- In this video, I show you how to troubleshoot and replace a burner element on a Kenmore / Frigidaire Stove. If you have a burner that is not working or heating, this tutorial will help you repair the problem. The element I repair here is a turbo boil burner. Very similar to a dual burner or triple element but wired slightly different.

When you unscrew the stove top you can flip the whole thing over. Found it to be a little easier. Cheers

Great video. One thing he doesn't mention, is that the numbered holes on the bottom of the element, are not pre-drilled. At least, the weren't on mine. Be very careful, and drill those holes at a low speed.

Good instructions. I just installed a dual element Frigidaire burner, I did not take a picture of the wiring. The center part heats up, but the outer ring only goes 3/4 way around. Did I cross one of the wires?

Bill, the burner im having a problem with heats up on high but when I try to maintain a medium or medium high level of heat the burner sometimes goes off. Is this some kind of thermostat problem? Thanks for your help.

I'm lucky! Mine is a GE range that was made for SEARS and has a Hi/Lo switch on it for the power boil!!!

Hi Frigidaire burner comes on but switch is touchy to where it clicks on. Is this definitely a switch issue. Or could it still be burner.
Great video. I have a frigidaire glass top that has a problematic front right burner, everytime I turn that burner on i can hear it sparking behind the knob and one of my kitchen lights dim when it sparks. Any ideas?

I just replaced,working outside element only.Did I wired wrong?
Have a burner that still won’t work. It is the front left dual burner (simmer select) on a Kenmore range. I have replaced the burner (before testing, but ended up testing both and they both work). So, thought it might be the burner switch, so replaced it, burner still doesn’t work although I discovered that if I turn on simmer select the burner will warm up but doesn’t come on fully. I am thinking it must be a board as I didn’t see any broken wires or loose connections. Any thoughts?
Good video. I have a stove just like this and within in few months I had to replace a small burner. Now it has burned out, The other small burner is also out. Now the large burner the inside of it has burned out. This stove is only two years old. Is this just a piece of junk? No happy with this stove. I think of buying some else. If I keep this up I would have a fortune in it.

I have this problem on my 99 Kenmore stove. I was cooking last night, and the burner suddenly quit working. A few weeks ago, it was making an odd clicking sound as if the power was straining to come on. As I'm moving to a new house in less than a month, which has a new stove, I don't want to go to the expense of fixing it. But it will mean that I'm going to have one less burner for my holiday cooking. :(

Replace the infinite switch that controls that burner.
