i used to be so scared of adware because of the noises you get when it pops up, like the mcafee beeping noise
0:22 yoo I'm "the subscriber"
also, actually taking a suggestion from a viewer, wow! Most youtubers wouldn't do that, good job on being cool
i'm genuinely going insane because I was watching this literally no more than a few hours ago thinking "haha people aren't that dumb to download stuff like that right??" and then i literally just went onto my brothers pc and found SO MANY minecraft viruses and trojans it was genuinely jaw dropping.. it's almost like i told him to not download off of media fire and youtube!! i have no clue how to go about removing those so i'm making him take it in somewhere to be fixed -_-
every kiddo does that on thier pc
him trying to click the fake x at 2:40 had me dying
The man who can investigate the most malware.
The reason why it redirected you to Google may be because it's stealing information. In some cases, shady websites will run a script that gets cookies from where it's redirecting you to. Cookies can be used to get log in information.
not really due to csrf it's just detecting you have the addon so hiding the tab so you can't easily click remove
OH
5:52 the number 1 red flag when downloafinf Minecraft mods is:
If it's not .jar, it's a virus* approximately 99.99948536% of the time
*Not exactly, mods for older versions of Minecraft like 1.2 or something (was released in like 2012 or smth), they will probably be a .zip
A jar is technically a renamed zip, you can just rename it to .zip to see the contents
Not really, .jar files can be malicious too (including when you install them like a normal mod and run Minecraft)
When I was younger I was trying to install Minecraft mods from shady websites without even owning the actual game. You can probably guess what happened to the system...
Yeah, your father poped up from the screen....😂😂😂😂😂😂
best content for a real legend of testing malware
technically speaking. this is not the mod. but a site. the site is
Can you lower the volume of the random loud beeps some virus have
it kept getting funnier with the popups and garbage downloads
Very entertaining. I love your content keep it up!
The video title is misleading if it isn't a mod for Minecraft. Minecraft mods themselves camber viruses.
The Tone app is actually a NW.js app. The nw.dll and the icon is a dead giveaway. NW.js itself isn't evil, just a way to create a app from JS and HTML. Could be that d3dcompiler comes from them since it can be used to render the UI
An even easier eay to tell if a Minecraft mod is malware: you didn't download it from Modrinth's or CurseForge's official pages. (Yeah, there are paid mods & mods directly from the creator's websites, but I'm not counting those, they tend to be rather rare)
I can't believe how no one is taking about how in 7:06 he clicked on a completely unrelated post that has nothing to do with Tone.exe and is only showing up because it contains .exe
That can be hard to focus on every details when you process everything happening in a short amount of time.
Everyone been in one website like this for a texture pack or a shader
I have a question. Does apps must ask for admin perms to go C files or If I click them they can just go to C files?
Please we need more downloading malware videos like this
is "free mouse clicker" a virus? ive been looking for a reliable & safe auto clicker but ever since watching your video about auto clickers made me very unsure
just use the mouse software for the current mouse and then u can make a macro which can be a autoclicker like i got a model O so i have the model O software
A big red flag is that the title has "free" in it.
Op autoclicker 3.0
2:39 Not gonna lie, this sound reminds me of McDonalds.
“They include some built in adware for you, gotta appreciate that”
Yes, very kind of them 😊😊😊😊❤️❤️
4:40 Its wasting your bandiwidth and storage
Okay currently watching the video, it redirected you to way worse sites than what I got so
I guess that mod site is getting worse every day?
Or I was just lucky?
Imagine He Forgot To Run A Virtual Machine💀
i got The same thing on a Virtual Machine but the tone.exe file was called weather.exe
what virtual machine u use ? Virtual box , VMWare , Hyper-V , etc ?
vmware workstation pro
Thank you! I love the content! :)
Glad you enjoy it!
@@EricParker :)
if you use modrinth or curseforge then its fine to download mods
but at this point, learn how to make your own mods
because at some point, even those sites will have malicious mods and moderation is very slow to take them off
@@chibisayori20 Ok but I won't learn coding in Java to entirely remake an entire modpack like RLCraft
@@RandomBloonStuff you don't have to, you can just use MCreator
@@chibisayori20 No? Generally malwares is taken within 24h in a matter of fact, and the "scandalous" serie of malwares did not infect over 10,000 people, and hundred is usually pretty rare.
@@chibisayori20 MCreator cause a lot of problems due to how it's created and work. That can cause:
Memoryleak, instabilities, performance problems, various corruptions, can make your game stop working at any time, can make the game run worse and worse and pile up various conflicts over time, have compatibility issues with normally coded mods and Minecraft itself.
Of course, these problems are not limited to mods created with MCreator, and not all MCreator mods have problems or lot of problems. But it's not uncommon within the MCreator community to find mods with the above problems. They are known to avoid, to the point that scanners are used in support/helper environments to people complaining that a specific modpack don't work or stopped working.
Wait isn't the McFee the real since they can pay em to re derict to the domain
It's a affiliate link scam. The more people that "click" on the link they get paid.
tech guns for 1.18?! nah
Let’s give him scoail credit for watching our fav Asian yt
the mods arent malware or anything the site just isnt real
0:47 lol
scan nw.dll. interesting file for sure. Seems more like a crypto stealer than a miner since it has nodejs imports
Oh nooooo😮😮😮
(He made malwarebytes)
this is so horrible
Why?
hmmmmmm :/
Why does his voice sometimes kind of sound like Andrew Tate XD
