Same experience. I removed the safety/decocker to get a better grip on the slide with my pusher tool. Still a beast to get off.

Was there a set screw in the original Beretta rear sight?

No there was not, but those.sights are tight as hell

Those should be fitted before you push them that’s why there so tight
