I have to say, cold steel throwing knives for the price! Of course customs are better but this comes in at a close second (also the tips on the "sport" series require a bit of work (uneven bevels) but otherwise really good) Good job cold steel! Keep it up!
Brilliant demonstration. Thank you. Why does Lynn wear black all the time? Is he secretly training to become a ninja? Is he behind me right now, reading this over my shoulder? Let me check jaskdfl;au dfgiao;dlfgjnak
I have a story to tell since I know people here (I hope) know how bad I am for buying these knives I am about to mention. So back in December I bought three throwing knives from a store. (75 dollars in all, it was a set) they were stainless steel but looked strong (now i know stainless steel is bad) I've been throwing them for a few months and one by one they break. I contribute this to me throwing them on hard wooden surfaces and start throwing on a foam target just to be safe. My last knife I decide to clean with oil and I get it really nice and shiney. third throw that day I hit my fence and the tip snaps off. then ext day I bought the Mini flight sport. It's supposed to be here by Friday so I am excited.
Very nice knives. Is that William Smith? He doesn't really need those, with all of his skills and credentials he can beat the wall to death. Most in Hollywood talk tough, he's the real thing.
the tip of my pro flight broke after one session. Although, to be fair, I was using an old furniture door as a target. And that wood is as hard and dry as can be. In the other hand, I took a file and made a new point.
***** Yeah. For just showing off what the weapon itself can do sport throwing is all that needs to be shown. But I would like to see what the people themselves can do.
***** Will do. I didn't mean to sound rude or anything. I just feel like so many people show off basic skills misleading people to think they are doing something impossible. Like a lot of martial artists that show off a bunch of flips and cartwheels but the second they get in a real fight they are unprepared.
Throwing knives seems like a super-human ability to me. How can you possibly predict the trajectory unless you've been given time to practice or choose the range beforehand? If I set up the target and the range blindly without the thrower knowing, how the fuck do they judge the throw?
Carl Bernroth It takes a lot of time and practice to develop the skill and muscle memory required. Also, they are throwing full spin and half spin throws, witch are much more difficult, because you have to judge distance and plan knife rotation. I prefer no spin throwing, because distance is irrelevant, and it is far more practical.
Carl Bernroth nobody ever threw knives throughout history as a reliable throwing weapon. its a last ditch effort when everything else fails. its too hard to judge the distance to reliably hit a moving target with the pointy end because for maximum penetrating power the point would need to be facing directly the target which is like 15 degress out of the whole 360 degrees circle. just pick a rock and hit the dude in the head, will be more effective in 90%+ cases. throwing knives is fun but it would be nearly impossible to use them reliably in an actual combat regardless of training, forget about Holywood movies.
Any chance for a tutorial on how to throw them with force? I can throw knives, have seen videos and none of them explain how to really toss them with lethal force. Saw the boss really putting some force into those things, want to know how to do that.
Can someone tell me why would you let the paracord in the handle if you are throwing multiple knifes? It will just waste paracord, I always take it out.
I'm wondering if throwing knives are a viable weapon to use in real combat? Or are they more realistically a flashy sport? If there are any weapons/history experts on here I would love to know. Have any past (or modern) warriors used throwing knives successfully in real time battle? Part of me thinks the coordination required would be too difficult to develop. I mean, you have pull them out before the enemy is upon you and hit a presumably moving target in an area that would cause them to halt their attack.
+Arkenholm the ancient military, like the modern military, would have spent hours per day, every day of the week practicing combat with every weapon they would use, in every conceivable scenario, but martial arts as with bladed weapons has fallen into the category of sport, but for one who is dedicated to true fighting arts, throwing weapons are most deadly, there is fellow on youtube here who can hit soup sized cans with those long 6" nails at 20 yards with accurate quickness.
I'd imagine there were warriors back then that have gotten kills with a thrown knife or dagger. You'd need a lot of practice with large heavy blades and throw them at lightly (leather) or unarmored enemy warriors. Ofc you wouldn't throw if you only got one blade left.
I actually have an update. I got my Mini Flight Sport today. I was throwing it at a soft wooden target and the tip bends. First day of having it and the tip bent. Really? I expected so much better. I'd like to reiterate that this was soft wood. Very soft and your knife bent on the first day.
Let me quote from CS: This makes for a hard, yet resilient blade that will "bounce-back" from any throw.Mine didn't bounce back, but snapped at half just in few minutes of throwing. Very cheap China made steel. shrani.si/f/3D/yH/4R3W7DgT/cs2.jpg
cool I love danner boots, most excellent choice, they looked as if they had some sort of wrap around straps along with the laces, must be for the leg mounted knives?
Kill Emos They were doing spin throws, so there's a lot of variables involved to determine the distance you stand away from the target. Doing less spins means you have to stand closer to your target. Additionally, longer and heavier objects spin slower, meaning that you have to stand further away from your target. Smaller and lighter projectiles spin faster, so you have to stand closer. So, in this video, the guy was throwing with a full spin and with a longer and heavier projectile, hence why he is standing further back than the lady that is throwing a half spin throw with a smaller and lighter projectile.
say what you want, but these guys are having more fun at work than you are.
We used to do this at our job when no one was around 😂
I meannnnn.... Yeah.
Perfect teacher, perfect textbook of knife throwing. I love it!
2:34 - NOOOOOO!!!! MY GRAPE DRAAAANK!!!!
I just love how the girl with the second set of knives is so close to the target
jacob blinkhorn if you practice combat style knife throwing you work from a variety of ranges.
Cold Steel I thought the first guy through them better lol
there tiny. they cant get enough range
Lol
It was fairly average if you ask me
And the second knife throw went through, which was awesome
Holy shit if anything the owner is a beast at throwing knives!!!!!
Man I do this for work have way too much fun all the time at work
I love my Cold Steel sure flight knives. I love the price I paid for them too. I will order 6 more.

Very good guys I just love what you do! Thanks.

Not gonna lie, that dude's triple spin at the door blew me away.
Also, why was the last throw of this video a handle hit? 4:23
Destroying doors with throwing knives is nice idea
for the game
I think the guy at the beginning won for accuracy.
LFPS0311 Anthony?
LFPS0311 yep
Minea Soeung maybe
My three Pro Flight Sports are excellent - my favorites
They're hitting there target but hey sure are taking their sweet time doing it.
***** Exactly. I want to see how well they would do if they had moving targets.

These guys are good
🔪🔪🔪🔪 The Pro Balance Thrower is the most accurate COLD STEEL throwing knife and hits targets the hardest ! This knife weighs a little over 1 pound.

You throw it the style militaries would which is the no spin so it flies like a dart
Jacob Timm What military trains it's members to throw away a weapon?
I'd love to try
That first guy is the one who wins a gun fight with a knife
2:00 Is this how Lynn knocks on people's doors when he goes to their house?
trever gray I know this comment was from 6 months ago but that made me laugh harder than it should have.
superb
good skills
really cool
2:00 No one buys doors likei that but you Cold Steel! But it is still impressiveish.
Sorry for the miss spell...
The perfect balanced thrower is Boss I owe one and that + Norse Hawk + My Throwing Hawk have reduced the bullseye on my target to zlitch
what is the type wood they are throwing the knifes at
DragoChronicSmoker42 probably pine or some other soft wood
Throwing knives is surprisingly difficult and fun
Also kinda dangerous if they bounce
Ive never understood why cold steel throws knives at metal objects
But it make us flinch!!! );
To show the piercing power of their knives or something like that
Any chance for a tutorial on how to throw them with force? I can throw knives, have seen videos and none of them explain how to really toss them with lethal force. Saw the boss really putting some force into those things, want to know how to do that.
Истребителям бутылок бурные аплодисменты!!
Why throw spin from the handle?? i just have never seen it done.
Who thought it was Gordon Ramsey on the thumbnail

I dont need convincing, I like the Jack Daggers best.
Any chance on doing a promo for those?
haven't seen one yet

im teaching my whole family to throw, (MidwayUSA caries the best price point on Cold Steel blades/free shipping too).
Please give the name of the music in the beginning of the video!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What's the difference between the new sport models and the mini/sure/pro flight series that was discontinued years ago?

the knife throwing was cool, but I want to know about the boots Lynn is wearing, what are they and wear do you get them? thanks
cool I love danner boots, most excellent choice, they looked as if they had some sort of wrap around straps along with the laces, must be for the leg mounted knives?
Shameless Danner sales rep. plug lol
But in all seriousness I just bought a set of Pro Balance Sports.
Cold Steel is a first class outfit.
They sure do throw em slow, I personally like throwing a lot harder and faster
Woody German agreed
Alex Nye
With throwing hard, comes reduced accuracy and probability of even getting the point to stick.
uhu
Alex Nye hey man, what throwing knife do you use? Any suggestions for a beginner?
And the guy was throwing from like 10-15ft
На расстоянии меньше трёх метров ножи не метаются
Assassin's Creed fans will love this, myself included.
I wouldn't advise theis to bennginners
