- Bill Wyman & Mandy Smith at the opening of the Sticky Fingers Restaurant in London, May 1989.
Sticky Fingers, which takes its name from the Rolling Stones 1971 album, opened it's door in May 1989 and was adorned with a wide selection of Rolling Stones memorabilia. However, the former bassist of the rock icons has now closed the restaurant for good after 32 years.

I was livid at the time about this (I was just a couple of years older than Mandy). It was so repulsive how the media treated it- and how much the Rolling Stones machine protected him- protection that no-one, especially her parents, offered her.
I love the Stones but this whole affair just sticks in my craw.

Again, I’m a huge fan but Mick and Keith ARE the Stones machine. So they may be gentlemen in their individual lives but they still put the Stones reputation before what was right for that young woman. :-(
@@rainbowstones5431It’s pretty much common knowledge that Mick and Keith slept with underage groupies throughout the 1960s and 1970s. Most bands indulged in similar behavior as it was commonplace in rock circles. As for Bill, who cares? Mandy was a teenager who looked 30+ and was living an adult life. Clearly, he exercised horrible judgment, but everyone needs to let it go.

In 1993, Wyman's son Stephen Wyman married Patsy Smith, the 46-year-old mother of Bill's ex-wife Mandy Smith. Stephen was 30 years old at the time. Consequently, the ex-Rolling Stone became his own son's ex-son-in-law, the father-in-law of his ex-mother-in-law, as well as the stepgrandfather of his ex-wife.

Agreed, it's uploaded as historical document, more than anything. At this time my own girlfriend was 19, the same age as Mandy, she was horrified that Mandy was getting married to a man who was 10 years older than her father. To my mind, Wyman should have been questioned by the Police at the very least, yet they never interviewed him at all.
