I love how we are reminded the DL is a "push" as well. When I think push the floor the lift is much better. Also, I do lose focus on the 3rd/4th/5th lift because, I don't know, you get fatigued and my mind starts to drift, most likely from fatigue and trying to remember to keep my back straight and breathe. Once again the small details do make a difference. Thanks Phil.
Another excellent tutorial! Much appreciated. I tried your idea of “bowing to the floor and looking for my mid foot” and it really helped , particularly on the 4th and 5th reps. Thank you!
If I recall correctly, she had a small scab on her shin, so she was covering it with tape to make sure she didn't accidentally catch it with the bar and bust it off (she's an efficient lifter and is good at keeping the bar close to the shins). To be clear, I coach everyone to deadlift, snatch, and clean with either long socks, sweatpants, or leggings . . . but I'm only willing to coach my wife so much . . . a happy home is far more important. :-)
She does generally love chalk, but man, that day was something special! I thought about editing her out, but figured it was pretty adorable…then again, I’m pretty biased :-)

Those small details do indeed make a difference, and you're welcome!

The demonstrator has a bandage on her shin in the second demonstration. Did something go wrong?

I don't mean to alarm you, but there seems to be some kind of little chalk pixie hanging around in your gym 😅.
