- Best seasoned firewood standing dead fir that has been dead over a year. Here in British Columbia the two best trees to use for firewood are fir and birch but birch is much more dangerous to fall when dead as it rots very fast.
Nice job !! And nice looking firewood .
I used to enjoy the days out in the brush cutting firewood taking nice picnic lunch thermos of coffee in a couple beers never in a hurry just taking my time enjoying the day 👍👍
Yes that is pretty much what we do here a little exercise a little food a few beers or coffee depending on the weather, great way to spend the day.
Never burned it but man it looks nice to cut up....no limbs and strait as an arrow. Looks like it would split easy .
Yes it does. It burns hot and the best around to burn 🔥
7:45 That thumb needs to wrap that handle! I miss this myself sometimes and gets annoyed when I do it.

Thanks Larry it is nice here I will have a look at your channel
Hus-ka-varna running good! Why are the trees dead? Do you have the same insect problem that we have? Nice with dry wood!
Yes, we have the pine beetle not really bad here yet but very bad in some parts of B.C.
@@liveworkplaywilderness1877: Pine beetle doesn't kill red fir, most likely root rot .
You forgot to add the fuel for the human.
You are correct Ray, but it was a quick trip, so the humans were very cheap, and they were on empty by the time they were done.
