Such great to see a video with zero dislikes ❤️
Thanks Jello & Pappy. Learned the most from this two episode topic thus far.
Understanding the capabilities and limits of carrier ops presented in these two podcasts would have been valuable back in the day as a A5, G5 and J5 military planner.
White float with a checkered pattern in back and normally a green cranial, squadron troubleshooter.
Great interview! Extremely informative. Certainly learned more than I thought I knew abour carrier ops.
Great! That's the idea.
Flight deck is controlled chaos for sure.

Cpt Anduze at one point says "shooters are aviators doing a tour on the ship" (5:45)
Unsure what that means, are shooters pilots as well or does the term aviator mean something I'm not aware of.
Thanks!
Shooters are pilots, usually from communities that don't go to the boat--like P-3s or E-6s.
@@FighterPilotPodcast Cheers, thanks for the quick response.
What does the V stand for in the VFA-143. I know F = fighter A= Attack. like VMF- 214 Marine Fighter
Fixed-wing. Rotary-wing aircraft (i.e. helicopters) use 'H'

After 31:20 you talk about issues, here is an example on something wrong so they stop the launch and cross their arms ua-cam.com/video/ALsi1CppMMo/v-deo.htmlm30s
Found no explannations on the failure we see here
Yeah it's interesting because you can see the pilot shaking his head to say "no" before the shooter takes a knee and crosses his arms, so something in the cockpit is telling him there's an issue.
