Keep those lights on at night. Lovely to seeing you well and happy. One day I hope you come to The Bahamas. I will show you anchorages and diving spots you may find elsewhere but cannot be surpassed.
What an excellent adventure! Good friends, the highs are high & the lows very low (sorry, SV "Inky Blue"!) and the teamwork between you & Peter (and Tomas) is outstanding- keeping you off the nearly unchartable balmies that surround this cruising area so far! I would worry about larger monohulls, with their deeper keels but the underwater views are incredible- even if there are more sharks than fishes in many of the shots! I think so much would be missed without the drone shots- what a benefit we all get from the added angle & large overviews. Very, very enjoyable. Can't imagine how difficult it must be to leave some of the footage on the cutting room floor! Thanks again for bringing us along, GreatCircle!!!
We will miss Thomas☺️. While it’s difficult to film the waves etc (at least I think so🤭)you do an amazing job in giving us the right impression over and over again. Many thanks👏 love it❣️stay safe and healthy.
Awesome video. The drone shots are really amazing. The tempo brings us in a tropical trance. I decided to make myself fish and chips with a mango. Ok the fish was not selfcaught, the chips were not cut from a patato that grows in the backyard and I didn’t eat it under the mangotree, but together with your video-images I could almost hear and smell the sea.
Very interesting re using the floats to keep the anchor chain of the bottom to avoid damaging coral heads. Given that for big sailing cats and larger ships, it is the weight of the chain that provides holding power (instead of the anchor alone - hence the rules of thumb for scope of chain), it would seem this compromises the holding power of the anchor. What are your thoughts on this?
Yes it’s balancing the different factors. As there generally hasn’t been a lot of wind so far it hasn’t been an issue yet. The idea seems to be have 2 times the depth between the anchor and the first buoy to have some chain on the bottom first. So far we’ve seen more problems caused by chain getting stuck than anchors dragging
@@CatGreatcircle Yep i know , you owned an outremer 55 now , i mean your friends have 51 and 5x too that means you have an experince of that 3 different models , i just wonder if you hadn't bought the 55 would you consider buying the 51 or 5x

Loved the shot of the three different beautiful Outremers in a row, 5X, 51 and 55 👍👌

Looks so nice to do that as a group of boats (lasagne is a bonus).
I saw vitia , inky blue and you in a same scene and i wanted to ask , if you have a chance for choosing the body again , 51 , 5x or 55 again
Not sure if I understand your question correctly but our next boat is an Outremer 55

I see Endless Joy has caught up with you again. Looking forward to Tahiti but it might be a bit to touristy for me.
On the other hand it’s nice to see a restaurant again where they actually have food
😄That ist the problem of the pacific. On 162000000 km2 less good restaurants than scheveningen.
Great shots as usual.
Who's going to replace Thomas?
On short term the crossings will be just a couple of days so we expect to be able to enjoy it just the 2 of us
@@CatGreatcircle good luck. If you need a crew just let me know. I'll be there in no time 😂
I used to swim in shark infested water. I'm typing this with one hand. 😁
