I remeber the first time I saw back in 2000 and when he said that line all i could think " Days of Future Past" so when they announced the movie I lost it.
I love how it incorporates the 90 cartoon theme, it's subtle but it's there :)
IT DEFINITELY is. I was so suprised that nobody was talking about this. I really liked Micheal Kamens score because it reminded me of the old Xmen cartoon.
This is such an underrated score. Ottoman's is fantastic, but the way Kamen incorporated the cartoon's theme is awesome, and Cerebro is fantastic as well.

Tonally, it's spot on there. It's not a bombastic march like Superman or Batman's, neither does it have either the hopefulness nor brooding of either respectively, nor does it have the slight air of wonderment which Elfman brings to Spiderman's - it's more purposeful, serious and somewhat restrained, it has no major climax nor does it have many colourful or badass sounding flourishes - its intensity and never-ending sense of unrest describes the X-Men's story perfectly.

Agree, although X-2 isalmost as gorgeous. The X-men soundtrack is certainly more intense and beautiful than x-2

¡Qué Gran reparto! Sin duda alguna el mejor de toda la Historia de una película de Súper Héroes. Gandalf y el Capitán Picard y el único Wolverine creíble. Pero las mujeres NO se quedan atrás. Todas muy buenas, lo único malo es que sólo Hale Barry tuvo una carrera después de esta película, las otras dos desaparecieron.

This is the first and best one, along with the score and direction.
X-men movie. Second comes X-men 2 and after that, the other new ones. Wolverine is a stand alone as a title so....dunno.
It's really the best, more serious and mysterious.

First time I heard this tune, I thought i heard cues to the 90s theme while being different from it.

2:02 the drumming is from the 5 second intro tune of the 90s theme.

@Jason Hahn, yeah. I really dislike when the theme for a movie is set up, and then is completely disregarded in the next one. It kinda seems to be a marvel movie thing.

As good as Ottman's, Powell's, and (Henry) Jackman's themes are (and, c'mon, let's be honest and give credit where credit _is_ due, they *are* _very_ good, each of them), Kamen's is really the best. It captures the spirit of the X-Men best. (Though, yet again, the others are _not_ at all _bad_ in this regard - it's just that Kamen's original is the best.)

Completely agree. His compositions are the best of the saga. I love the futuristic, peaceful, sentimental, powerful and "mutant" tones they have. The other soundtracks are still great, but very epic for my taste.

To me I think the preferred theme would be the music heard during the end battle when Magneto is stopping Wolverine from rescuing Rogue.

This is an underated movie with an amazing theme. This is my 3rd favourite x-men movie only after first class and X2. And we probably would not have the MCU or anything today without this movie ( and also the 2002 spider-man )

Yes. Thats my fourth favorite, i did not like the fact that Mystique had another main role. Though i liked much more then apocolypse. I also quite liked X-men 3: The last stand, i thought it was alright and better then apocolypse
Spider - Quilava Both the above comments were mine, 2 accounts lol. Yes, DOFP is amazing. And X3 is a fairly enjoyable film. Forget about comic accuracy. Great action, high emotional stakes, etc. Apocalypse was the worst main X-men film. It was trying too hard to be a Marvel film with the destroy the world plot and forced jokes. The X-men have never been about that
