Their relationship is just so genuine. Lo'ak finally found that one connection with someone else that he's been needing in his life. They understood each other and it was so beautiful watching them have fun together. They are spirit brothers for life🌊💙💙
@@christins.1481 Lo'ak was abandoned in the ocean beyond the reef which was the safe area by the kids of the water clan...he got caught underwater by another extremely aggressive shark type creature which was trying to kill/eat him. Just when all was lost and he ran out of breath and the creature was closing in on him for the kill, this much bigger whale swooped in and killed the shark and lifted him above water saving his life. When he regained consciousness, this video was their interaction. They bonded and became spirit brothers afterwards.
Lo’ak’s relationship with this creature is so pure. It reminded me of Free Willy and A Dolphin’s Tale. But way more emotional and even badass. I love this movie and all it’s phenomenal moments.😃💙🐋
YES. Sawyer's friendship with Winter the Dolphin was so heartwarming and emotional to see. But it's also emotional to realize that the real Winter is gone.
Lo'ak and Payakan shared some of the best moments in the movie for me. They trusted one another and had each other's back. Both of them saved each other and their bond is unbreakable. Payakan literally had no one else to turn to before Lo'ak and I'm so glad there was a spark that connected them together💙
Completely agree ❤️ went with my father last night he hasn't been to a movie in almost 15 years, and I had already seen this many many times lol he was awe struck and amazed and left speechless by the end and was so glad to give it a chance!
Honestly, friendship goals. I've always wanted to be friends with a whale (call it a childlike dream), and this just hits home so hard. I absolutely love it.
I don't understand people who say the Avatar films lack a good storyline. It may be simple but the story is so well told with so many of these emotional scenes. Simple is sometimes better
This scene is magical. Every note of music complements it so well. Payakan’s vocals, clicks and whistles are exquisite and full of personality. The Avatar team did such an amazing job bringing this space whale to life 💙🐋
Lo’ak’s friendship with Payakan reminds me of when a male humpback whale was protecting marine biologist Nan Hauser from the biggest tiger shark that she ever saw off of the Cook Islands. One year the very same male humpback returned and he recognized Nan Hauser, and she remembered him because of his markings on his skin and the scars on his tail fluke. Now that’s what I call a great example of a real life friendship between a human and a whale, but in this case it’s a friendship between a Na’vi and a Tulkun aka Lo’ak and Payakan.
I'm so damn glad I got to see the first one in 3D in the theatre. I've seen this one 4 times now in 4 different formats and I'll only stop going to see it when I can't anymore lol.
Anyone who had never seen or heard of a cgi would've believed these people and tulkun existed from how realistic it looked. 13 years well worth the wait.
Avatar Way of Water is SUCH a fresh breath of air after the 200st boring comic movie. Im so sick of superheroes, of "Marvel dialogue" where EVERY SENTENCE has to be quippy or a joke. Finally a real blockbuster that takes itself seriously
Literally seen the movie 4 times in Niagara Falls. I live in Chippawa where James Cameron grew up, his childhood house is a few blocks down from me. He is an inspiration like no other.
The most adorable and beautiful bond in the entire movie I wished if we could have seen more of them together we will definitely see more of them in 4th part
Those two are heavily misunderstood and unappreciated nearly by everyone around them (Jake's more concerned about Lo'ak's failures rather than his good-meaning attempts to prove himself, and other Tulkuns shunned Payakan because he went against their pacifist ways and wanted justice for his murdered mother) and everybody doesn't almost even want to understand them. Lo'ak and Payakan understand each other better than anyone else does and thus their friendship/brotherhood is build based on the mutual respect and understantment. 💙💙💙💙
Thats the scene they showed on the end of the first avatar movie rerelease in HD (and of course its the scene of the second avatar) and I was so amazed. I still am of course. I watched the second movie 5time lol xD
The first Avatar movie on DVD have a navi-eye on the front-side. I hope Avatar 2 will have a tulkun's eye. Let's say... Payakan's. Would be also epic, right?:)
So this is why it took so long to release avatar 2 James Cameron waiting for the right better motion capture tech to create these beautiful underwater scenes.
I've just read a comment that said the motion capture actors for Payakan did motion capture for their eyes as well which is why the whale/Tulkun felt so real as a character. James Cameron is an absolute genius and I'm so glad he waited for the right technology to be able to fulfil his vision and I'm glad the studios backed him and allowed him such a big budget
You don't know how special this movie became for me, I am a marine biology student from Chile and whales have always been my favorite animal, I admire and love them since I was a young boy, a relationship like Lo'ak and Payakan it's something that I always dreamed.
Don't forget James Cameron insists these aren't whales and banned people from calling them such on set lol. But they are very clearly modelled after them
I was surprised by how dramatic this film was and how much turmoil, death, and destruction there is. It's for good reason of course; to parallel our world and teach us valuable lessons. But it's also difficult to watch at times because it's so intense. James Cameron really ratcheted up the drama to 11!
Their relationship is just so genuine. Lo'ak finally found that one connection with someone else that he's been needing in his life. They understood each other and it was so beautiful watching them have fun together. They are spirit brothers for life🌊💙💙

their is so precious honest
That creature is an Akula that’s what it is
