Great day with Henry Long Ranger 223/ , Ruger precision 6.5 creedmoor and Vaquero 357
Mag/38 special.
200 yds for the 6.5 and 223. Just couldn’t get a zero cold barrel. The Vaquero was outstanding at 11 yds. With practice it could really run.
As far as the others, that’s me not shooting much. All me
I am going to start stripping that creedmoor down. I know it’s a bench gun, but I’ve never liked a heavy gun. I can control a rifle with less weight. So if you have any ideas, let me know. I’m aware of the optic being part of it but, if I could skeletonize the frame stock and forend that would be cool.
BTW. I had gone to shoot the other day and just didn’t have it in me. A guy that was shooting there say my vaquero and asked if he could shoot it. Not cool to do that, but I asked him if he’d ever shot revolvers and of course he said he grew up with them. Against my better judgment, I put one round in and let him shoot. The idiot somehow thought his grip included having his long fingers over the cylinder at the barrel end. Great way to lose a finger but he was lucky it just got the very tip. I doubt the fingernail will stay on.
Just a reminder to new revolver shooters. Keep your body parts away from the cylinder. It will take your finger off from the blast.
