess it was around 2007, because I remember the servers closing
I can’t believe that horizon clone actually convinced yall to do a sponsor
I totally remember Clust Alatreon rooms in Tri, ah the good old days.
I remember my parents speedrunning Alatreon with said bowgun... That was the old time
i miss the underwater fights from MH3.
I hope they bring them back.
25:41 "Gotcha Beach!" 😂😂
now make one for each weapon, aint no dream like getting the best weapon in the game
I still play lance a lot because of the nostalgia of headlocking in the first game
I'm hoping gen 6 is the age of the gunlance because it went so hard in the beta.
LoM looks really good! But I have a feeling they're gonna get sued by someone
I pity anyone who haven't experience the majesty that is Valor HBG. No seriously, I pity the fool.
Started at Freedom Unite and man I don't even know what I'm doing, my brother just let me play to get me occuppied. Used lunastra dual blades and fatalis armor just because it looks edgy and cool af. Good old Days 😂😂
We are not talking about the Online games?
I gotta boot up the game again man
23:42 oh yeah i had one of those. I hunted with randos tho so they would usually not pay attention to the sleep proc and i ended up wishing i got a para gs instead. Never did tho...
1:54 that rathian....that poor rathian....
"lOnGsWoRd Is So BrOkEn, CaPcOm NeRf PlZ"
MHTri was so good.. I have many memories
Valor HBG/LS is by far the most broken thing in MH history
great video but I'm sad you didn't talk about the bounding dalamadur, insect glaive was really good but this thing had insane stat
the sponsor looks like the game horizone got told not to worry about xD
shoutout to magnet spike
i like when they nerf the OP because it destroys the game. world & rise still have god mode builds.
Guys did you know that when capcom makes a new feature its op?
Im a speedrunner, i can confirm dual blades is busted in sunbreak
I used slicing with the nergigante light bow gun even after the nerf.
Mfw when Longsword isn’t the most busted thing in Rise: 😨
Cool video, thank you!
monster hunter in a nut shell : capcom tends to make new things strong,
Remember gush crab lance in sunbreak?
Linus can count confirmed
I was wondering when King Attilart Sword was gonna show up, whose idea was it to make crit draw be 100% chance to crit?
Shout-out grongigas. Best hammer I ever did saw
