Is Vault Skirge good even without synergy? It feels like a worse Healers Hawk unless you have stuff like affinity.

Well - you don't need white mana - r any particular mana to cast it.. Generic 1 drop can sometimes be better than one requiring colored - especially in limited. It is a generic one drop - black phyrexian mana in it is "just a kicker" that makes you not lose two life when you cast it if you pay 2.

There's lot of synergy for it in the draft.. I passed it and kind of regretted it as I got bonesplitter and tons of cards with artifact synergies.. 6-3 draft - not bad - but it could have made it even better.
