Psychoghost Gaming is a multi-gaming channel.
Uploads: If I have a time-consuming project (as for example montages) I will upload once a week, otherwise 1-3 times a week. I'm still new to YT and therefore, I'm still learning regarding recording (currently using shadow play), editing (Sony Vegas, After Effects, ...) etc.

What do you think of the bow being a medium weapon? Opposed to the large full crossbow and small hand crossbow? I find that the bow is so good that it leaves the full crossbow to be desired.
I realize that the implementation of the bow is quite amazingly well done... Crossbows have long reload times but instant firing. Bows have nearly no reload time and trade for a draw charge time that affects damage and maybe velocity output. You got a hand crossbow that blunts poison and leaves gasses behind (better at taking out immolators quietly and other denial uses) and then you got a bow that can poison, bleed, and the arrow can still be retrieved (tho I think it has chance of breaking or getting "trapped" in the map).
But with all that said, the bow seems silly to be a medium weapon. I can take a hatchet romero, dual pistols, and even a fully blown rifle with quartermaster. Idk, maybe if they later decide to introduce a composite bow or a longbow to be the large weapon... quite possibly making the current bow a shortbow with less damage, shorter range, but faster execution of the draw... it might work out. But still the full crossbow feels left behind and only really feels like it shines with shotbolt which you cannot retrieve since it shatters on impact. (The poison arrow is the only arrow or bolt that is essentially beyond it's normal ammo options that can be retrieved after fired).
EDIT: I say this fully in LOVE with the new bow.... it is ridiculously powerful, feels super good to use. Too good. For rifles to have poison or incendiary options that don't pierce and cause rending... even the normal rifle rounds that would definitely pierce hard through you and doesn't rend, it's crazy to think how OP the bow is. A flashback to shotguns that used to cause rending to it's victims.
This first encounter is the nuttiest thing, the NUTTIEST thing I've ever seen in this game.

"Psychoghost casually kills the entire server". You should be a boss in the game Mike. A madly dashing human-sized oponent that oneshots everyone if they dont break the line of sight quickly. Best way to take down the boss is with distractions and traps
"Sneak into that Supplyroom" he said, whilst the Chaosbomb alerting everyone in a 5 mile radius :D
DOUBLE BOW IS STRAIGHT NASTY!
My loadout for the foreseeable future is going in with Cain as the skin, 2 bows (one for normal arrows, and the second for razor wire), concertina traps, poisen traps, choke bombs, 1 ammo box, and 3 concertina bombs.
As a solo player you can dominate the flow/control of where enemy hunters have to navigate through a compound by making your own chokepoints. Pair this with the bow and it's extremely effective. Not OP in the slightest, but very effective when done right.

Personally, I think the bow is perfect, so fun to use.
Hopefully they will buff the crossbow and hand crossbows projectiles to keep them viable as well, I love the crossbow ♥️
The crossies are fine, people think the bow is stronger than it is because its being used so much during this event, people would think the crossbow was op too if everyone were using it

But their drop compared to bow is a little silly. And the large one only gets two special ammos. These are the only reasons I hope for projectile buffs for crossies.
@@randomhero2480 Bow has to get loaded every time before you shoot, crossbow can be loaded any time that's truely a big advantage.

Same story for me : since the beginning of the event, I made a LOT of knife kills ! My theroy is that when the bow hit the live servers, the standard distance of the fights tend to be closer than before the event. So, it besome easier to knife people

Really loving the bow. Kinda makes me feel bad for the crossbow tho. I think that you can hold the charged arrow for an infinite amount of time is super strong.

It's technically an infinite amount of time, yeah, but you can't run while doing it. So, in practice, unless you're camping in a bush, a crossbow will almost always be far more ready for an engagement than a bow.
The bow is my new favorite weapon, hands down. I am average with other weapons (still at a .6 kd but rising) but something about the bow just feels right, it performs great at range and in those spooky close range fights it may as well be a shotgun.

As a solo the bow is strong but in a team against other people where the element of surprise is not always on your side it is just avarage. You would wish to have a gun against everything further than 20m. let's see first how the meta goes and let people get used to the threatrange of the bow.

Protip: when facing down someone with a bow, run/rotate to your right! The bow blocks the right side of their screen, which makes it MUCH harder to lead shots. They can still hipfire, but it's less accurate.
*run to your left while facing bowman; if running from the bow then go to right
@@mushu1208 This might work at close range. But at anything past short, I can just aim ahead of you and keep you in sight. You going to my left while I have a bow makes it harder for me to gauge how much lead I need, since you'll be covered up by it.

Man, they make all the weapons in hunt so realistic and then add a bow, that you can hold in full draw for like a minute. Isn't that what crossbow is for? I hope they fix it eventually.

As 4 me, I preferred one bow with poison arrows, and another with grenades
Mean Bleeds: Set up a bear trap or Concertina mine at a choke point and go hide, while the hunters deal with the bleeding, Concertina arrow then Poison arrow

I've seen so many people unsheath their arrow after a full draw, how the hell do I do this? I'm tired of switching guns or just firing at the ground and picking my arrow up. There's no tooltips per usual, thanks crytek.
press R when your bow is fully drawn to cancel it

How are you getting hunter xp while looting? Is it because you finished the event trees? I dont ever see that icon when I loot. Just consumables/money and event points
Yeah, that's what happens when you max out for the day as they only allow you to get x number of points per day.
Honestly: It's way easy to level up in the event and just rack up XP. Basically anything that would give event points gives XP instead.

If you know compounds well, and the direction you took in, you can use it to run out as well while being full flash
If you know where to go - not that hard. As long as you know the flash is coming
