Race to the Mansion (All the Strange, Strange Creatures Variant) - Doctor Who Unreleased Music

- The epic version of All the Strange, Strange Creatures which plays during The End of Time Part Two. This was the motif's swansong as a regular occurring track. I've kept the ending of Never Too Old to Shoot and Fly at the beginning of this as I love the way the two tracks merge into each other.

What I have always loved about this sequence of events is a tiny little detail, a blink and you'll miss it moment as the Doctor flies the ship towards the mansion. Just before they reach the mansion itself, the Doctor seems so intent on crashing into it, and you see the panicked reactions of everyone with him.
But it's only when Wilf briefly flashes across the screen, clearly very worried, that the Doctor decides to pull the ship up towards the sky. I know I'm probably looking into it way too much. And it's probably meant to be all three of them panicking that makes him change his approach.
However I feel that Donna is still on his mind, she's alone in a world full of mad men, and the last thing he'd want to do is deprive her of her grandfather. It's why he pulled up at the last second, and why later on he sacrificed himself to free Wilf from the radiation chamber...
...at least in my head that's what happened. But I suppose that's the wonder of Doctor Who. You make of it what you will in some cases.
I love this interpretation. I absolutely agree with this. I think the Doctor would have crashed that ship without a second thought if it hadn't been for Wilf. I also love Wilf's "I won't stop you sir, but is this it?" He was a soldier who never killed a man. A soldier who was proud of that. And he was willing to die with the Doctor because he had faith the Doctor was doing the write thing.

you can slowly hear more and more of that 'The New Doctor' theme entering into the 'All the Strange Strange Creatures' variants like the soundtrack even knows it's approaching
How the hell did you get this so clean? This is like recording level quality! Best version on UA-cam. Please do more there are so many unreleased Murray Gold pieces that need this treatment.

@@VuddyProductions Everything you hear on all my uploads are extractions of Murray Gold's original score. I don't know anything about making music so I haven't recreated anything.

This part of the End of Time score...is a favorite of mine. To me it captures the feeling of the time war. And an almighty sense of facing death.
Revisiting the older MG gems, and this is certainly one of the best tracks in the Tenth Doctor's Specials era. A shame it has never been released in this form officially. But thanks so much for your work extracting all this epicness!
The fear I had of the Time Lords returning when I heard this. The Doctor seemingly on a suicide mission, the music, Wilf promising to support him no matter how he would die - by kamikaze or otherwise.
How it wasn't released on the soundtrack astounds me.

This is amazing. I love adding the "Gallifrey" part of "Never Tell Me the Rules" (Time of The Doctor) at around the 10 second mark and then resuming this when the other short snippet ends.

Could you please do the unreleased version of the Face of Boe's death from Gridlock? There was the released version called 'Boe' and 'The Face of Boe'. However the one used on TV is different to the released versions, and the TV version happens to be the better one, haha. If not it's fine, just thought it'd be best to ask. Whilst I'm here, the victory soundtrack from 'Fear Her' would also be something I'd love to hear from you. Either way, keep doing what you're doing. Loving the work! Take care.

@@CyberLeader91 I've just listened to that bit. Are you sure it's not in the official OST release that you can find on UA-cam ? I don't have a musical ear so I'm not sure if there's a difference between the two
@johnderat2652 No it isn't. It's an All the Strange Strange Creatures variant. Unfortunately a lot of the variants never made it into the offical release
