Hi, I Accidentally deleted The Jackster's comment about the glass not being textures, asking if it's a bug, the answer is i haven't textured all the glass blocks, only standard glass so far but will be trying to do them soon. really sorry!, the neon blocks they are just plain colours as the shader pack emits light based on that @thejackster-tl8oi
oh man it beautiful it feels so luxurious to just see someone walk in the halls i can imagine how it'll be like if the city is delapitated and modded in the splicers
HI ALL! the time has come, i have bee swayed! i have uploaded my texture pack to planet minecraft DOWNLOAD HERE www.planetminecraft.com/texture-pack/sca-snake-s-conquest-addon-pack/ but please note it will not be updated very often
I am Angellord, architect of the underwater cities. And I give you my blessing. I declare with confidence that you have surpassed all other builders and even me. You are one of the few who realized what the blocks were missing and put your soul into them, not just scrupulously copied from other builders or the bioshock map. Keep up the good work my friend, you are now the Leader of Underwater Architecture :3
I know it's late but if you're on bedrock my recommendation is to find a texture pack that's kinda grimey, it obviously won't be the same as this but it's better than the vanilla, I'm using Biohazard to build mine
thanks! the trouble i have with doing time-lapses is that i dont actually build in one go much anymore, and im constantly bouncing in and out to make a new texture or model, so it would be a fair amount of effort to stop start stop start when making the time-lapse.
Mad respect. This must have been allot of work. But the aesthetic and mood are spot on! You captured the ecence of pre-fall rapture so beautifully. Well done man!
Hi everyone!, if you are interested in how I make textures, and making textures in general I have made a website with some tutorials. it's not completely finished yet but there is already a lot of content there if you are interested. sites.google.com/view/snakestexturecreation/home
Love ur texture pack man amazing I’ve been using it for my 1920s city build thx so much also I love ur adaptation of the city of rapture have a nice day
You're building skills are insane! I wonder, are you planning to build Columbia from Bioshock infinite one day? Would be cool the see you do the areas from the E3 demos of that game.
thank you :), i am not working on Columbia unfortunately, but i do agree it would look great with all the work ive done but for bioshock infinite's style
If we could have a view of the outside of your build I'd love that, it really gives it scale when I'm watching these lovely updates. keep up the great work!!
You are a genius! I apologize a thousand for the previous disrespectful phrases. I'm really sorry for everything I said ... I hope you're not upset. I wish you the best of luck with your project!
@@supersnaketate that's understandable! the build is VERY nice too. if you ever change ur mind or want to finish it im sure people would even help you, ive been trying to find an awesome bioshock map like this for years to explore LOL and im definitely not the only one.
the water isn't very thick on the outside of the glass, then behind that is some air, then a few blocks after is the outside buildings, with their windows replaced with sea lanterns that have been textures with just a turquoise blue colour
nah it doesn't because its already a huge pack, for the creator to create the required textures would be too much time for him, and it'd be ridiculously large to download for a resource pack. I'm assuming you're wondering what that is at 2:46 it's a spruce button with a custom model i made for it, there are two states of existence for it "pressed" and "not pressed" when its pressed the texture for being pressed shows the buttons light up, but they aren't actually illuminating anything, they're just bright yellow pixels.
I have a follow-up question. I am using your site as a guide to make my own bioshock textures using the conquest pack. How did you retexture the outfits for the villagers?
if you've got optifine installed, you'll be able to use custom mob textures, this is located at "assets\minecraft\optifine andom\entity\villager\type" in there you can make multiple textures (plains2, plains3 etc..) for different designs, those link up to the official minecraft texture for the villagers located at "assets\minecraft\textures\entity\villager\type". it's kinda like how CTM is a replacement of the official texture in the blocks folder, but for entities
@@supersnaketate I just wanted to let you know that you are an absolute legend. I followed your steps on your site today and have successfully made a working texture pack. Thank you so much. I have another question though, and I’m sorry to constantly ask things from you, but would I be able to add things unmentioned in the site to my resource pack folder? Such as armor, entities, and other things like that to make custom armor, beds, etc?
@@SlopCorporation great, I'm glad someones making use of the site. I can add a few things like those you suggested but it wont be for while as I'm currently quite busy in my free time, :)
Are you still unwilling to sell/give out this stuff? I find it extremely beautiful and if I wouldn't be able to pay for it, I wish atleast you would do a full tour of the entire thing.
How did you get the water that blue and see through? I also use ptgi E12 but in my map you cannot see anything through the glass and the water looks dark and the glass only casts sky reflections I’ve tried messing with the setting but no luck yet
it's only a few blocks deep and a few blocks to the edge where there is then air. and its at night time which is why the sun isn't shining through the glass
damn, been wanting to build a large scale rapture like this but could never decide if it'd be worth it with how it looks on console, if only i had access to shaders
This is unfortunately a drawback of the shader, I'm using an outdated version of SEUS and his more recent version PTGI HRR 2.1 has the ability to render the lights accurately shaped.
the textures you need are basically a copy of the normal texture you see in game but they have different colours to determine the amount of shininess, for SEUS it's based off red & green colours. thew more red the texture is the shinier it'll be, the more green it is the more metallic it'll be. I learnt most of this by breaking down other peoples resource packs to see what they do to achieve the different things such as shininess and bumpyness, I suggest you find a shader optimized resource pack, open it with winrar or 7zip and check our that they have done.
built in a super flat world with maybe 209 blocks of water above it, couldn't do too much water cause the shaders would make it darker the deeper down you go in the water, so you wouldn't see the buildings

Thanks :)
This is how I imagined Rapture during its prime! Not the overly lit thing we got in infinite

Still wont ever get over how awesome this build is.

I would literally pay for this texture pack… wow.
The texture pack is free but the shader most certainly is not
HOLY MOLY! Nice man, Ill have to learn this unreal engine soon. Where can I download these assets for use?
HOLY SHIT i get DEEEEEP bioshock vibes. The textures are amazing so the shader.
I wonder how much of Rapture in its heyday could be built into Minecraft?
This is amazing i wish i could have this as a world, must have taken a lomg time to build.
So when will you be doing ruined/post civil war Rapture interiors?
Damn, man, it's cool, like a completely different game, but only the textures of these people spoil everything!
inspiring
do you plan on ever releasing the texture pack for money? It's extremely nice.
