Becca, we can not have separate SEO title and description for every category in our product page? For example in my "Digital Content" store, I have a category "Lightroom" where I have individual packages for presets for Lightroom. Can I set different SEO title and description for the category Lightroom, Photoshop, Templates that I have? Or it will always pull the ones from the main store? 4:08
This is a great question!! Unfortunately we can't and I'll explain why: category pages are auto pages - pages that are automatically generated by Squarespace, not by us, the Squarespace designer. These include category pages, search results pages, your shopping cart page, etc. These pages don't show up in the pages menu so we can't access the page settings to make changes to things like SEO. Now who knows; maybe someday in the not too distant future Squarespace will give us more control over these settings, but for now, our only storefront SEO options are the store page itself, and the product pages.
