Please consider reading "Eternity With Your Pets" which was written by a believer named Caren Clevenger who asked God this question then sought out the answer through the scriptures. Animals were and are innocent, they don't need to be saved. Man sinned! They were actually used as sacrifices to atone for sin until Jesus became the ultimate sacrifice. The book is actually very evangelistic in nature as many unsaved people get turned off if they think their pet isn't going to be in heaven. Well, what if your pet is going to heaven but you don't have that assurance? The book gives them the opportunity to accept the Lord which is wonderful.
That’s an interesting prospective. Let ask a question and I would like to get your thoughts because you read that book. What about a dog that kills a child? Is it still innocent?
@@glorycarriersinc I have not read the whole book but animals are experiencing a fallen world like we are, it's not their fault, their nature can be corrupted as a result and demons can inhabit them and take control. Jesus cast demons into the pigs showing they can be inhabited, too
@@glorycarriersinc those dogs were often abused and neglected by a human, also many times when a dog attacks a child the child hurt the dog and it acted out of instinct to protect itself
This is an interesting topic, and I think that one's relationship with their pets has a lot to do with what we want the answer to be. As a personal example, two days ago we found our 9-month kitten somewhat mutilated by who knows what. He suffered for hours before we found him and had to be put down after. So just the whole idea of knowing that something that you love or appreciate so much has to go through such pain and suffering is hard to deal with. The idea of thinking that he is in heaven or some heaven-like place, or that we will see him again provides comfort. Others who don't have such a relationship with animals may be careless about it and will assume pets stop existing entirely after they die. Either way, there is no way to know; we can just assume things. The Bible was not given to us to answer those type of questions, I think. But I do want to share a few insights: 1. I personally don't like using the phrase "in heaven" myself. This is because what I see from the Bible is a clear explanation that God is in the process of creating new heavens AND new earth (All the promises of restoration in the OT and even NT, including Revelations, lead to this idea). And all of them present a picture of creation similar to what we see in Genesis 1-2 and the rest of human existence, at least to the degree that the world was when the Bible was written; God wouldn't reveal computers or AI technology to people two thousand years ago anyways. So I like to emphasize that along with "heaven" we also get a new earth, and that eternity will be a sort of union between both. Therefore, I don't think we will live in heaven but on earth, or a place where both realities merge together under the rule of God. 2. You guys mentioned the fact that Jesus came as a human to redeem humanity, not as an animal to redeem animals, or in other cases, as a tree to redeem trees, etc. I see the point that you're making there, but I think that things are not as simple as that. For example, the whole creation is under the corruption of sin, not because of the sin of creation but the sin of man. Genesis 3 says this and so does Romans 8:20. In other words, since humans represent all of creation before God, their sin and its consequences are transmitted to the rest of creation. If this is the case, then Jesus's redemptive work on the cross as a human is not for humans alone, but for all of creation, since through the redemption of humanity, all of creation is also redeemed. Isn't this what Romans 8:21 is saying? Ephesians 1:10 also mentions that in Jesus all things are being united, both things in heaven and on earth. Same with Colossians 1:19-20 Now, I understand that animals are different to humans in the sense that they don't possess the image of God, neither the level of consciousness that humans do, which means that they don't have the ability to acknowledge Jesus, repent, be aware of their sin, etc. But I think that is beyond the point. Animals are not aware of sin either. They are not moral beings, and God doesn't hold them accountable to their actions like he does with us, I think. This leads me to think that redemption for them wouldn't flow the same way as it flows for us humans. But then again, I am not stating this to prove anything; imagine if God was committed to resurrecting all the trillions of creatures that have ever lived and died since the beginning of creation; that sounds a little insane. But what if He simply wanted to bring back the ones attached to his redeemed? Wouldn't that be something! I do believe that the new creation will be similar to everything we have now, including animals, vegetation, etc. And I do hope our lost pets will be there, including our recently deceased kitten Juneau. But I am saying this today, with pain still in my heart. If that wasn't to be the case, we will be whole and eternally happy anyways. Our current pain will eventually cease. Our joy is found in Christ Jesus our Lord, and we will enjoy the new heavens and new earth with Him for all eternity! Thank you so much for sharing on this topic! It has brought me some comfort
Thank you for your interest prospective and insight. I think will be so caught up in God it will be beyond what we can imagine here. The verse that I think of that Jesus talks about marriage saying we will be like the angels and not given in marriage. (Mark 12:24; Luke 20:34-36) this seem hard to fathom because I love me wife dearly. But when we are both in heaven we will experience perfect love of God. It will be so beyond what we know here.
Thank you so much for your time on this matter. I disagree with you because you left out Romans chapter 8 verse 21 to 23 which states the whole creation which includes animals and humans will be liberated and will be set free from the bondage. Also you left out Isaiah chapter 11 talks about animals being in the millennial and you left out Isaiah chapter 65 verse 25 where there will be animals in the new heaven and new earth….. First of all we don’t know anything concerning this, but if we look at who God created first and then look at how many animals were saved compared to humans I’d say, we aren’t as top dog as we think we are!
When you say saved do you mean at the flood with Noah on the Ark? Also what about in Geniuses 1 that says we are created in the image of God. No other created being gets that kind of title.
@@glorycarriersinc Yes the flood, God saved animals by the boat load. No pun intended. And you never created anything with your own hands have you? See when I build or craft something it’s personal and it has me all over it. And we were created in their image! To many people want to have to ability to answer every question that comes along, but a wise person knows it’s honesty to say, I don’t know. And it’s arrogant to assume.

Thanks brother, i’m glad you were blessed by it. We have to take feelings out of it and look at scripture. I think a lot of ministries preach a feel good message with no scriptural backing or evidence.
I have been loved by plenty of animals I never fed, I am so sick and tired of people saying that nonsense to prove their silly point, as if humans don't "love" you based on what you do for them like feeding them or giving them money etc quit your job and say you aren't working anymore, lets see how much your wife "loves" you then most people will just use you or reject you immediately animals don't sin, they only act in the way God designed them while humans regularly do things that are abnormal and evil they are more deserving of Heaven than we are, if they aren't there it isn't Heaven
@@Little_Muskrat13 we are having a discussion regarding the topic nor do we claim to experts. Can we have different opinions and be mature enough to disagree and still be respectful.
@glorycarriersinc I don't believe I was disrespectful in any way, shape, or form. I also believe there are several Scripture verses which support the fact that animals, although not made in the Image of God, nonetheless have souls.
God took me to the edge of Heaven to see my beloved Pountz. I have NO DOUBT. God has them, HE TOLD ME SO.
Ok we can have different beliefs and still have a good conversation right?
@@glorycarriersinc We can indeed. However, you're most incorrect. See Psalm 74:19, Revelation 5:13, and 1 Cor. 2:9, to list just a few.

@glorycarriersinc How many canines have killed children ? Not many, and angry/abused canines most often have been abused by sinful mankind.
