Especially when dealing with a quote and using [ ]. I'm a lawyer and have written at a high level. I wouldn't do it unless it was intentional, and I knew that I was slightly changing the meaning. If i wasn't changing the meaning, I'd leave the quote. His training is at a similar (if not higher) level.
Yesterday I was blessed to be able to spend some time in the temple doing sealings, and I was alerted as to how many times the phrase clothed in glory, righteousness, and power was spoken. This has also been speaking loudly to me in my scripture study. I have been pondering how can we do better at praising the Lord?. How do we bless the Lord? How interesting that glory, light, Spirit, and understanding are synonymous in the scriptures.
Great video. I've heard others say that President Nelson has also started using the phrase "last days" when he speaks instead of "latter days." That is almost identical to sometime in that it gives it more imminence and urgency! So cool that AI picked up on that.

Kaitlyn! I love this! Thank you!! Excellent find! And I feel 100% like you about that verse of scripture. I actually asked on Jared's video yesterday and asked for people's insights on WHY President Nelson keeps bringing this up. Because prophets bring things up for emphasis, not just because they sound pretty. So with all of his emphasis on this, there has to be a deeper meaning to it. And of all of the Second Coming scriptures or prophesies, why this one? Some of the replies to my question were awesome, and some were very dismissive - so I'm glad to hear that you're pondering it too to try to get to the meat of it! I have thought that I should go through the Topical Guide on "Glory of God", and I've wondered if there's something to be learned from studying the Mount of Transfiguration experience as well. Because on the Mount of Transfiguration, the apostles saw The Glory of the Lord. Also, another take on it (sorry! I've also been pondering this. haha) is that the Work and Glory of God is the immortality and eternal life of man. So could a part of it be a reference to the Resurrected beings who will return with Him at His coming? And I also totally agree that what he left out was just as loud as what he said. I'm glad you pointed that out.
Thank you so much for this comment!!! I was discussing it with my husband last night and he pointed out the mount of transfiguration as well!! You can bet this won’t be my last video on this subject!!! It seems to be important and urgent and soon!

Sister Nelson just gave a talk that asked a question. What would you do if you found out that Christ has returned to the earth, to visit his servants in private, preparing for his public return. Cleon Skousen said he would return to the earth and meet with modern servants, preparing for his return. President Oaks is very thoughtful with his words, and is very intentional with his words. He actually has been very bold and direct in his messages to the world to get ready for his return.

Think of Daniels prophesy, “time, times and half a time” this means 3.5 years…… I cannot help but wonder if “sometime” is somehow related to the biblical reference to “time” meaning a year?
They - the apostles and prophets all say it is closer than ever - the difference between day and time is not an issue. Time is measured only by man. The issue is what are you personally doing.
Despite popular opinion here... it really looks to me like Pres Oaks simply misspoke and therefore they had to put "sometime" in parenthesis in the written transcript. When you hear him say it, he pauses ever so slightly between "some" and "time"... like he couldn't quite read the word on the teleprompter. I know, not very exciting or dramatic. There are SO many prophecies in scripture that still need to happen before His return (which "his return" is in itself actually multiple "returns" - New Jerusalem, Adam Ondi Aman, Mount of Olives, entire world). We should be careful not to read to deeply into little things like this
I’m happy to agree to disagree… it seems like you are trying hard to disregard what President Oaks said and carefully put into his written talk.. not just a mistake… he writes his talks, submits them to correlation, way before he gives them. You will notice when they mess up in general conference they don’t go back and edit the written talks to match what they said… there is just simply a slight difference. I personally would rather be a little too prepared and read into things that could be of importance… than just throw out what they say as a mistake and not be prepared. I don’t think prophecy always comes to pass the way we think it will. So if they are emphasizing this.. which they are…(You can’t deny that they are backing up President Nelson’s words, with their own words and with the song choices) it must be because they simply know something that we don’t know.
@@AnticipatingChristsreturn Except that is my point. I don't think Pres Oaks wrote the word "sometime" in his talk. He was quoting The Living Christ document - I don't believe a meticulous, deliberate, "legal minded" man such as Pres Oaks would take liberties with changing one word in a sacred, established doctrinal document intentionally. (And if he ever did intentionally make a change, he would explain to his audience what he was doing) That's why I believe he simply misspoke. And because he did, that is why the "sometimes" has parenthesis in the transcript. But I totally agree with you on the sense of urgency of the brethren to exhort us to prepare for Christ's return now more than ever. And that the Second Coming is indeed closer than ever
@@davidbowman9176 Good point. Could be he case. I'm unfamiliar with the process of creating transcripts when errors are made. I'm sure the church has a defined process. On the other hand, could it be a Freudian slip? haha
You caught it when you used the day example. The next time it's said it will be instead of sometime, soon. After that, he is here. The parable of the 10 virgins is close to the point of no return. You will bear the Sons glory if your lamp is ready for your transfiguration. Also, soon, you will hear the Prophets speaking as Joseph Smith did in the Doctrine and Covenants. You touched it. By the way do not use the A1 thinking. You will push the spirit away. Ponder Brigham Young, and then John 17:3. If you know what I mean, than the spirit will open your mind and you will know and realize what you need to be prepared to hear and to accept before the day comes. Here is a tough clue. The United Order. The clue isn't we must follow the United Order (we will). The clue involves being ready. Are you?
He is literally only saying that it could be sometime meaning not some day but that it can also be at night. Just being more open about the night time lights we are seeing. That's it. Nothing more nothing less.
I agree with the differentiation that ChatGPT made of some day and some time, and P. Oaks wanted to make that change for some reason (the second coming is within sight).
AI will tell you what you want to hear. It's designed to be enthusiastic in it's responses. I know you're probably being careful, but please....be careful. It's a very, very flawed tool. I use it regularly, and it's so bad it's shocking that so many companies are jumping into it.
That said, I very, very, very much hope that the Savior returns SOON. I hope it's tomorrow morning. I do believe it's in sight. Please don't think I'm attempting to take anything away from that. I just do not trust AI.
Unfortunately all Denominations have error mixed in with some truth. Some have more error than others, but until Christians start giving their obedience to God, and seek to please G Him by honoring His Ten Commandments, then they will continue bring misled. We should want to keep the commandments of God, as we learn to keep our faith of Jesus.
They are prophets and apostles, called by God, and have the Power of God, to minister to the world in their special capacity!! ❤️ They are like prophets of old! 🙌🏼
“And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your SONS and your DAUGHTERS shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, and your YOUNG MEN shall see visions.” I’m LDS, but come on! His talk can’t get much more vague! I love the church but GIVE US SOMETHING MORE TO WORK WITH!!! I now watch prophecy from other Christian churches as well as (more than) our own, trying to see what is in common between what they’re all seeing and hearing. Their prophecy is much more specific and colorful, from kids on up to old people, men and women. I know God loves all people so would offer prophecy to those in other faiths as well. I love our church but I WANT MORE THAN WHAT THEY’RE GIVING US!!!
I don't get it. Even you are misquoting. 🤦🏻♂️ The Living Christ says: "... return to Earth", not "return to the Earth". Neither misquote means a hill of beans difference. So what's your point? Straining at a gnat is pretty fruitless.
Unpopular opinion perhaps, but when given context, I actually think “days” versus “day” is a grammatical distinction. Where “days” refers to a time period or trend, and “day” refers to a specific day. 🤷🏼♂️ not a critique, just a thought. 🫶🏻

He might as well have written [sometime soon]
On the other hand, could it be a Freudian slip? haha

Someday: eventually
Somtime: at an indefinite time.
I still need to watch the devotional.
Who 8s presudent Nelson?

You guys have no idea how much it helps!!!
I agree with the differentiation that ChatGPT made of some day and some time, and P. Oaks wanted to make that change for some reason (the second coming is within sight).
AMEN!! Hallelujah!
@@kz6fittycent I just said that that is how I understand the difference in those two ways of saying that and AI happened to agree.
Sometime can mean a time past or future according to the Oxford dictionary. Is he saying that it is happening now and the process has started.
Unfortunately all Denominations have error mixed in with some truth. Some have more error than others, but until Christians start giving their obedience to God, and seek to please G
Him by honoring His Ten Commandments, then they will continue bring misled.
We should want to keep the commandments of God, as we learn to keep our faith of Jesus.

Who is President oaks?
😮
🤯🤯🤯
Elder?
Prophet?
... Living God?
They are prophets and apostles, called by God, and have the Power of God, to minister to the world in their special capacity!! ❤️
They are like prophets of old!
"Time" is more general than "day." = less imminent. A history timeline deals with hundreds or thousands of years. Nothing "mind-blowing" to see here🤷
This is a huge stretch. The altered word is either inconsequential or misdirection. As in watch this, not the polygamy argument or priesthood ban or…
I enjoy what you have to say, but your hair distracts me. I’m sorry!
What would you like me to do? Shave it?

Thank you! I love you! ❤️😘

I love your hair. It suits you well ❤
I don't get it.
It very well could be! Thanks for being nice about your opinion! 😊
