This guide is actual for 19.04.2024. The patch has come out, such things fixed! I'll do a full review after all the changes.
"A diabolical crap occurs" is my new favorite statement
I think Hakita won’t even remove it, he will just nerf the damage and make it a feature lol
@@Pablo-Lol the magnets now break *cries*
Add new style bonus +DIABOLICALCRAP
It's kinda funny how the new weapons were at first generally viewed as niche and/or useless when the update first came out, when in actuality they are absolutely busted.
There is no middle. There is either bullshit or imbalanced.
@@javok1767 the classic make-everything-op-as-fuck balance strat
Jackhammer is a great example, at first viewed as eh, but quickly became a dopamine machine
Still waiting for someone to share an actual good use for the firestarter. I wouldn't be too surprised if there is one but i did take some time to test new stuff in the sandbox and it doesn't seem to do much.
@@zaifir8119while it’s not the most broken thing you can think of, burning enemies take an additional 50% damage so… there’s that at least
Totally fair and balanced variant
Of course the nail gun is the most overpowered red variant. We just need to wait for woolie’s next UK stream and hakita will nerf it again
Yeah, I'm already expecting a nerf to jumpstart
Is not like is a multiplayer game you can just not use it
Ngl I actually find it pretty difficult trying to keep it on more mobile opponents or opponents that throw you around (i.e. Ceberi, Guttertanks, Insurrectionists and Mindflayers, etc)
Hakita probably considered that sort of risk/reward when designing the distance limit when dealing with heavier/more threatening enemies with it
Its like coin slab same dmg
you can wipe out like half of an entire CG wave in a few seconds with this thing it's CRAZY
You can do almost the same by launching a rocket into another rocket with the new jackhammer
@@PixyEmcounterpoint, enemy explosive resistance
Counterpoint: brutal mode
One could even say that it can be quite... SHOCKING
Seriously.. I used it once to kill a Cerberus at like wave 40? Wiped out everything in a bloody gory mess.
I like how with this the lack of a stupid broken combo for the nailgun is fixed.
The reason the discharge happens faster with the sawblade variant is because enemy’s with the wire that are hit with daw blades decrease the charge ing time. This is better for a quick burst on higher health enemy’s like the p-2 weezer room since you can’t discharge quickly with a fotter enemy.
they added discharging to ultrakill 💀
THE WEEZER ROOM LMAO
yeah so basically saw is better for higher hp targets while nail is better for crowd control. both basically as good imo
@@ryli06 the best thing is, if you have the nail variant you can still use the saws from the other ones (variants) to get the same effect
You can set up a sawcon with magnets and then hit an enemy with the jumpstart, when they get in the saw circle, or if you set it up in their spawn location, all the saws will make the jumpstart blow pretty much immediately.
2:34
While the damage might be in need of a nerf, this isn't actually a bug! From what I'm able to tell, it goes like this: Any form of electric charge causes the magnets to gather and release the charge, zapping everything around it. This includes other magnets. Since this bonus zap doesn't destroy the magnets, the electric burst does a chain of zaps, with each one refreshing the other magnets. Basically, it goes in a circle forever. This also doesn't have to be done with that specific setup either. My go-to for clearing the first four cerbs in P-2 is to hit them all with nails so they conduct, throwing down 3 magnets all in the center of the room, and then zapping one cerb with the blue railcanon. The feedback loop of zaps still occurs, despite the magnets all being in one spot.
This was nerfed in the recent patch, but is still doable I believe. Magnet will break after a few conducts
I ain’t reading, all of that!
@@funnydog8742it's barely 3 paragraphs 😐 you not being interested doesn't mean that we are also not interested 🤡
@@Taha_A I ain't reading all of that
I read alla that
this video is easily the best of any i have seen about the new weapons. ty for this!
I glad to read that!
I can’t believe Hakita is making us learn electrical engineering and how magnets affect electricity.
“Electrical engineering” this is like IGCSE level physics being discussed
For the dual Insurrectionist fight, you can also set up an oil puddle and light it beforehand, dealing even MORE damage and activating their fire weakness.
The saw blade has some uses too! If you shoot what you’re attached to, it creates a shock on each hit. It also reduces the time it takes for the shock to go off.
You almost found my silly (somewhat broken) tech I found a couple days ago. Calling it the superconductor. I posted a video demonstrating it, and I’m going to post the full breakdown soon. (Not that anyone will ever see it)
I will go see it
so its basically the nailgun but faster shock for less crowd clear?
@@dekbimo9404 faster shock but less damages because there are less nails in it.
I love how the two strongest things in V1’s arsenal is a tie between coins and electricity
So, in other words, V1 is one of those coin operated machines you see in arcades
This weapons gonna be nerfed in 12 hakita-seconds,,, it ultrakills TOO well 😭🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
tbh it didnt really get nerfed, you just cant really do the magnet infinite chain thing anymore
Did that got fixed or dmg got lower? @@ohmygodmateitbearinnitkid9251
@@fero_art the chain weakens ze magnets
@@ohmygodmateitbearinnitkid9251 The chain after the magnet extensions gets weaker?
@@baimhakani each lightning weakens the magnet it targets
If you kill something that's in water with jumpstart, everything in the water gets damaged, that also goes for the electric Railcannon. If you go to 5-1 and kill the Virtue with Jumpstart in the first room, everything in the first room gets killed, however, you take 50 hard damage
I love that the nail gun is actually better then the sawblade since we already use sawblade for the first 2 variants and I really didn’t want it to be the same this time as well
its not, actually. the sawblade can do like... two thirds of minos's hp.
The caveat of aerial enemies not taking magnetic damage is that if you attach a magnet to them, they WILL take damage, so keep that in mind.
These maurices bout to become lightning clouds for my thunderstorm
Petition to call the magnet in the middle strat: Fork in the Outlet
Feels like when the freezeframe buff was added to the rocket launcher, it was insane
Wonder if Hakita will add a pre-patch mode or someone makes a pre patch mod combining all the OP editions of the variants
(Freezeframe Ultra nuke, sharpshooter prison one shot, this jumpstart)
Don't forget VERY STUPID no-Hard-Dmg Whiplash!@@MageBurger
@@ED-gw9rg forgot about that one, that caused a wildfire in the ULTRAKILL community for months!
the classic "make everything equally overpowered" balance strategy
always works and makes everything fun
this video was actually so helpful especially for showing the differences between nailgun and sawblade launcher
One of the best guides by far, this is a new era for the nail gun.
I appreciate showing actual practical uses
Damn thats the first good guide I've seen all month
Thanks for the guide! I recently realized that I don't know what the jumpstart *actually does,* just that it did big damage. I'll probably switch it off of sawblade next time I play
Hakita giving us more ways to not care about filth strays and soldiers
a thing about the sawblade launcher: if a saw hits an an enemy with a cable attached, the charge time is reduced. This can lead to crazy fast discharges against single targets.
Yes, i mentioned that. Anyway, thanks!
Does that work for the Blue variant saws too I imagine? If so that is gonna be very good to use
@@kingcalibur413 YES IT DOES! And its completely broken, both amazing crowd control with nails and good single target dmg with saws and you can use them both at the same time by just having the red variant regular and the blue saws
The thing I’m most surprised about is that they didn’t put a limit on how many you could kill
Thank you for the guide, i saw the red nailgun and i thought that it was a really fun weapon, and now i will now ho to use it. Great video.
Note about the alternate jumpstart: You do not have to use specifically the Alternate Jumpstart for the sawblades to work, any alternate nailgun's saws will reduce the charge time. However, unlike nails, saws do not cause more damage.
Real good vid. All the applications and bottom text explanations are phenomenal.
Thanks! Glad to hear this, mate.
I like to keep the setup of blue saws, red saws and green nails in that order, you can absolutely shred as you first ahoot out the nails, then attach the outlet and then spam the overheat, also you can kill a full health maurice with a single overheat
This thing literally carries me through cyber grind… I don’t know what I would without it 😢
really good guide! i can now smite my enemies with knowledge. thanks a lot!
Even better, if you attach nails to 3 enemies and then hit the railcannon, you can get a conductor loop that keeps going until one of the nailed enemies is dead, which will also fry any other enemy with less hp
I was playing Ultrakill again, stats wiped and everything. I used the Jumpstart nail gun at the 0-5 fight. Fastest ULTRAKILL rank I've ever gotten. I swear, it *jumpstarted* my rank from D to ULTRAKILL. 8800 style points total, I remember.
I KNOW YOU! YOU'RE THAT FURRY WHO MAKES A LOT OF PLATES OF FATE CONTENT!
You can combo Sawblade with Nailgun Kickstart
Essentially, you can start zapping, shoot a heap of nails in and then swap to sawblades to rapidly zap them quicker if you need them zapped faster.
You could also probably combine this with magnets too for maximum crowd killing speed
Thing to note, jumpstart seemingly creates extra arcs of electricity when attached enemy is hit by saeblades, and that makes hideo kojimbos kills so much faster in my experience
Hakita makes the red variants always broken on release, jeez
I can already smell the devastating nerfs on this thing
It seems like the nailgun provides extreme, heavy-duty clearing of fodder enemies and superheavy enemies, while the sawblade is used moreso for burst damage in combos since it takes around 1.5 seconds to deal its damage, which is kind of nuts
I love this weapon so much and I can't wait to love it even more when I watch this to the end
if you are busting bunch of stray/soldier, use jumpstart
but if you are wiping filths
use knuckleblaster
In Brutal it feels like blue/green sawblade + red nailgun is the most versatile given that the regular/overheat nailgun is outclassed by other techniques when it comes to quick single target killing
Now thats a real cool guide, thanks for sharing this stuff it's so helpful and cool
Jumpstart my beloved
something you forgot, when an enemy is attached to the wire, a smaller burst of damage will be sent to them each time a saw hits them. pretty sure, each small burst can also cause conductor, but I'm not sure
As i checked, there isn't a conductor damage, cause saws don't embed to enemies bodies
Cant wait to see how nutty this and the other weapons will be in speedruns
I've always had a soft spot for the Nailgun, and this new variant absolutely does it justice. I hope it doesn't get nerfed into oblivion...
Really find my know what to do with this variant but playing brutal P-2 opened my freaking eyes opening the final room before Sisyphus with magnets on swordsmachine, railcannon, and additional rockets for more conduction and then unfreezing the rockets made for a hell of a combo and now I need more
I vote the double-magnet strat thing to be called the "Lightning Ouroboros."
Bro this is probably the new fastest way to kill V2. I did a setup using the green nail gun and the blue and red sawblade and I instantly killed him as soon as he spawned
violently
I was always hesitant to use the Jumpstart because I'm usually very defensively mobile in my playstyle, but using it on weaker enemies seems like a solid strategy
what i've been doing is use red nailgun to attach and then put a few nails in the enemy then swap to blue sawblade launcher to bring down the timer and maybe put down a magnet.
At least it's difficult to set up if you're panicking, but when used correctly this seems overpowered
Jumpstart my beloved
It's been carrying my noob ass through violence on brutal and holy shit it's OP
it actually melts even the heviest enemies
jumpstart + magnets and sawblades makes clearing out cybergrind waves ridiculously easy albeit with tremendous lag
IMO it’s the most complex weapon in the game itself in isolation
whoa this is so well made!!
with all the new weapons, it really makes you wonder what is the "meta" now for the cybergrind or in general
You may have forgotten about the fact that sawblades significantly reduce the charge up time when they hit an enemy with the wire in it. Making it better for single targets.
Yes, i mentioned that just slightly.
They should give the 'bug' with the magnets a style bonus called `+Complete the Circuit' or something
Fun fact 2:35 was just patched in the latest hotfix hakita released a few hours ago
Yes, i see. It's strange that he hasn't changed the number of enemies that come under the influence of discharge, cause it kills entire arena, as it's shown in my intro
very clear and informative, thank you !
Well, this mostly correct guide for this gun
I like the sawblade jumpstart better
There's so many weapons that are used for the purpose of killing multiple enemies at once
While the jump-start saw blade gives it a new purpose which is being able to delete a single tough enemies health with the assistance of other weapons
im surprised that the conductor didn't get a small nerf in the newest patch
frozen rockets and coins also work as a replacement for magnets here
This weapon is so much fun to use :D
I actually found a tech that can oneshot an infinite amount of enemies: you attach as many magnets as you want (you can test in sandbox with unlimited ammo) shoot the jumpstart's cable, and shoot the electric railcannon at the same time the electricity releases. It's too OP
Oh i'm stupid its not the same with only 3 magnets that you get without the infinite ammo cheat, I thought it was so powerful with just 3 magnets. But still, the more magnets you add, the more damage it is.
i bet if we combine that with railcoin punch it can oneshot sisyphus prime
new update just came out, no more infinite conductions lol
still probably somewhat works, also this is a great guide
Yes, i'll rework all the guides after all the patches come out.
i love tht short circuit tech tbh
This is the closest we can get to robot sex in Ultrakill
This is a really good guide
NAILGUN META BABYYYY
the sawblade is good at killing big enemies fast, and can conduct to smaller enemies. i can one shot hideous masses with a railcannon shot and the sawblade launcher jumpstart.
I like how the glitch was patched almost exactly when this was released.
Dude I though red weapons kinda sucked in combo aspect but this looks so cool
Really hope it doesnt get nerfed, it's super fun to use :( but yeah it's probably too overpowered lol i can always just absolutely decimate cybergrind by shooting down a maurice or virtue with it
nice vid 👍
Was changed in a patch so you have to attach the wire then shoot rather than shoot then attach wire, making it much more awkward to use sadly
Note: Sawblade Launcher takes 1 second off per sawblade shot (and hit)
Oh so we are now literally just Nobara from jjk
If you hit an enemy with the Sawblade variant also reduces the time to discharge :D
Yeah even in the teaser, this weapon was obviously gonna be the most broken. The sawed on is also crazy.
I really don't like text only video but I subscribed anyway, great video!
Maybe i'll try to do a video with voice. It's hard to me and i don't know will be that better than only text video.
@@ultrazlan Don't feel pressured, that's just my preference, there are definitely good text only channels on UA-cam (or even AI voice lol)
As I expected the Jumpstart Saw is not as powerful as Jumpstart Nail
And yet I still used it frequently _and even allowed to avoid near-death experiences_ in my Brutal run with the worse of the weapons
i needed this man thx pookie wookie dookie sookie rookie mookie nookie bookie cookie tookie bear
coins can conduct electricity like magnets
So basically the best AOE damage in ultrakill currently
As of now, someone found out by accident that the pulse jumps to not only magnets but also coins
And it multiplies the damage by a TON
the sawblade launcher is so broken, it does so much damage when stacked with the double fire rate while shocking
I'm sure it'll be fixed in the next patches
i think sawblade launcher is the same time that it takes to discharge, but each saw decreases discharge time by 1 second if it hits. just firing it does nothing.
THE WRATH OF ZEUS
2:39 ULTRAKILL: how to build a working tesla coil (working)
Wait, it discharges early if you kill the enemy???? This changes everything.
it's like one superweapon rather than 3 separate ones
Oh so you CAN make the jumpstart work faster.
We don’t exactly get lore in game so i didnt know
Good guide 👍👍👍
dear hakita
DO NOT NERF THE DAMAGE PLEASE
Thanks for magnets tech!
You forgot to add that the Railcannon instantly fills up the charge if you hit the enemy with the cord attatched, regardless og you killing it, making it so you dont have to wait the 5s for it to fill up
It's interesting, thank you! After all patches i'll add this in a new video
