Great review, Jeff! I received this little book on Friday and, like you, read it in one sitting yesterday. Understanding that it is focused on a particular skill set, I read it straight thru to get an overall view of the principles involved. Now I will go back through it again, coin in hand, and begin the more challenging aspect of actually putting in the effort to learn the techniques described. Agreed that the cost of admission could be considered a bit steep for such a slim volume, yet even so I have to say a couple of lines in the book literally made me laugh out loud which is always a wonderful bonus. Overall I’m happy with A Florin Spun and will recommend it to others who may be interested in developing routines based on controlling a coin toss.

Really cool book, a bit expensive I suppose but it's nice. Wish it had a few more ideas for stuff using the toss to be honest, some ideas for a close up routine or something, but either way I bought it and learned it and it mostly works for me, happy with the purchase and appreciate the focus

This book interests me primarily because I have my own technique for the controlled coin toss which I’ve been doing for about 20 years and I’d just like to see if it’s the same idea. I’m not sure that I want to spend the money just to find out though, even though the book looks interesting, I doubt that I’d switch techniques if I read it so I’d really only be buying it to find out!

Ha! That's interesting that you came up with your own technique. What prompted you to do so?

I’m in exactly this situation too! (And I think my own version is probably also around 20 years old) I’m intrigued what his technique is. Mine technically could allow a spectator to catch (but I’d be very nervous about it) so I’m wondering if it is the same. Like you, I’ve been doing it so long I’d be unlikely to change, but I am very curious.

I appreciate a smaller, hyper-focused book like this, but I don't have much interest in a controlled coin toss. Thanks for the review, though!
