The amount of memory, skill and reflexes needed to complete this game is tremendous for this very difficult game. Great job here. As a kid back then, I was only able to complete this game 1 time. I remember trying to control my nervousness when I reached the final stage. Learning that being calm makes things much easier.
Me too Action Fighter brings back lots great memories me and my cousin along with my neighbour playing this and other Sega master system games like power strike , wonder boy , wonder in monster land , fantasy zone and so many more
I found the music alone just sooo funny as hell to listen to,not only that but i do got fond memories of it,it makes me miss 1993 alooot when we rented this game, But what i also found interesting about the music is that it makes me believe that sega was jist jealous on nintendo and simply didn’t care about copy ca-tting games from the nes to be on their mastersystem😁🤣
@@afriend9428 When you're playing while flying and there are bullets and enemies trying to trap the track goes to annoying level, you wanna shoot everything that is in your way knowing that you can't
This is one of my first memories of playing video games as a very young child. My parents bought me this with the master system, and I remember spending hours upon hours trying to beat it. It was a hard game for a 3 or 4 year old haha
The music actually fits the game perfectly. You're a motorcycle that turns into a car, which turns into a super car! The music is as zany as this whole premise is. :P
Wow. That is some playing! That game is pretty difficult, don't think I've ever managed to get past the second mission and this play is a clean run-through without losing a life at all!
One of the best games from my youth. I was stuck on those damn red helicopters for ages. I think they are the toughest boss in the game you need to be on your toes the whole time.
8 years later you get someone to agree with you. I used to get so frustrated, they were impossible, I always had to get my older brother to beat them for me.
Games of the 90's era were so much harder as games these day's, Action Fighter is one of those games that shows how good u had to be to complete it :D I found this game, togheter with Ninja Gaiden 1, 2 and Rygar on the Nes, Ghost n Goblins ( Ghouls & Ghosts on the SuperNes ) and Flashback ( Super Nes / MegaDrive ) one of the harder games of that time, games like Alex Kidd in Mircacle world etc lol... real nostalgie and u can be proud if u beat any of those games back then ;)
Wow thank you for uploading this. I had this game as a kid Could bever get passed the first mission though lol. I was only 1 when it came out and was playing it from about 3 til 5yrs old
The guy playing has mad skillz. Its a hard game and its easy to get kill by any incoming shots. I bought this game yesterday and never made it to the submarines in level 1. Well done my friend!
R.I.P. the people in the blue cars. Out to do thier daily groceries or going for vacation but they get bombed from the sky. I can just hear the screams of agony of the ones who survived the explosion.
Not the best 8bit game, but it was so damn hard that you could play it for ages!I prefer it to games that are better but you can beat them in a few days..
Great work. Its 2021 and my Mastersystem is still set up. And I still can't get past level 2. I tried again today many times and thought to myself...whats past level 2. And now thanks to your vid I know
thanks Dillest Weed yeah mate i have good memories of playing on weekends with friends this & Power Strike , R type , Wonderboy monsterland/ Dragon trap, Kenshiden , Commando, Double dragon, man just good times
when i was a kid i couldnt clock alex kid, i could only get to the 1st castle, then die, BUT my brother could get to the third but we couldnt work out the stone at the end, so we would just run up and down all over the symbols and hope it would work.... we once asked the kids at school what happened when you clock it and they told us his whole family turn up and it was really cool..... it took us 8 years to clock that game and boy were we pissed off... the words scrolled up and we were saying any mintue!! his family gonna show up....
I either beat this game or had a dream I beat this game. After watching this longplay, I am pretty sure it was a dream.
What happened? Was the dream bazaar?
same.. couldnt get past the second stage as a wee little bastard
I got to the flying part and got my ass blown up by something that I swear wasn’t on screen.
My hand to eye coordination was on point as a kid. I was proud to beat the submarines.

Gotta love that Sega Mastersystem music. Doesn't hurt my ears at all
I always get this game's music stuck in my head.
Not only that but the music alone is just sooo funny😁
hahaha... its insane...
Let's pause and have a moment's reflection for all of the blue car drivers who died to make this longplay possible.
And all the innocent people in the ambulances
How exactly does that blue car make a left turn when it fills up the whole road @2:05?
Back in the day when games were challenging. Never finished in master system. Only the save state emulator 👍👍
You never finished Alex Kidd in Miracle World?
OMG! After 26 years I finally saw the end of this game! Thanks! But the music was once again stuck in my brain cells!
Same, but 4 years after yourself.
I've always been stucked at mission 1 😂
It's hard to get past 2, but I have gotten to 3 before. Choplifter I think is harder.
Took me forever to beat this game back in the late 80s
@@matthieufillon6746 I made to mission 3 twice this year, never gotten past mission 2 when I had my Master System
This game is exactly how I imagined it from the cover art.
LMAO fully man :')
I actually loved the music.... god this takes me back :)
Me too Action Fighter brings back lots great memories me and my cousin along with my neighbour playing this and other Sega master system games like power strike , wonder boy , wonder in monster land , fantasy zone and so many more
Why are people saying the music is horrible? lol. I fucking loved it.
Maybe because they think it sounds weird
*it's annoying!*

I don't think I ever completed this. Great memories
Wow. I used to play this game like it was my job back in the day. This brings back so many memories. Nice job!
Action Fighter was a nice Spy Hunter styled game, but very challenging to complete.
God I used to love watching my dad play this 😢
Minha infância!
Só agora percebi que não cheguei sequer no final da primeira fase!
@Yasmine Char hahaha me to
Na minha infância,o máximo que cheguei foi a 5ª fase(lembro que recebi um gato na tela)
Thumbs up if AVGN brought you here.
+KnighteyKnight Had to see what it was really about since that masterpiece of a cover didn't tell us jack about it.
+Blarchar .lol
+KnighteyKnight Had to check if the action is really tthat insane lol
+Monchi McAwesome It is almost as bad as the Winter Games skating stage.
thumbs up
I remember this game. Didn't clock it. It was tough. Great fun.

I'm 26 currently,playing on emulator,now I made 3rd stage,but not gonna ever finish it
19:28 Hey there giant mystery cat! Tell President I will complete all missions and I love the repetitive high-pitched music!
I came here specifically for the cat, I was beginning to think I was the only one who knew or I'd imagined it. Glad I'm not crazy :D
@@MrYin90210 I found it too

What a great classic game... I actually found myself getting aggravated watching you play
I was blown away when I found out there's an arcade version of this game.
Wow. That is some playing! That game is pretty difficult, don't think I've ever managed to get past the second mission and this play is a clean run-through without losing a life at all!
I used to complete this game and Mickey mouse castle of illusion, waiting for my best friend to come stay over!!! Good memories!!

Tough game. I remember my friend beating this in 1987 and all he got was "Hope you enjoyed playing" from "The President." LOL
LoL Epic End =)

Looking back at these old consoles, I never realised how lucky I was to have an Amiga.
I don't know what everyone's problem is? This is such an easy game....to watch you play and beat. ;)
This game just privileged whoever were able to dodge bullets, probably you're a rarity in middle of millions that finished it
Undiluted orange squash, hot central heating, and the music from this game basically sent me mad at a young age
This was the best game ever after Double Dragon .
Use the name DOKIPEN gives you invincibility. Can't believe I remembered that from 1987
I played it at 2008/09, in a master system game collection, and now, i remembered that name..that game, that sounds...
Used to play this game non stop when I was a kid in 97 but dam was it tough.
you had to have cat like reflexes for this game !
Wow thank you for uploading this. I had this game as a kid
Could bever get passed the first mission though lol. I was only 1 when it came out and was playing it from about 3 til 5yrs old
Wow, this was a big part of my childhood. Long time ago
damm!!! memory! is back on track great game back in the days! music is awesome!
Childhood memory! I never made it past Stage 2 and that was frustrating. It's more fun to watch the longplay video than play it myself haha :D
Well dude i must congrats you, i played it so much when i was young, and never beaten the game =)
never beat it either, it was hard.
The music is making me feel warm and sick
I wanna go back to 1987 and be 13 again. Playing this game for the first time. Without a care in the world.
Really cool concept with brutal difficulty.
The guy playing has mad skillz. Its a hard game and its easy to get kill by any incoming shots. I bought this game yesterday and never made it to the submarines in level 1. Well done my friend!
He doesn't have "mad skillz", he plays on an emulator with tool assists and save states. Nearly all videos on World of Longplays are done that way.
I knew I remembered those darn cats... wtf... totally cracked out. This game explains my personality disorders!
One of my favorites from my childhood. I remember beating this game! Not an easy game at all.
Man, this is from 1986, I first played this game in 2007, it was already old when I played it for the first time 😯
Loved this game when I was a kid, I didnt realise it was so short and you could finish it in like half an hour
Two dimensional gaming Style that required a talent that is completely lost in today's gaming world... edit: my God this player is superhuman
I remember a cheat for this game, Type DOKIPEN as your name and you can use any vehichle from the start.
Ich war so gestresst, bei diesem game. Hab es aber geliebt😍
R.I.P. the people in the blue cars.
I'm living the nightmare of my childhood. Again, after so many years...
That is no nightmare. Why would that be a nightmare? That is a good memory.
@@thedillestweed2644 Because it was HARD TO BEAT 😩! Lol
Esse jogo é insano e incrível! Só consegui chegar até o terceiro chefão! Quase enfartando assistindo isso agora!!!!
Thank you for this video! I never made it past first level. The homing missiles were just after I have ever ventured. Never saw that yellow kitty.
Eins meiner ersten Spiele 🎮..
Man wird alt 😢😮😊😊
Great work. Its 2021 and my Mastersystem is still set up. And I still can't get past level 2. I tried again today many times and thought to myself...whats past level 2. And now thanks to your vid I know
And then you'll think twice and say "It's better just watch it,I won't finish the game anyways"
PS:They say something about DOKIPEN that gives invincibility…so,you can cheat in order finish without pass anger doing without it
How exactly does that blue car make a left turn when it fills up the whole road @2:05?
One of my all time favorites
After all these years, I still can play the games theme in my head and it wasn't exactly a memorable game lol
gotta love that music
You have no idea how hard this game was
agreed. It needed a health meter lol
27 years old... wow, time flies.
Doesn’t he know that the second upgrade from the SEGA-truck are rear rockets that can shoot down the chopper above you?
Me either!
one of my first SEGA Master games... and eff that boss level with the triple tanks.
As a kid i was so disappointed with the ending.
Good show ole chap, good show indeed
Had this game as a kid...never could get past the end of stage 3, though!
I am amazed on how you escaped the helicopter attacks on ground neither firing ground-to-air missiles nor using 1+2 button combination.
Ive never known this game, pretty good
So many memories
Esse game é muito loko, mas eu ainda considero impossível de eu JOGAR
all of those planes being shot out of the sky is going to be a nightmare for the ground below
The sounds of my youth.
01:31 Aaaaaand, The Game slowly turns into Xevious/TwinBee, which is a nice way to Switch up The Gameplay.
The game has the Xevious lock target in front of the ship
This game looks pretty sweet. Especially for 1986, but I think the same guy who did the cover did the music.
Where`s the magnifying glass?
Motorcycle Mirror. It's on the front cover of the game's case/manual.
Gotta say. Between the title and the cover art, this is not what I expected.
I was with you until 10:27.
AVGN brought me here too!!!
Lord all mighty, that soundtrack just kills your eardrums, I mean, god...
That star on the title screen sort of reminds me of the Hanna-Barbera logo.
Real engaging commentary there, bro!
what ?
madmax2069 Obvious sarcasm since there isn't any, duh. lol
I could have sworn you could turn into a boat in this game :S
It's like Spy Hunter but with a fighter jet segment.
I like this typical MS OST… and is very good game (also cheapest too)
30 minuets? .... I can't even tell you the number of hours I dropped into this game.
Love the Sega trucks.
I remember this being really hard
Some people hate on the music yeah it is off but my self and friends enjoyed it I have great memories awesome game

I have this game. I don't know why but Sega Master System games are way harder to beat than NES games. I have only ever beat 3.
Wooow almost 30 shots to beat the last boss crazy was my game as a child
This is pretty dope
Wow ..i didn't expekt this game to show up on top. Came from AVGN
At first I thought this was a "Major Motion" ripoff, but then I noticed this game preceeded Major Motion by 2 years :)
Spy hunter and xevious had a baby after a drunken one night stand....
I use this music to go to work
As long as you don't drive the same it's all good
4:00 when i was a kid i never knew there was a boss here , cause i never managed to get as far 😂
