Beautiful setup Shaun & guys at Epic! As much as i like watching the Shaun's Overlanding videos. I love the install and fabrication videos just as much. Stay Safe All!
I run 400ah with the same system. When you run it low the 30a charge is slow but fine when plugged in overnight. Considered adding a BCDC that I can enable when driving on the road to double the charge rate.
When I seen that charging port for when you’re at home, the first thing that came to my mind was how they charge an electric Jeep (EV) They have that little door they pop open to plug it in. I’ve seen people take that little door and convert it to an air supply door, but in your case, it would’ve been cool to have that little access door for your plug-in at home. Always great videos.
That's an absolutely massive system. I believe that comes out to be 6,000Wh+. You could use that as a backup system for the average home if you have a power outage. Do you plan on going all electric when it comes to cooking as well?
should probably add in an extra 50amp DC/DC so your batts actually charge up while you drive, that 30 AH from the manager 30 will take 19 hours of driving to top off those batts. thats what i run and it works great
Necessity is the Mother of invention as they say . Looks killer Sean . Nicely done guys . Epic adventure crew & you gonna be at Flagstaff for overland adventure show weekend ?? I’d like to check out your ride in person if so……🤔😉
I would put an ACR in between the truck & house batteries for 100% isolation & charging. Then there's no worries about a dead vehicle battery. Can I ask if you ran both positive & negative cables off 1 battery or did you do a parallel connection? (1st battery +, 2nd battery -)
That's a monster system! I wish I had $10k lying around. I would do the same😊 560 Ah is a lot of battery to charge! How many Amps are you getting from the Redarc? And what kind of solar capacity do you have? If you've ever watched Wild Touring, he also has a massive system.
I saw your add for your old battery - which would have been a perfect match for my other 200 Ah Discovery battery - but she flipped out and vetoed it saying, "Why do you need another battery for?" So for the sake of matrimonial harmony, I had to skip it :(
You mentioned a few problems, egr and “a bunch of other stuff. “ Never said anything about the super charger being the culprit. Nate mentioned it in the comments. I understand for business reasons. You explained that. I loved the trail wrecker. It was realistic for us common broke folk😁. What happened to all the accessories that you had. Like the red arc and the solar and batteries. Not trying to piss you off man. Love your videos. I’m not the only one curious.
Are you not worried about off gassing from the batteries in the cab? Typically when batteries are being charged they off gas, these gases can be harmful. By the sounds of it, your batteries will be off gassing a lot.
@@blueman5924 Lithium-ion batteries do not off-gas under normal charging and discharging like lead-acid batteries, but thermal runaway in failing lithium-ion batteries can produce gases that are both flammable and toxic. How do you know a lithium is failing until it's too late?
If that happens the truck is probably burning to the ground, and that would happen regardless of if they were inside or outside the truck. I'm not really concerned about it though.
That setup is unbelievably next level.

Awesome video as always Shaun. Your Gladiator keeps evolving into the ultimate overlanding rig.

If this goes on much more, you might be able to re-register it as an overlanding RV. Allllll the bells and whistles ! 🤩🍁🤙

That's actually a really great idea, I wish I'd thought of it!
Those are cool but don’t work on the Mohave/392 hood set up.
Hi Shaun , Great Channel, Seen you in the Mountains and around here, Had no idea you live up the road from me, Keep on wheeling.
I’m stealing some of your ideas. Rig looks great!
Awesome setup
Great set up. I was taking notes for a future plan on my gladiator.
Love the synthwave start!
That rig cost more than my first pre-construction condo...🤣
What an awesome feature - thanks for sharing!
Love all the fab work! That’s an insane amount of power!
that's a serious piece of hardware installed....you could run a coffee shop in the middle of nowhere with such a power source! Congratulations..
Great point!
Setup the java hut at ramp rock 😂
@@bcdriftfisherman I’d be able to retire early with that kind of business.
@@TheStoryTillNow Maybe next year at Easter Jeep Safari, you should do just that. Come in as a vendor, show off your rig, and sell coffee 😁
Hello. I am still waiting to buy your stickers and Hat
Helluva rig bro!
Gonna need something like this on my FC-150 overland build
Amazing ad!

I don’t do a lot of cooking but I might get an electric stove at some point. 👍🏻

Definitely looking at doing that upgrade.
WOW! Nice electrical system!
And im hapoy i just baught my first set of beadlock ahahah great addition to your rig Shaun! The destroyer is coming along pretty darn good🤟
Thanks 👍
Wow, a midnight drop? Who needs sleep? I'll watch :) Those DL batteries are spendy, but what I would go with for sure
It was supposed to drop at 9am I’m not sure what happened 😓
I want to do something similar especially being in Montana and as you know, winters hitting sub negative temps.
You need to get some kaizen foam from fast cap for your battery storage, so much better then that stuff that comes in pelican cases
AWESOME setup!!!

I’ll be there!
awesome build ! --- takes a good sized foot print... how many days off-grid do you expect to be able to get that in typical BC sunshine ?

Chainsaw battery compartment. Goals.
Not the mom jokes. That caught me off guard, I laughed so hard and loud I woke up my wife
Very nice video thank you so much for sharing
That's an awesome setup..🤩🤩

Redarc maxes at 30a but you can add additional BCDCs if the alternator can take the load.
looks like a great setup, why is it in the back seat?
Has to be somewhere dust/water tight, and easily accessible.
Great setup. And you make excellent videos.
Now all you gotta do is get rid of that clown car wrap and you'll be the best out there. Hahaha.
Thoughts on moving the chain saw battery? - I would be afraid that if you hit something it would launch at you or your passenger.
Hopefully the passenger and not me. :D
@@TheStoryTillNow Hey! Hold on a sec.. 🤔
You need a disco ball to accent the red light.
Nice

Been there.
They say happy wife, happy life...
One day I’ll have half that 😅
Why dont you try to mount your spare on hitch? So you can have free space in the trunk
Too much weight for the back of the Gladiator.
Man I really wish you could have 42's on this truck would have looked amazing
What was it that killed the Trail Wrecker? Was it the supercharger. Why didn’t you tell any of the viewers.
Probably have to be a paying member to get the real story👎
I explained exactly what the problems were and why I got rid of it in the video where I got the new Gladiator.

@jerimiahjohnson520 that’s the same Redarc stuff I installed in this video, just used bigger capacity batteries. 👍🏻
What happened to gingers jeep?😢
He sold it
You built a DIY flux capacitor. Time travel is next….
ice cream machine XD
I like the way you think
❤Sweet !!👍
Sorry to hear that you have been sick - have you kept up in your 35th booster 🤷🏻🤔
R.I.P. seat back… 😢😂

Sealed batteries off-gas ??
