I had confidence he would make good work, but yes it was a bit of a relief haha, he's done an excellent job! This should be seen as a full blown indie / niche house, not just a "youtuber" brand

Being both perfumers yourselves, you guys tend to have a similar detailed approach to analyzing frags. Love that. My initial thoughts were that I would enjoy Mon Oasis the most, but the entire range features notes that tickle my fancy. Absolutely agree that indie perfumery puts the humanity back into the art. It is an art after all, and IMO, the future.

I used to listen to Oasis (British rock band) so like the name but judging by the notes I don't think I'd wear it. Here is a tip: great Rhubarb (my fav) is in Rhubarb & Citrus Cologne by 4160 Tuesdays (also in England, are you familiar with Sarah's work? I adore it!) I've been waiting and waiting and all the ones were "no, no, pass, pass" until Murmure Chypre! Love the name, love the notes, love your reaction! Want it already. Orris and civet are among my fav notes and dirty floral is my vibe. Don't like jasmine or leather but still intrigued. Ok, last one sounds like the easiest to like for me. I'm finally wearing murmure chypre right now. Starts out a little green and quite soapy, a good floral blend, its like marigold soap on me. I never got the dirtyness really. Then that soapiness kinda gets replaced by an oakmoss and tobacco while I still get a big dose of marigold. Its quite nice and smells wealthy and of really good quality. My house growing up had marigolds planted all around by the front door so maybe why its so prominent to my nose. Finally the leather comes out, its kind of a light leather accord very classy, and the jasmine is taking over the marigold. I think it would smell lovely on a woman as well. Like you I want that orris butter stage to stay around longer!
@@FragranceView De toma a zouma is the best coffee fragrance ive ever smelled and I got a compliment from it almost instantly lol. I don't usually like coffee smells i dont drink it either. but that fragrance is really nice and could end up his best seller. to me it reminded me in the dry down of coco blanc from house of matriarch though I didnt smell them side by side. that was the only fragrance that came to mind though! smell any similarities to coco blanc? and Voile d'encens is one of the most interesting fragrances ive smelled and actually think it leans a little feminine lol so definitely rides that line well!! the rhubarb is really strong on my skin. smells amazing after 3 hours or so though!

Next couple of weeks - had to make the decision of not using the Ensar oud's though.. the amount I needed to use in the formula made the fragrance incredibly expensive, it wasn't practical.. So I replaced the wild Ensar oud with a sustainable more affordable farmed vietnamese oud instead. If I use the Ensar I have in the future, It would have to be a limited edition at a much higher price unfortunately!
@@FragranceView I fully understand and I am sure everyone else will too. You must have bought a lot of the XXL Oud though... I remember you having 12ml plus of Oud Yusuf...
I need some help with an independent opinion between two fragrances you at least smelled I think. Presently I can only buy one of them. 1 Lune Feline(Atelier des Ors) or African Leather(Memo). They are totally different fragrances, I like both.. I like African Leather, I did a review on it. I'd probably stick with the Lune Feline, I've had the opportunity to buy African Leather and never decided to do it.
