Your leg WILL heal and in no time you WILL be back on stage, this is just temporary....in the mean time live it up doing other things that excite you and that you are passionate about....😊sending tons of love all the way from the island of barbados in the Caribbean, West Indies...I would love to visit Amsterdam one day and see you perform 😊😊
Here is a Kleenex. Do cry because it hurts and you are human. Let it out and shout--no heart attack! What you are feeling is part of the process of accepting your situation. Every athlete has been here. It is WHAT you do and how you bounce back that matters. Stop hating to go to into therapy because it is so important. When I visited your company, all the dancers had nothing but GOOD to say about you! They really adored you and said how beautiful a person you are and how elegant. Take these lemons and make lemonade! Hopefully, you are on disability/unemployment and don't have too many financial issues. You still have several engagements (this will keep you busy) and so many options! All those young dancers needing mentoring are not going to turn you down! I am a teacher and get great pride whenever one of my students completes their masters degree or dissertation! If you help a dancer to make it to the level you are at, it is like icing on the cake--sweet! You could get your qualification to teach or choreograph if you don't have it already! The University of Amsterdam is not a bad address to take up a course of study--unlike the US study is practically free and a BA/BS only takes three years! You're so young--make this work for you! Plus, I STILL plan on visiting Amsterdam in the spring regardless of whether or not you dance! I have to take the next course of my study! I could use a ray of sunshine especially since Amsterdam is so rainy in the winter! Get well! Hands a box of Kleenex. I know how you feel. I failed by written exam for my PhD and thought my world was at an end! Cried for three months straight!
Wishing you healing and recovery in every way. You will emerge from this even stronger -- take heart and inspiration from your colleagues like David Hallberg -- great things are waiting for you!
