The first time watching the MV and hearing the song I wasn't to into it, but it's grown on me. I went in with the mindset that it was going to be one of their badass tracks we always get from them. Now I get it, summer sound, summer vibes, summer feeling it's so good.
Same. Soyeon knows what she’s doing. I always have to remind myself that Soyeon knows the Korean public way better than I can possibly ever know.
Seems like she’s really challenging herself to expand her range.

The girls are so chill because they enjoy each other's company and because they've got the material down cold. You probably haven't seen it yet, but there's a long bts video about the recording of "Klaxon" and it really demonstrates why Soyeon is a master-level producer. She's got the entire song in her head note-for-note, including the timing and inflection on each syllable, and you watch as she gently coaxes the members to make the tiniest change until it matches what she wants. Her ear for sounds is just nuts. It's matched too by all the members. She'll say do it just a little more this way, and they'll nail it vocally. I think according to the video, it only took two days to record the final version, which is pretty nuts too. Idle is such a complete, self-contained package, that I don't think any can match them for creativity and productivity. They're the Royal Flush of Kpop hands.
And, btw, in case you're not aware of it, Soyeon also has a cooking show, of all things, where she's in the countryside at a traditional house and whips up stuff in a giant kettle. Haven't seen all the shows yet, but they had her sister on one (that was a hoot), Youngi on another, and the members on another where they had to prepare a live octopus to cook and eat. Never heard so many "Ewwwwwwwws'" in your life.
I didn't know about Soyeon's cooking show, going to check it out right now ... thanks. I especially love Youngji, she's so funny, love her No Prepare Show.
@@Veronica.1371 The overarching theme is that she is cooking large amounts of food for a group of retired people in the country and serving to them. They don't know what to think of her at first but eventually love her, as we all do.

The release of "Klaxon" was unfortunately timed for me lol. Since Dreamcatcher just released "JUSTICE" two days later. As much as I love (G)I-DLE, I've definitely been listening to Dreamcatcher's latest release more. It's stunning in all ways.
Still, I always love (G)I-DLE's summer songs, they're so fun! :D Love seeing Minnie with that permed hair, and Yuqi is always so cute.
