No reviewers mention the elephant in the room, 2025 is cheapo repo interior to the max. Decontenting, and built to a price. No power adjustment on the steering wheel and sunroof doesn't open. Whats the matter afraid no more testers in your future if you point out these details
I just bought a 24 M40i because I didn’t like the new one at all. Some of the reasons include bottoms are gone (and the few that remain are capacitive touch bs), too much interior plastic, gaudy interior lighting, fixed glass roof and exterior body lines are nonexistent.
Great review! They should add back the rear seat recline and fix the interior to have less plastic. Would prefer it to be the same height as the outgoing X3 and should add an option to get the moonroof to open.
I like the 2025 enough to buy one. Ordered the 4 cylinder but that’s a good tradeoff for me (would rather have less power and $14000 more in my pocket).
And I am happy to tell you that you are right. Went to a dealership to test drive a demo unit that at the time arrived only a couple of days ago. The front vent controls were already stuck🤣
Might as well compare several different versions. Not every comparison has to be direct competitors. People like seeing if it's worth spending more for higher trims and things like that
Any leadership who is responsible for reviewing the design of all series BMW. I don't understand that what's kind of design language that designers are going to deliver
The preset and climate control buttons on the MY24 are a must. I can’t believe BMW did away with those for MY25. Touch screen can’t be manipulated by feel, unlike physical buttons.
yaa i dont know once you own a 22 model plus which is an LCI. other than the screen everything else is a downgrade in interior quality and lots of features removed. of course it drives really good as it should but the quality is just not there , i tried to trade my 22 for this but just cant with how many features removed / plastic feel of the interior. may be i should look at an x5 or next gen Q5
The biggest issue with the ‘25 is that it offers no real improvement over the ‘24. If you’re the owner of a G01 you’ll view the ‘25 as a DOWNGRADE. Why spend more if you are getting inferior interior, less buttons, sunroof that won’t open, rear seat that won’t recline, missing storage cubby underneath the left vent, missing red interior color choice, more glare on the new screen, and NO IMPROVEMENTS on the performances?
There are improvements on the performance, the 25 model has more power, I went over all that in the video.. It does have some inferior parts, but it's selling and people like it. Just depends on what you prefer. I honestly like the overall look and feel, it's grown on me.
@@BrosFOURRSpeedhe’s talking about the hp figures on the website. the performance 0-60 is STILL the same 4.4 sec. The previous generation LCI model has the same HP figures 0-60 4.4 secs. Remember you said those horsepower figures on your older vids before this new x3 came about.
@@BrosFOURRSpeed mate I stil love my good old G01 diesel but the G45 don’t deserve the hate in my opinion.. there is the X7 for those who want luxury everywhere.. I mean G45 is not that bad.. anyway I enjoy your vids from France !!
BMW need to stop cheaping out and copy competitors. I think the new exterior looks nice but the interior while modern but why all those cheap material? Just makes the competitors a notch more in my considerations.
I won't be trading my 2018 G01 X3 30D for this plasticky rubbish. Here in Oz, the 3-litre 6-cyl turbo diesel won't be offered in the G45. Pity, as that motor is a very refined fuel efficient stump puller.and the primary reason I bought mine. I see 6L/100Km on the highway.
Great comparison. The interior and side of the car are the worst parts of the redesign. On the sides, it's "blobbed" out and you lose a lot of those muscular lines that you had on the G01 generation. You lose that side vent, but the most significant part is the whole trim along the wheel arches that's missing. There's also barely, just barely a hofmeister kink at the rear window. The interior is over-simplified and bordering "cheap". Missing a whole lot on the center stack and the doors are bare. No more ambient lighting in the rear either. I had a 2020 M40i and now a 2023 X3M. Think I'm gonna keep this one. 😄
no i will not go to the 25, Im one who does not care for tech in a car. I do not use it, why salesman recommended the 24. He said and true if you wont use the tech of the 24 you sure dont want more. To me the 24 sitll say bmw in front, where as 25 say typical suv or any other brand. i will trade when warranty up, probably not BMW, may go down to cadillac since not a tech laden, mercedes worst then Bmw on tech
2025 model sucks, headlights completely ruined, grill not that bad but still worse, and the interior is a complete disaster - they ruined so good looking door panels, added this funky-clown design. the only good thing inside is that long screen and wheel - but it comes from new X1\X2\X5 etc, meaning it is not new, but what is actually new in X3 is all worse.
Omg, there’s plastic everywhere. Please tell me where outside of the door handles and paddle shifters. And the shifters can easily be swapped out. Omg, there’s no buttons. I sat in the car and in 5 minutes figured out how to quickly work or program hvac and radio stuff. Omg, I can’t open the sunroof. Well, when I open my sunroof on my 2022, there’s so much noise that it irritates me so much I close it in minutes. Omg, the car is ugly. Well, so is every other small mid size SUV. These aren’t supercars. The Macan considered the best in this category is hideous to me except in GTS trim.
So much hate for the new G45 it looks so so much better as for the interior tell me which brand isn’t moving towards cost cutting unless you want a Rolls Royce with a price tag of 400K just stop moaning ffs
Sorry, but NOPE. The exterior of the 25 is bland and bulbous in comparison. The interior of the 24 is simply higher quality. The glossy plastic center console on the 25 is already a fingerprint mess. That goofy giant lighted "U" in the center is a MISS. The list is long of lost features. The gains don't outweigh the losses. So who's moaning?! Just got a loaded 24 M40i. Let's see what they do with the LCI and I may continue with BMW in the future...maybe.

Yeah they skimped on quite a lot of things on the new one
The older X3 never had a power steering adjustment

What's "bottom" mean? Glad that's what you enjoy.
@ buttons*
You made the correct choice. I wouldn’t trust anyone who thinks the 2025 is actually an upgrade
Great review! They should add back the rear seat recline and fix the interior to have less plastic. Would prefer it to be the same height as the outgoing X3 and should add an option to get the moonroof to open.
Yeah I agree. Not the biggest fan of the new updates.
@@BrosFOURRSpeed however the EPSaps steering system and suspension is great in the new 2025 X3!
We just traded in our 2021 X3 4 cylinder for a 2025 X3 M50, and we LOVE it. I DO miss having some of the physical buttons, though.
Oh cool! Yeah that's my biggest complaint with new BMW's
Have had my X3 M 50 for two months now. Absolutely loving it. Prefer it over my previousX3 M40i. No question.
Oh cool. Glad you are enjoying it!
G45 look better in reel, do not underestimate the deformation by the lens
They both have a nice style to them.

My God, that new interior looks so cheap, especially the rear air vent controls. It's like a Toyota.
And I am happy to tell you that you are right. Went to a dealership to test drive a demo unit that at the time arrived only a couple of days ago. The front vent controls were already stuck🤣
Yeah I'm not the biggest fan. Drives great. But I like the old one
I have a BMW X3 M50, it is a great car.
Nice! They are fun.
I like the new front end better but the rear and of the old one better. Overall I’d choose the new
Yeah I can see that. It does drive great overall!
Finally the correct comparrison

The preset and climate control buttons on the MY24 are a must. I can’t believe BMW did away with those for MY25. Touch screen can’t be manipulated by feel, unlike physical buttons.
I believe the wireless charging is standard in the 2025.
Yeah possibly
Like every new generation - at first the previous generation looks better and soon after the new release the previous one just looks old. 😳
Haha yeah! That’s how it always happens!

Thanks for sharing! I'm sure the X5 will stay the same or be improved! Interesting move they did for the X3.
Go for the X5! Still has the classic look and the interior of the X5 is still classy!
Bought our 22 at lease end few weeks ago. Like it better than the 25

I showed it all, looks very similar.
