Great review! They should add back the rear seat recline and fix the interior to have less plastic. Would prefer it to be the same height as the outgoing X3 and should add an option to get the moonroof to open.
They use mostly hard plastics with a thin injected sensatec rubber on dash which looks like hard plastic. Only one aluminum trim piece around shifter. No full leather option. Minimalist interior with cramming everything into the center screen is what Chinese buyers go for (like what a EV looks like inside). And China bought over 800K cars from BMW last year which is by far their biggest market. The changes are more for their needs. Not what Americans want. Omg, there’s plastic everywhere. Please tell me where outside of the door handles and paddle shifters. And the shifters can easily be swapped out. Omg, there’s no buttons. I sat in the car and in 5 minutes figured out how to quickly work or program hvac and radio stuff. Omg, I can’t open the sunroof. Well, when I open my sunroof on my 2022, there’s so much noise that it irritates me so much I close it in minutes. Omg, the car is ugly. Well, so is every other small mid size SUV. I’ve written up salesman and lot attendants for driving half the speed you did on the lot. I’m glad you didn’t test the airbags with someone pulling out in a work van. Half these lazy ass sales people don’t even go on the test drive with a customer, and just toss them the keys, so you don’t know who could be pulling out in front of you in a dealership lot. Take it on the road next time and punch the gas like a man. I like your vids, watched many, but put some thought into responsibility.
I don't "punch" it in a dealer vehicle I don't own...that's not the point of these videos to abuse them, They aren't broken in yet, and not my car to do that. @@HiPlains1 buy what you’ll enjoy.
how do you like it overall vs the prev gen? am having a hard time deciding between a 2024 x4 m40i vs the new x3 m50 due to all the negative comments on interior quality. Thanks!
Like every new generation - at first the previous generation looks better and soon after the new release the previous one just looks old. 😳
Haha yeah! That’s how it always happens!
New one looks great but hard to loose functionality in the interior. Like all leather seats, reclining rear seats, physical buttons for HVAC etc.. , latch release near rear hatch to drop back seats etc.. I can live with the cheapo materials but don't take away usable features.
@@HiPlains1 buy what you’ll enjoy..
@@BrosFOURRSpeed Your younger then me. I'm 63 now. Not everything has to work like a smart phone. Don't like the design language here on the inside. Many oems are going back to physical controls because I'm not alone in that thinking. Hopefully this is just a passing fad for Bimmers.
BMW need to stop cheaping out and copy competitors. I think the new exterior looks nice but the interior while modern but why all those cheap material? Just makes the competitors a notch more in my considerations.
Yeah the interior is too basic for my taste
hope the facelift will fix the interior and exterior problems 🥲 G01 on interior definitely more premium and the back si more sexy for G01
We'll see what BMW does!
They ruined the New X3! It’s absolutely hideous
Yeah I'm still warming up to it
@@BrosFOURRSpeed enjoy your time spent on those menus. No matter how you slice and dice it will never be as intuitive or ease of use as knobs and buttons.
@@HiPlains1 I don’t see any issues with it, buy what you’ll enjoy..
Hideous! Go exaggerate some more.
2025 model sucks, headlights completely ruined, grill not that bad but still worse, and the interior is a complete disaster - they ruined so good looking door panels, added this funky-clown design. the only good thing inside is that long screen and wheel - but it comes from new X1\X2\X5 etc, meaning it is not new, but what is actually new in X3 is all worse.
I'm not the biggest fan. It drives great but I'd go for the 2024
Just depends on what you like, a lot of people are buying them.
These aren’t supercars. The Macan considered the best in this category is hideous to me except in GTS trim.
Certainly isn't everyone's favorite refresh. New Macon in EV form looks pretty bad too
Thanks for sharing.
Will will take the 2024 X3 the new 2025 looks like Shit.
I think it has a cool exterior look, wish some of the interior features were similar.
The 2024 looks old and like garbage
Really? I like it better lol. Both are great cars tho
@@ragnarlothbrok2782 the 2025 looks like a minivan from the back
I won't be trading my 2018 G01 X3 30D for this plasticky rubbish. Here in Oz, the 3-litre 6-cyl turbo diesel won't be offered in the G45. Pity, as that motor is a very refined fuel efficient stump puller.and the primary reason I bought mine. I see 6L/100Km on the highway.
We don't have a diesel at all for the US market.
no i will not go to the 25, Im one who does not care for tech in a car.
I do not use it, why salesman recommended the 24. He said and true
if you wont use the tech of the 24 you sure dont want more. To me
the 24 sitll say bmw in front, where as 25 say typical suv or any other
brand. i will trade when warranty up, probably not BMW, may go down
to cadillac since not a tech laden, mercedes worst then Bmw on tech
It's not much more tech, just a different screen with some added features.
2024 look like an x1 beside the 2025…
Yeah it's a bit smaller looking sue to the design. I like the old interior bette tho
Exactly. It looks like a little shy mouse beside the 2025. And people think it looks better than the new model...
+1 on 2025
It's a neat suv!
Lots of negative comments by people who don't actually own and drive the car...entertaining ..
Yeah very true. I still like the 2024 a bit better tho. But the new ones drives great!
Interior as cheap as toyota corolla for over 65k Msrp vehicle
Yeah the 2024 seems a bit nicer
5:46 that door card looks insanely cheap
Which part? Looks good to me.
Finally G01 looks like very outdated !! Happy to have order my 2025 model…
Oh cool!
So much hate for the new G45 it looks so so much better as for the interior tell me which brand isn’t moving towards cost cutting unless you want a Rolls Royce with a price tag of 400K just stop moaning ffs
it looks cheap inside, the silly light show and plastic all over
No not moaning just stating the facts
It's not every BMW model, interesting move for the X3 though.
Yeah, maybe they'll change back after this year lol
Sorry, but NOPE. The exterior of the 25 is bland and bulbous in comparison. The interior of the 24 is simply higher quality. The glossy plastic center console on the 25 is already a fingerprint mess. That goofy giant lighted "U" in the center is a MISS. The list is long of lost features. The gains don't outweigh the losses.
So who's moaning?! Just got a loaded 24 M40i. Let's see what they do with the LCI and I may continue with BMW in the future...maybe.
2024 now looks 10 years old…..yes, I’d rather have 2024 interior but I’ll get used to 2025. I have a 2022 lease about to end.
1:10
A slight bump in both hp and tq?
Can you math bro, that's a MASSIVE increase in torque. 428 vs 369
Pay attention to detail.
I mentioned the numbers for both cars...I was talking about the horsepower then..not a big jump in that..
No comparison the 2025 is an epic failure it looks like a potato
Have you driven one or just going off looks?
@ I have driven the outgoing model still considering getting a 2024 X3 M40i or a 2025 X5 M60i. I have not driven the new X3 M50 but to me it is so ugly I would not even consider it. It’s not just the looks there are several other reasons but looks alone does keep me from even considering it
@@vincentdinatale1731 fair enough, lots of good options.
Also those handles suck
Yeah sometimes I lose my grip on them
So I’m going to be that guy. You’re test driving a vehicle in a dealership parking lot to demonstrate acceleration?!
But 98% of the time, we drive these cars on the road and I have full detailed reviews of both models on the road with full test drives...Since I have those videos, I didn't need to drive far for this, but it wasn't reckless or putting anyone in danger.
Can you please start saying '24 model year. Not "24 year model". No offense but it's not like you are a professional speaker so you don't really have proper training in enunciating words. So often it sounds like you're saying "24 years model" which can be mistaken for a car that's 24 years old
When did I say that?
