Avengers Infinity War and Avengers Endgame Nova Deleted Scenes Explained and Easter Eggs. Nova was originally planned to be introduced during an alternate Avengers Ininfity War Intro Scene depicting Thanos attacking the Nova Corps to steal the Power Stone in his quest to assemble all the infinty stones into the infinity gauntlet. Richard Ryder would have been the sole survivor and gained the Nova Force. Then returning during an Avengers Endgame Nova Deleted Scene in the final battle with Thanos' army. His arc would have been similar to Thor with Stormbreaker and Scarlet Witch vs Thanos in Avengers Endgame.

I'm 62 years old I grew up reading Nova Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy, The Inhumans, The Eternals. To realize that they're all Movies is mind-blowing.

I'm 57 years young and I literally grew up reading Nova, Iron Man, The Fantastic Four, Avengers & Silver Surfer as a few of my favorites. I enjoyed the forgotten heroes we don't talk about, Stingray, The Micronauts, Jack of Hearts, Rom the Space knight and Darkhawk.

I've loved the Richard Rider version of Nova from reading old Nova comics in the 80s.
I would have liked to have seen Ryan as Ghost Rider, I think this paves the way for Norman Reedus to fulfill his dream

He's too cute. I think the edgiest he could pull off is maybe Sentry or Constantine. Imo Ghost Rider should always be dark brunette and white or latino and Gosling plays kind blonds way better to me

@@DragunovWayne that's one of my least liked characters in general let alone iterations of GR. lol the blond/blue eyes juxtaposition against the edgy darkness doesn't work for me in that instance and has better impact with Sentry. Johnny looks more like a Thor variant to me
My ideal picks would be someone like Tyler Hoechlin, Blair Redford, Dominic Cooper, Oscar Isaac etc
But I think for stuff like Secret Wars or the D+ shows, go crazy and have a lot of variety since it's a multiverse anyway
I admit that I did wonder about how Thanos got the Power Stone, there had to be a story there. I can understand why TPTB put off using Nova for anything. They've been spread pretty thin over the last 5 years. The hick-up of the pandemic and the delays it caused hasn't helped (not to mention the passing of Chadwick and Sony's Spider-man grabby fingers as you mentioned). I still think Perlmutter has a lot to answer for with some of the missteps along the way. I've got faith that they will figure it all out sometime soon.

I feel like (some) Marvel fans are reprimanding Marvel too much because they want content to be like Endgame or like it's previous projects. While yes, it hasn't had the best content recently, we should acknowledge the problems they've been going through. I hope Marvel is able to recover!

Agreed. We can never have another endgame/infinity saga. Those times are gone any that could only be done once. All we can have is the next big thing but fans need to give the studio IMHO a little bit more grace in getting to that point. Heck they could always be DC....
They still need to do a flashback of sorts to when Thanos came to Zandar and defeated the Nova core. This brings back Josh Brolin to reprise his role and also can bring in maybe his two famous “daughters” as well helping him. I personally have no problems with Captain Marvel and Brie Larson.
Im just excited to see ryan goosling finally join the MCU whatever role he ends up playing im sure its going to be great.

I guess I’m in the small crowd that likes Captain Marvel, and the The Marvels movie.
I think the main issue people have with Captain Marvel is the actor, and the obvious downgrade in storytelling for the movie. Too cheesy for a serious hero.

Nova should have been the one to enter the final battle in Endgame and flew thru Thanos' ship. Wouldve made way more sense considering Thanos decimated the Nova Corps to take the power stone. Captain Marvel never made sense.

I 100% think that if Marvel would've lead the Multiverse saga with Nova the way they did with Iron Man the MCU would be in a WAY better spot right now. Would've alleviated half of the problems they're having. Capitan Marvel just isn't the one in this depiction‼

I'm good with Nova showing up --- as long as it's the Rich Rider version. He could be involved in some adventure with the GOTG or even the FF. Nova and the FF share Annihilus as an enemy and the FF comic has had a number of stories featuring Xandar as well. The Nova comic (after being canceled) storyline was actually wrapped up in the pages of FF, so there's definitely history with the characters.
Also, Rich Rider and Peter Quill were friends (Quill called him "Richie", LOL) in the comics, so it would be interesting to see how that relationship would play out in the movies.

Be great to see Thanos decimate Xandar for the Power Stone, which could introduce a younger Richard Ryder, then time-jump to present day showing how he's evolved, spending his time policing the cosmos. One backstory could tie-in to Gor and meeting the Guardians during Thor Love & Thunder.

Nova is one of my favorite characters in Marvel but if you bring Annihilis you have to bring the Negative Zone and that's where the Fantastic Four comes in because Reed discovers the NZ! I just hope they do it right with him.

Nova is one of the characters I want to play in marvel, if Ryan gosling signs on for the character it will be great to have him portray the character. He is a great performer and it will be great to see stories like annihilation quest!
Jordan taking all the rings is probably my favorite Green Lantern run. Next to his cameo defeating Mongol during the death of Superman arc.

Well, I'm sure MCU Nova's backstory is finalized. But if I were a writer, I would still use some of his backstory, but in flashbacks. A young kid [Millenial] is granted the Nova Force (by accident?) but he is was unaware of its true power(s). The AI in the Nova suit tries to act as a tutor, similar to the TV show "Kit" from Night Rider. But he bungles in his heroic efforts until he is confronted by a mysterious man.
This man is wise beyond his years, but technically, he is still a teenager. He persuades Richard to join his group of like-minded but young groups of 'heroes.'
After several low-key but essential adventures, Richard leaves the group (his new family) and believes he has yet to achieve the qualities of a hero or a leader. So he vows to never be Nova again. But during this depression, a call goes out to all Nova Guardsmen, that their headquarters is under attack by an overwhelming force. The call goes out throughout the galaxy for active and inactive Guardsmen.
Without a preamble, the AI in the Nova suit kidnaps Richard while asleep and transports him to the middle of the battle. Even though he has had some training with the Nova power, he still hasn't mastered it. But like the hero he was destined to be, he does what he can but fails.
This weighs on his heart, and he compensates for his lack of maturity. He then uses what little resources are left and recruits new Novas to make up for the loss of the corps and ultimately becomes the most extraordinary Nova in history.
Something the mysterious man told him he would be years ago.

One way to justify Annihilus intro into the MCU now is that after Thanos essentially destroyed Xandar and the Nova Corp in the main timeline, the elite scientists who were keeping an incursion from the Negative Zone (and the technology helping them to do that) are either dead or failing. One rip. Another tear. Then Quantumsnia happens elsewhere, which somehow exacerbates the situation. Then BOOM. The initial wave. One could also introduce to the MCU how the Brood were distant cousins of the beings controlled in part by Annihilus.
John Wick is MCU cannon and he becomes Ghost Rider...

Honestly my dream scenario for Nova, which will never happen, is to do a homage to Rocketeer and start it in the past - like in the 80's. Nova is one of my favorite characters in Marvel comics but I much prefer all the stories that are a bit more grounded.

@@Kirasfox Perhaps the biggest event he is a part of is called "Annihilation". From this event came 'Nova: Annihilation Conquest' which was a soft reboot of his ongoing story and perhaps the most famous. Should have come out around 2016.
But, for my own premise above, I think the Sam Alexander Nova (a kid that takes the mantle of Nova when he is gone) makes more sense. I am partial to Jeph Loeb "Nova: Volume 1: Origin" from 2017.
This is not a reboot but a new start for the character from the point of view of a new, younger teenager (Sam) taking the mantle. OG Nova (Richard Ryder) does show up later to mentor him.
This was way more information than I expected, a very thorough and fair take leaving people to make their own conclusions. Hard to come by these days
I wouldn't mind seeing them pivot Nova into the new Young Avengers group like he was in Ultimate Spider-Man. It would also be a great way to bring in White Tiger as well. I'd prefer seeing Gosling used as someone like Gambit, as opposed to Channing Tatum playing that role. Jacob Tremblay would be the ideal Richard Rider/Nova for this young group, I think.
Marvel needs to establish “Lanes” to keep everything more manageable. “Defenders” for Street Level, “Avengers” for Global Threats, “Guardians” for Cosmic Threats, & “Midnight Suns” for Dimensional Threats.
This would keep plot lines mostly in the subgroup of a few titles in the Genre, with minimal cameo crossovers. I mean, the “Defenders” never need to go “Cosmic”, nor do the Guardians ever need to return to Earth.
FF overlap “Cosmic/Dimension” & “X-Men” overlap “Cosmic/Earth”.
I feel like the best way would be to crib heavy from Abnett and Lanning's run on Nova. Have him out there protecting the cosmos during the blip. Maybe get weird with some cancerverse cthulu stuff? And build to Annihilation. So much awesome stuff to pull from.

@@christopherbennett5858 Iman Vellani is amazing. She's even more "Ms. Marvel" than RDJ was "Iron Man". She fits perfectly. She's even expanded her skillset to write her own Ms. Marvel comics which now also include her in the X-Men.

I think this is a great casting...
I wish they were doing movies more like comics. Hire and develop teams to create multiple movies for each character or group of characters, have someone maintaining continuity between them, very occasionally come together in big events. Smaller team ups with more popular characters can be more common.
I love the Sam Alexander version, my first intro was ultimate Spiderman. I was hoping we’d get an intro movie to him (young version) and then we’d get to see him join the Young Avengers, since Marvel seems to be building up to that. Also, I heard rumors about White Tiger’s introduction in the street level shows, along with the Defenders reboot. It was giving me vibes. Also want to see the Sam version because of how much he looks up to the Guardians. Wanted to see him join them too. We’ll see! I’m just excited to get any version of the character!!

My dream scenario:
Annihilus is used in 3 movies or 5 projects.
1st. Nova movie. There's a bad guy (Dargin Bokk) who buys an army to hunt the remains of the nova core for easier intergalactic crime-ing. Annihilus appears as an army merchant akin to the Kaminoans of star-wars. A Darkhawk armored vizier type is a bodyguard/advisor. His soldiers are his spawn and the wars he sends them to are unnatural selection for warrior traits. Nova ends movie trying to find out more about who's selling armies of bug mercs and finds a "pleasure world" all the surviving warriors return to for breeding.
2nd. Fantastic Four. This 3 act movie covers origin, getting lost in space and mastering powers while they try to find their way home. Act 3 has them on Sakaar where Annihilus is built huge and a current champion of the Arena. He fights Thing to a draw, in the down time before rematch you find out he's just crushing tail and spawning all these hybrid kids and training them to fight. Nova Shows up post credits to liberate them only to end up being swarmed (as they are all zealots).
Movie 2a. Preferably a Halloween special or maybe an episode of What-If... An X-Men property that goes to the Savage Land where an Annihilus is found trying to "hybridize" dinosaurs. Just as he comes to the realization he should be trying to "hybridize" the mutants and giving an arms-flailing villainous monologue, a t-rex just bites him in half.
3rd. Avengers: Annihilation Wave. The actual Annihilus rolls in. Nova and the new Guardians are fighting them. You find out Real Annihilus has dozens of these little annihiluses spawning armies all over the universe and now they all converge on Earth (which has the remains of a Celestial). The FF and Avengers team up to create a global shield to keep them out but are thwarted by international governments wanting control etc. Nova shows up on earth, gives the "this is what you're arguing about" speech condemning the petty squabbles of nations in the face of global annihilation.
4th. Avengers: Annihilation Conquest. The wave's vanguard touches down on Earth (they have an irregular like Terrax or some other evil former Herald of Galactus. Every major city is putting up a defense. The FF and Riri Williams are in the Celestial remains using a dormant heart as a power source. One of the Eternals is there to stop them. A fight and conversation occur and the Eternal is convinced to let them use the Celestial's power. The other Eternals reappear at different cities in a clutch moment and start turning the tide of the vanguard as Capital Annihilus is attacked by the Annihilators. The shield is finally activated and Annihilus is defeated. 2 Post Credits. 1st You find out the Shield's control and power supply are being diverted to Latveria's capitol city. 2nd As the wave is no longer in Thrall to Annihilus they bail out on a dyson sphere they call the Kyln.
Nova vs Diamondhead. aww yea

Honestly I want to see Nova from ultimate Spider-Man where he's just a kid learning about the super powers that he inherited from his dads helmet and instead of learning from shield academy have him be learning from the guardians of they were his first team anyways.

Well, considering how the end scene in the Marvels showed the X-Men world that we saw through 20th Century Fox, there's a possibility that it was on the '616' Earth, which means, Kevin and Marvel/Disney could introduce the 'comic book' universe, and in 'that' universe, we get to see Nova. I'm still hoping that Marvel will get the copyrights back so they can introduce 'Rom- Spaceknight' and the 'Micronauts' into the MCU.
