I think the reason why Heihachi said that he wanted Both his son and grandson dead do to the Devil gene. The main reason for that is so he could cover up his schemes from the public. After all Heihachi by nature is scummy, like I’m not surprise that he wants to manipulate the public into thinking he’s the real hero. Plus he said that to a journalists who wanted to know the full story and so Heihachi either tolled him a lie or a partial truth.
@PESCHARLIE1 I think the murals we see at the beginning of the Heihachi trailer shows Tekken depiction of Raijin, which we know the mishimas drive their power from. Raijin is also purple in that mural, just like Jinpachi in base Tekken 5. So I think that the electric god powers provide a single chance at resurrection, but it's not like the devil gene where you're just alive, it's a possession and deterioration, which explains the line about Heihachis mind deteriorating in the trailer.
@californiawells2805 that is a very interesting observation. Honestly, I tried to decipher the murals, but I couldn't figure out if there was any deep meaning to them or not. You may actually be right!
@PESCHARLIE1 thanks. I'm just throwing this out there, too, to the people who say dumb shit like "this ruins the story of T7," I think this conflict will arise and be resolved by Lidia in the story before the ending
I guess reina just used her demonic powers to bring back heihachi body back to live when jin unlocked a new power to turn into angel to get rid kazuya devil abilities to end the fight but will in tekken 9
The whole point of Reina was suppose to be a stand in for Heihachi like passing a torch but now that they just brought Heihachi back what was even the point of Reina.😒 Apparently they originally wanted Heihachi to stay dead but then they said they started missing him and saw the fans missing him too so they thought it was okay to bring him back again for the 30th anniversary. They said it can’t be a 30th anniversary without Heihachi. Honestly he really should’ve stay dead. With the amount of times he got killed off and brought back it gets super old. They really can’t let him go already. I think they might have a hard time letting characters they love go. 🤦
I wonder if there's any possibility of Reina killing Heihachi in the story expansion? Probably not... But just a thought. Characters like Bruce, Wang, Baek, and Roger seem really unlikely to come back at this point, despite how often people request them, so I wonder what makes Heihachi different? Alright, he is the main villain, so maybe not a fair comparison, but their bold decision to kill him off really didn't last long lol
It’s a weird choice given how Tekken 8 already made its conclusion between Jin and Kazuya, and I was thinking Harada already fulfilled his purpose from there but nope, It’s either a portion of gaming fans are to blame since they’re like the type of folks who demand who they want in the game. (like demanding M.Bison) Also the type of folks who would not care about the lore lazily. Or B.) Harada talk to his developers and make plan B. Which might be this scenario we have right now. On Which totally invalidates all that happened in Tekken 7.
Honestly if he was only on the roster but not i the story then that would be fine. He could have been like kazumi and be a flashback only character and maybe dinal boss of the story mode. He was completely non canon in tekken 5 and that was okay. Is it me or doe he look younger in the trailer? Not young but his haur isn't white like 4-7, or a light grey like in 3. But he is still bald but his hair is darker. You don't assume his lava bath restored him to his tekken 2 age range?
Yeah I know what you mean. Just because a character is in the roster, doesn't mean they have to be alive. I'm no expert on the effects that lava does or doesn't have on reversing aging, but I don't think he looks particularly younger to be honest
In before I get a copy of Tekken 7 on sale and I see Heihatchi and all of his Reina moves and after Tekken 8 being my first Tekken. I'm like ah look there is the "Bald Reina" again for the promo "Bald Reina" strikes again. Oh look I just realized we have "Bald Reina as DLC for this Autumn. Hilarious considering Reina was the first character I played a lot of.
Doesn't it seem kinda thin, though? I'm not sure how to describe it except that Heihachi's is like an X written in bold font. And there's still the fist shaped scar that seems to be missing
So My guesses that a same scene on tekken 6 happened in Harada office with heihachi when Lars pull out a gun shot at heihachi, yeah this time Harada pull a gun on heihachi but caught the bullet with teeth again so old man live again as DLC that what i hear

Actually that's a really good theory. It would be in character for him, and it would make sense too. I hope you're right!
I think Heihachi is going to come back the same way Jinpachi was resurrected in Tekken 5
As in he'll be possessed by something?

Interesting theory. Haven't heard that one before, actually. Do have to wonder if Reina will have any unique abilities with her Devil Gene
he is still alive because harada main him and he will be s tier

Damn, after 30 years of existence, Heihachi's legacy has been reduced to "Bald Reina"? 😭
Nah that's definitely Heihachi in the trailer, he does have the big X scar if you look closely, it's just mostly covered.
Doesn't it seem kinda thin, though? I'm not sure how to describe it except that Heihachi's is like an X written in bold font. And there's still the fist shaped scar that seems to be missing
Heihachi cannot die. Anyone who thought he was dead is a gullible fool
He wasn't joking when he told Raven "the Mishimas are invincible"
Heihachi used the volcano like the fountain of youth
Just a relaxing bath for him

I believe it
Plot armor
Might as well just let him keep the Zaibatsu at this rate
he's him, also tekken's story has always been kinda bullshit. Im just here to see the insanity unfold tho lol
Heihachi's always been the biggest demon in Tekken, ironically
He must be dead
Rumours of a trailer soon. Hopefully, it'll give us some more clues 👀
reina character was a waste
She's still really cool though don't you think? But I know what you mean
Nah shes good, only cuz i can spam pewgf
